La Grange du Moulin is located on the edge of the rural hamlet of Courgeon, and Les Vallaies on the edge of Puy de Brette, both 6 miles east of the historic town of St Jean D'Angely in the Charente Maritime department of the Poitou Charente region in South West France. We are centrally loacted  in the area, an ideal situation for visiting all the places of interest in the area. Just one hour from the Coast, Beaches and towns such as La Rochelle, Rochefort and Royan. We are also within easy travelling distance of Angouleme, Poitiers and the world famous vineyards and city of Bordeaux. Saintes with its Roman ruins and superb ampitheatre and Cognac with its world renowned distilleries are even closer.
At La Grange du Moulin there are six self catering gites. Four sleep  six in three bedrooms, one sleeps eight in four bedrooms and one sleeps four in two bedrooms.

At Les Vallaies we have four self catering gites which sleep six in three or four bedrooms and a modern villa sleeping six in three bedrooms.

Both properties have both private eating areas for each cottage and communal garden areas as well as a swimming pool on each site.

The Poitou Charente is located in south west France and is made up of four departments, one of which is the Charente Maritime which consists of no less than 450 kilometers of coastline. Between high and low seas, the long sandy beaches bordered by pine trees alternate with chalky cliffs and wild sites.
The Atlantic seaboard of the
Poitou-Charentes region is protected by four islands, of which the two largest, Olron (175 km2) and R (85 Km2) are connected to the continent by bridges. The Charente Maritime region benefits from a micro climate being far enough south to receive meditarranean style temperatures. With such world renowned towns such as Bordeaux, Cognac and La Rochelle in the area
