Because God wanted to take the lost tribes of Israel; that
is, twelve scattered tribes. They are
not strong in heart; but the Judah tribe, they will want only the Prophet and
the King. They were willing to wait for
two thousand years. So they go to a
Hindu, “You do this, you must have an idol; otherwise no salvation for you”. They say.
You know why idol worship came for Judah? Tell my why? Without idol
worship, they cannot have hope in the King.
If you ask a Hindu he will say, “How can you say that you are not a
Christian without having an idol in your place?” One man telephoned me,
“Bro.Lawrie, I agree – atleast you must have the image of Ganesha in your
prayer hall!” Then I told him, “Okay,
I’ll look only at the Word!” Now, if I
were to take that image, if you want to make me a Hindu I can do that. But I will tell you a secret, how they are
going to find the King. They have to
serve wood and stone. So what will the
Judah do? We’ll lose God, if we don’t
have a stone or an image. Oh! If we don’t worship a stone or sand we’ll
lose our god! We can’t see our King.
But they cannot worship any
creature. So they made `thathuvams’
(philosophical forms) as god, by putting people as god who were never known in
this world: with five legs, four heads,
thousand heads – they made like this and made ‘thathuvams’. They had four heads. Like that there is nobody in the whole
world. So God cannot blame them as idol
worshippers, because they are worshipping something that is not in this world
and not created by anybody. He said you
should not worship creatures. So, even
though God brought this as a curse, the only way of getting out of the curse
was to worship something which is no existing as creation. They took their punishment, but never wanted
to give up their God. So, in wood and
stone they formed their own God. So
among the Hindus there are two groups of people. Same image they’ll worship; one as thathuvam and one as
real. Those who worship the thathuvam
they are the real Judah. And what did
God say? Where did He promise to
return? He said I’ll return…….When you
are doing this…….Deutronomy 30:1-3:
“And
it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing
and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind
among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, and thou
shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey His voice according to all
that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and
with all thy soul; that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have
compassion upon thee and will return and gather thee from all nations, whither
the LORD thy God hath scattered thee:”
So, when will He return? Romans 11:26:
“And
so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written. There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away
ungodliness from Jacob:”
It doesn’t say, ‘idol worship’ from
Jacob. At the end who comes? LORD GOD.
So they have to listen to His voice.
Deutronomy 4:27-31:
“And
the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be let few in number
among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you. And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and
stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt
find Him, if thou seek Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these
things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD
thy God, and shalt be obedient unto His voice:
(for the LORD thy God is a merciful God:) He will not forsake thee, neither
destroy thee, not forget the covenant of thy fathers, which he sware unto
them.”
At the end who comes? LORD GOD.
So they have to listen to His voice.
Then He turns their captivity.
So now they are concentrated in one place. So what happens, when they are worshipping wood and stone? All these days I didn’t know the secret why
they were forcing me to worship idols.
Because they cannot believe somebody to meet God, if he does not come to
that position. They will say, “We love
Bro.Lawrie, he is a nice brother; but this one he doesn’t do – that is our
test.” What is their test? Only if I have a Ganapathy or something and
worship, they will believe me. So I was
very much upset because I can’t do that.
Then God revealed this.
Now
see, I come home from Ceylon (Sri Lanka)……. My wife is hanging my picture and
she is putting garlands and paying respect to that picture. When I come she will not say, “Please put a
garland to that picture, we will eat after putting a garland and worshipping
it.” Then I say, “Whose picture is
that?” – “It is your picture.” – “I am that picture, how can I do pooja to that
picture?” – “Oh! Is it so? Then you
need not do that.” How should they
recognize the coming King? The King who
comes to them, even though He agrees to everything, He will never agree to worship
the image. Then they realize, “Why
should He come to us without worshipping an idol?” Then they listen to him and turn to God. Then they say, “All these images are only
for that person. He himself has come
and then why all these?” Immediately a
joy comes to them. “If this is so, we
don’t need all these now; till He comes only we have to have this.” Because, in the idol worship, God promised
to return and meet them. So what will
the real Judah tribe do? They are
worshipping idols only to meet whom?
Their King, who depicts all that.
So when they come to that, in revelation they say, “He doesn’t worship
because in Him we find all these things.”
So what they will do? They’ll come and do pooja! Why they put perfume and rub on the feet and
all? When they get the revelation that
what we did to a stone, now we shall do to the person Himself. In between so many false people come taking
all the glory. But Judah won’t believe,
because all the three religions will have to join in one person. So they leave their religion and gather
here.
