SRI LAHARI KRISHNA MAHATMYAM
....... Once upon a time, it is said
that the FOUR sons of BRAHMA - Sanaka and others (CERAPHIMS of Isaiah Ch.6,
Rev. Ch.4), the sinless sages arrived in Badrikasram (EDEN - PARADISE
TYPE) and came across NARADA (HOLY GHOST TYPE), who appeared to be
somewhat dejected. Then they asked him
the reason for which Narada replied thus: "Knowing this earth to be
the best of all lokas, I came here and visited all punya kshetras. But I found nowhere such joy as would cause
satisfaction to my mind. The earth
stands assailed at present by the AGE OF KALI (SATAN), the helpmate of
unrighteousness. There is no
truthfulness,Tapas, purity of body and mind, compassion, nor there is liberality
to the poor. People are wretched and
engaged only in filling their bellies.
They make false statements, are slow, dull-witted, afflicted. Those who pose as saints are constantly
engaging in preaching false doctrines (especially after the glorification of
IYYAH). Those who left all (for the
sake of ministry) are rich in worldly riches, possessions and have become
family men (worldly). Women rule the
houses. Hermitages and places of
worship are controlled by foreigners (e.g. Ashram). There is no YOGI nor ONE who has attained
perfection, no enlightened soul and no man performing righteous deeds. All spiritual discipline stands consumed by
the wild fire of Kaliyuga. In this age,
people at large take to the business; Brahmins sell the Vedas and women live by
prostitution, etc. Thus observing,
while touring round the earth, at last I reached the bank of YAMUNA, the scene
of the past times of SRIKRISHNA (Type of Ashram in these days). There I saw a wonderful thing. A young woman (DOER BRIDE) was
sitting there distressed at heart. TWO
OLD MEN were lying unconscious by her side breathing hard. The young woman was nursing them. She tried to bring them to consciousness and
wept before them. She looked all around in search of the LORD (LAHARI KRISHNA). She was being fanned and served by hundreds
of young women again and again. Out
of curiousity I went near her. She saw
me and agitated in mind, spoke to me: "O, Pious soul, put an end to my
worry too. Your very sight is the best
means of completely driving away the sins of the world. My grief will be assuaged to a great extent
by your admonition. Only then
your eye will fall on us. Then Narada
asked, Who are you? How are these two old men related to you? Who are these lotus-eyed girls standing
beside you? What is the cause of your
misery?
The girl
(DOER BRIDE) replied: I AM KNOWN AS BHAKTHI (DIVINE LOVE - BRIDE). These two are regarded as MY SONS, GNANA
(WISDOM OR REVELATION) AND VAIRAGYA (ZEALOUSNESS FOR GOD) and have become worn
out (after glorification of
IYYAH). These girls are the rivers of
living waters (BRIDE MEMBERS) in living forms serving me. Yet happiness does not come to me. Hear my story. I was born in DRAVIDA DESHAM (Tamil Nadu), attained maturity in
KARNATAKA, respected here and there in MAHARASHTRA and attained ripe age in
GUJARAT (DWAPARA YUGA). Mutilated by
unbelievers due to the arrival of the fearful KALI (SATAN) (after the
glorification of IYYAH) and continuing in the state for a long time (since
1989), I grew weak and developed sluggishness along with my TWO SONS. Reaching VRINDAVAN (RAHASYA VRINDAVAN -
HEAVENLY ZION), I have become quite young again (5th Seal). But these two sons are experiencing great
agony due to exhaustion. Now I am
proceeding to another place (Heaven).
My sons have become old. I am
afflicted with this agony. Though their
mother, why should I be YOUNG (IN GLORY) whereas my sons be old? Although we three lived together, why stands
this incongruity? Kindly tell me what
is the reason (for this that I AM GLORIFIED whereas my two sons are still in
human bodies)? Narada replied, Lord
SRIHARI (LAHARI KRISHNA) will bring you happiness; so don't give way to doubts.
Then Narada
told her: The present is the terrible age of Kali. Righteousness, Tapas, Yoga have disappeared under his
influence. In this age, righteous men
(Aadhi Bali people) remain dejected and the unrighteous (self-righteous) feel
overjoyed. That clever man alone who
maintains firmness in this age is learned and wise. Year after year this earth is gradually becoming a burden for
that ETERNAL ONE. NOBODY EVEN PERCEIVES
YOU WITH YOUR SONS AT PRESENT.
NEGLECTED BY MEN BLIND WITH LOVE FOR PLEASURES, YOU STAND FEEBLED. Due to contact with RAHASYA VRINDAVAN
(HEAVENLY ZION), YOU (BRIDE - DOER) HAVE BECOME YOUNG AND FRESH AGAIN (5TH
SEAL). But these two sons of yours are
not able to shake of their old age due to their demand in earth. Their deep slumber (spirit of delusion) here
is believed to have been brought about by the partial gratification of their
self-righteous deeds and desires.
BHAKTI
(DOER BRIDE) asked: How was KALI (SATAN) actually given an abode here?
How is all this unrighteousness too tolerated by SRIHARI (LAHARI KRISHNA)?
Narada
replied: From the day LORD SRIKRISHNA (LAHARI KRISHNA) left this earth
(24.02.1989) and ascended to Heaven, Kali (TRIBULATION) which balks all
spiritual endeavours set in.
