Sometimes called the ice princess or ice maiden, light green haired, red eyed Yukina originated from the ice country in Makai.
She met up with the rest when Yusuke was tasked to save her from a rich human who wanted to gain profit from the pearls she shed when she cries. She was tortured and locked up but she remained strong until the toguro brothers took care of the situation. The elder toguro killed a bird who had been her only companion for the past years.
Yusuke and Kuwabara, along with Botan, went to the millionaire's hiding place and saved her. Hiei came in later. The fire demon was about to kill her abductor when she intervened. Hiei conceded. It was during these episodes that her relationship with the fire demon was established. She was in search of her long-lost brother who, as it turned out, is none other than Hiei. Yukina was gentle, soft-spoken and really cute no wonder Kuwabara had almost instantly, fallen in love with her on television. She left Ningenkai right after she was freed but reappeared in the middle of the Ankoku Bujutsukai to help. She stayed with Genkai after the tournament. Just before Hiei left for Makai, Yukina gave her pearl necklace to him, telling him to give it to her brother if ever he may ran into him. The moment appeared a bit awkward for both of them. And though it wasn't clear if she found out that Hiei was actually her brother, some of her words could well be considered as proofs that she somehow discovered it. |
