What We
Did in Santa Monica, California -or- The Tales of the Random Pictures
FACT: I shall never grow tired of the phrase, Governor Shwarzenegger. Ever.

California was amazing. It was so much fun and I took many many pictures. I will share
some of them with you here.

We stayed in Santa Monica (“we” is essentially the same collection of relatives and friends
as in the Vegas adventure). This place is wikkid fun, especially the Third Street
Prominade. There were lots of wierd little stores. My favorites were Puzzle Zoo (a huge
toy store for kids and sci-fi fantasy geeks), Kid Robot (lots of little fun things from Japan),
and Spirit of the West (incomprehensibly amusing to somebody who lives in the
Northeast).

As you know, I live in the magical land of Big Granite Rocks. I don’t know if this one is a
fellow Quincy-ite, but anyway this is a fountain in the Getty Center. That first pisture of
the sky view of downtown was from the Getty too.
I saw a pretty good cross-section of what LA has to offer. This place is, no kidding, the
one thing you can’t miss. It’s unreal.

The guy on the left is just cranky because wierdly mutated rhinos reek of poo and also,
more importantly, nobody had figured out how to make pies and sandwiches back in his
day. The guy on the right was too tall to fit inside my head. Wow. This is the Museum
of Natural History in LA, which is a little hard to find but is well worth it. The La Brea
Tar Pits are awesome too. Heh, you shouldn’t miss these places either.

Disneyland! We went on as many rides as we could handle and had so much fun. I love
Disney World, but I think Disneyland has an edge, since it’s the original. There are also a
few crazy rides that can’t be found in Disney World either, and those are great fun. Yeah,
come to think of it this shouldn’t be missed either.

Yes, we sure did have great fun in California. And right there are three nifty places to visit
that you might not have thought about. Here come some links.
