| What Is The Goddess To You
To me she is many things. From my childhood on, there have been so many influences that were directly from a Godess nature, where do I begin. When I was a little girl, my grandmother in Alabama, used to take me for walks in the woods, and show me different plants, and trees, and vines, growing deep in the belly of the forest, and she would talk of the ways the earth gives us many healing things. She was part french, and part cherokee, and believed in nature healing....She always said "mother earth", to me,about many things. This is where much of my gifts began to manifest themselves, and I so truly wish I had, even as a very little girl, had paid closer attention to what she was saying to me. I sometimes fall asleep, and remenber the walks, and the conversations we had.. The goddess to me is a provider. We just have to be still to see the things around us, that is there and available to us. The Goddess to me is a cleansing power of forgiveness. She teaches us to love ourselves, and to be forgiving of ourselves for not being the perfect people others expect of us.. The Goddess to me is the sunshine, and the rain. Both refreshing, and pure... The Goddess to me is the strong and confident feeling I have inside, that "just knowing", in my spirit, that I am on the right track for my life.... and it only took 53 years to get here... I am go greatful for the women she sent to my life, to show me how to find the courage within myself to move forward in my life, and not be afraid..... I am finally able to really live "One day at a time," and not worry so far ahead........