Seen by the King Parikshit (Grandson of Arjuna - Type of sons), KALI in
a living form sought the King for protection.
The King thought in himself: He (Satan) does not deserve to be killed by
me, because, in this age, ONE fully secures by MERE CHANTING OF the names of
glory of SRIKRISHNA (LAHARI KRISHNA), the fruit which cannot be attained
through TAPAS, concentration of mind or even through deep meditation
(compromises with KALI).
....... Due
to the practice of evil deeds the substance has disappeared from everything in
the present age. Like the husk devoid
of grain or seed, all things on earth stand divested of their substance. Out of greed for food and money, the story
of the LORD (LAHARI KRISHNA) (preaching) is repeated by Brahmanas (servants of
God) in every home and to all and sundry; hence the value of the story or
preaching (IYYAH'S MESSAGES) is gone.
Even those perpetrating most cruel deeds of various kinds and
unbelieving men and savages have taken up their abode in places of pilgrimage
(ASHRAM); hence the value of the SACRED PLACE (ASHRAM) is gone. Even those whose MIND is agitated with
passion, anger, excessive greed and thirst for pleasure have outwardly taken to
an ascetic life (full time ministry), and hence its value is gone. The fruit of meditation has also
disappeared. The learned pandits for
their part indulge in sexual commerce with their wives like buffaloes. They are expert in producing children and
are not at all clever in achieving LIBERATION.
Devotion to LORD SRIKRISHNA (LAHARI KRISHNA) is nowhere to be seen. Such is the spirit of times we are living
in. That is why the lotus-eyed LORD
(LAHARI KRISHNA) tolerates all this though abiding so close to us (in glory)
... In vain do you vex yourself; why
should you be so afflicted with worry?
Think of the lotus feet of SRIKRISHNA (LAHARI KRISHNA) and your misery
will be gone. The celebrated SRIKRISHNA
(LAHARI KRISHNA) by whom DRAUPADI (DOER BRIDE) was saved from Kauravas, by whom
the pretty girls of Vraja (virgins) Gopikas were made recipients of special
favours, HAS GONE NOWHERE (IS HERE IN GLORY).
You, BHAKTHI (DOER BRIDE) as a matter of fact, are ever dearest to the
LORD (LAHARI KRISHNA) than HIS OWN LIFE.
Invoked by you indeed, the LORD (LAHARI KRISHNA) goes even to the houses
of the low. In the past three yugas, spiritual
enlightenment and dispassion were the means to achieve REDEMPTION. In Kali yuga, however, BHAKTHI (LOVE) alone
effects unity with BRAHMA (CREATOR).
Therefore the LORD (LAHARI KRISHNA) evolved YOU - BHAKTHI - LOVE, as the
embodiment of TRUTH, as a charming girl (BRIDE), THE BELOVED OF SRIKRISHNA
(LAHARI KRISHNA). Joining your palms
you once asked Him, "What shall I do"? SRIKRISHNA (LAHARI KRISHNA) then commanded you (1989), "LOOK
AFTER MY DEVOTEES". This was
accepted by you as a matter of fact and SRI HARI (LAHARI KRISHNA) felt highly
gratified at that time and conferred on you, on the said occassion, as a
maid-servant, MUKTHI (REDEMPTION), as well as these two GNANA AND VAIRAGYA as
your sons. In your real form, you look
after the devotees of VAIKUNTHA (HEAVEN) while a shadow-form (water
body) has been assumed by you to take care of the devotees on earth. Taking MUKTHI, GNANA AND VAIRAGYA with you,
you came down to the earth. From Krithayuga down to the end of Dwapara Yuga,
you stayed here with great joy.
Afflicted with the malady of false doctrines (after 1989), MUKTHI underwent
decay in Kaliyuga and under your direction she returned to Vaikuntha
soon (5th Seal). Yet even
when thought of by you, she comes to this very earth and goes back again; while
these two have been kept by your own side treating them as your sons. Through neglect of (meditation and
dedication, consecration) in Kali Yuga, both your sons become sluggish and
old. Nevertheless stop worrying. I am taxing my brain about a
remedy....... In this Age, I shall
establish you in every house and in every individual; if not I am no longer a SERVANT
OF SRI HARI (LAHARI KRISHNA). Even
though sinners, men who will be endowed with you in this AGE of KALI will
attain the ABODE OF SRIKRISHNA (LAHARI KRISHNA), VAIKUNTHA (HEAVEN), which is
free from all fear. Those souls in
whose mind constantly abides devotion in the form of love for the LORD (LAHARI
KRISHNA) do not see YAMA (DEATH) even in a dream. Neither a demon, devil, nor a fiend, nor an ogre has got power
even to touch those whose mind is enriched with Devotion (to LORD LAHARI
KRISHNA). SRI HARI (LAHARI KRISHNA) can
be won neither by means of Tapasya, nor through study of Vedas, nor through
spiritual enlightenment, nor even through righteous action. HE CAN BE WON ONLY THROUGH DEVOTION
(LOVE). GOPIKA STHREES bear testimony
for this ....... In the Age of Kali, BHAKTHI alone is SUPREME. As a result of BHAKTHI, SRIKRISHNA (LAHARI
KRISHNA) reveals Himself and stands at our very door (of the heart). Those who are hostile to BHAKTHI suffer in
all the three worlds. BHAKTHI (LOVE) ALONE IS CAPABLE OF CONFERRING REDEMPTION.
