WINIFRED JONES married JOHN ELWELL
in St. Charles R.C. Church,  Sheffield
JOHN & WINIFRED ELWELL were my great grandparents.
They were living in MORTON , DERBYSHIRE in 1881.
They moved then to ATTERCLIFFE, SHEFFIELD, YORKSHIRE and then to
  GOLDTHORPE  in the DEARNE VALLEY of YORKSHIRE in 1895
and after  living at  121 Doncaster Road, they moved to Rose Cottage, 29 Lockwood Road, Goldthorpe
where they brought up three sons and three  daughters and died there.
Their children were:- DAVID, MARY, WILLIAM, ANNIE, SAMUEL and WINIFRED
David married May and became a policeman in Sheffield City Police,they had at least two children
namely David and Maisie.
Mary married John Friel and had a farm on Station Road, Bolton-upon-Dearne. Yorkshire.
John was gored to death by a bull.    They had two children:- Winifred who married Tom Kearns and had a son called Andrew and John who was a senior nurse in Storrs Hall Mental Institution
near Huddersfield.  John married Hilda and they had two children, John and Catherine.
William married a Miss Elliott of Goldthorpe and had two daughters Winifred and Ginnie.
Annie married Joseph Wilson and lived at 11, Lockwood Road, Goldthorpe.
Winifred married John Stacey and had a daughter Joan and a son called Boyd.
Boyd died young.  Joan married Harry Kelso and had two children - Andrew and Simon.
Samuel, my grandfather married Mary Elizabeth Clarke and had four sons and a daughter.
They were my father Joseph Eric Elwell, Jack, David, Phillip, and Evelyn.

DAVID WAS AGED 22 AND SARAH 19 YEARS.
    WITNESSES AT THE WEDDING WERE  ANN AND JOHN COX.
    DAVID'S OCCUPATION WAS COAL MINER  AND HIS FATHER WAS NAMED AS MOSES JONES COAL MINER OF CINDERHILL.
THE ADDRESS GIVEN FOR SARAH WAS BILSTON STREET, SEDGLEY
AND HER FATHER WAS NAMED AS JOHN SIMNER OCCUPATION COLLIERY LABOURER.  (Information taken from marriage certificate)
