We will meet at the Launching Sites and prepare teams of volunteers to deliver the Thanksgiving Baskets.  We will drive to the Delivery Sites and deliver the surprise Thanksgiving Baskets!  We'll see you at 7 a.m. on Nov. 23rd at the Launch Site you select below! Do your best to meet us at 7 A.M. How soon we leave the launch site and go to the delivery site depends upon how many volunteers are there and accomplishing what needs to be done first. At the Basket Delivery Training Meeting, we'll form small delivery teams and be trained about delivery roles we will have while delivering the baskets. Please do your best to arrive near 7 am and before the Basket Delivery Training Meeting so we can count you and can form and train more delivery teams (which is important). If you arrive late and it's after the Delivery Training Meeting (but before the group leaves and drives to the delivery site), the Delivery Coordinator can have you just assist one of the other trained delivery teams. But please do your best to arrive on time so you can be counted and we can form more delivery teams.

After the Basket Delivery Training Meeting, volunteers will drive in their cars to the delivery site (delivery site will be announced at the Basket Delivery Training Meeting). The baskets should already be in large trucks, but you can bring a van or truck if you want to offer to help transport extra donations if that's needed. It is uncertain when the Basket Delivery will be over, since that depends on many factors (including the donations arriving on Nov. 23rd and the number of volunteers who join delivery teams). Usually we are finished by late morning or early afternoon to mid-afternoon.

The 5 delivery sites are delivering 1000 baskets this year! We are short at least $1400 of the funds we have already spent in order to give surprise baskets full of holiday meals cooked by award-winning chefs, new toys, sparkling cider, and flowers to 1000 families. If you want to bring something for the families, you can also make a fully tax-deductible donation on Nov. 23rd (check, cash, or credit card info) to help offset the significant cost for the holiday food baskets and toys this year. Every donation goes to help the families and to make the Holiday Basket Delivery a wonderful and unforgettable day.

You are also invited to the Holiday Basket Assembly, especially if you can't come on Nov. 23rd, or if you have extra time. It's fun to assemble the Holiday Baskets and create the surprise gifts these families will enjoy! The Basket Assembly is Wednesday through Friday, November 20th through 22nd. We are looking for people to help 10 am to 2 pm or from 2 pm to 6 pm on those days. On Saturday, November 23rd, it's a good idea to bring a bottle of water and a bag lunch or snack for yourself. Wearing jeans and sweatshirts is ideal, and be sure to bring warm enough clothes. We ask that you avoid wearing clothes or items that highlight any particular organization, so people don't guess or speculate who are the specific donors or deliverers.
