Amulets

Beyond the Rim

This was my first original bead design (also the
first bag I made), born out of five bags of
irridescent Delicas (the first I found/bought),
and my passion for Babylon 5.
The graphic design continues into the fringe.
Delicas, bugles & 6s; brick stitch

Knot Simply Beaded

Love all things Celtic, especially the
intricate knotwork. My design is not so
very complex, but it is one continuous line.
There is a double-row of fringe. This pattern
will be available at Bead-Patterns.com soon.
11s &/or 15s seed beads; brick stitch

Honey, Leave Off the Fringe!

(Think Hallmark's Maxine here, folks!)
This was made for a bead course; it had to be
flat peyote, other than that there were no
specifics. The honeycomb pattern could be from
a book by Black Giraffe Designs; not sure.
I don't like to do fringe, so Imade a narrow
strap of flat peyote on each side of the bag's
opening, and added some "leaves."
Delicas, Czech glass; flat peyote

Shore Shell Pouch

This is Mary Klotz's (Forestheart Studio,
Woodsboro, Maryland) Shore Shell pouch.
It is complete except for the fringe --
I told you I don't like to do fringe!
Kits are available from Forestheart Studio
(photo of finished pouch is there as well).
11s, 8s, bugles, natural shells; tubular peyote

Thimble Pocket

This 'treasure pouch' is 'simply looping'
(single Brussels stitch to lacemakers, buttonhole
stitch to needleworkers), from a project published
in the Jan/Feb 1994 Piecework magazine.
I keep my Sterling Thistle thimble inside.

8s, Caron's Waterolor thread (cotton overdye)
