He has this incredible lab he takes them to and as they are running test on their blood and other samples, he makes an incredible discovery of a brand new parasite. This parasite has been living in the bodies for the whole time and it's a completely symbiotic relationship where the parasite feeds off the dead, broken down cells but replenshes them with brand new perfect cells as if nothing had happend. Caveman and Cavewomen have no cellular damage that comes from being frozen because of these littl guys. Unfortunately, Unethical Scientist/Doctor is an idiot and doesn't realize that the parasites can't survive anything warmer than freezing so he loses them all and can't contribute to the booming cryogenics industry.
Matrix style, the scientists de-atrophy the bodies and place them on life-support, inducing comas until their bodies can recover enough for them to wake up. And they separate them. The cavepeople wake up and are kept seperate for a couple of weeks until he smells her or something equally sappy and knows she's alive. He manages to find her and Unethical Scientist Evil Dude (hereto known as: USED) tries separating them again, a la Interview with the Vampire style when Louis (is it Louis or Madeleine?) and Claudia are torn apart by Armand before Claudia is killed.
But, Used is convinced to allow them to be together for anthropological study by some girl who works for him. Now, they're studied. Caveman thinks they were captured by the enemy and doesn't realize time has passed, neither does she.
Through the studying, it is discovered that the reason she has never had children is because he has slow swimmers. Doesn't mean they can't, just that it's more difficult. Also, they notice the odd way he eats everything before her, and etc....
One day, Cavewoman is attacked by a mental scientist who can't control himself and of course Caveman beats him nearly to death. See, another parallel to original story. Just to show how evil Used is, Used has the crazy scientist taken out and killed.
After several months of studying them on their own, Used wants to know if they're trainable and sends in the girl and a guy to teach them the ways of the new world, like shaving and dressing and stuff. The more time the scientists spend with them, the guiltier they both feel until one day, it becomes apparent that Cavewoman is pregnant. The Scientists decide to help free them because they can fit in society without anyone being the wiser and are sucsessful in helping them escape and helping them live in the real world. And the two scientists also fall in love. I think. Haven't rightly decided yet.
