Visit the 46th Street Guild, an awesome online store!  I have found such cool stuff there... for instance, type "celtic" in the search field and it will bring up celtic stuff in every category, from music to jewelry... I even found some celtic instruments, like bodhrans and harps!

You are the
Well hello!  Since you're here, you're either lost (a dangerous thing to be in Sherwood) or you've come to pay homage to Michael!  Let's hope it's the latter.  Well, I'll not presume to say that my little site here is the best the web has to offer, not by a long shot (pun intended).  I merely hope to direct you to some worthy sites.
(Sword a reasonable facsimile of Albion, Robin's sword, "charged with the power of light and darkness.")
Well, I suppose I ought to explain a few things here.  You see, When I was little, I LOVED Robin of Sherwood (where both Michael photos above were taken from, consequently).  As I got older, however, I moved on to other things.... or so I thought.

I recently re-discovered Robin of Sherwood (and Michael Praed), and on a whim decided to search the web for Michael Praed/Robin of Sherwood sites.  I expected to find a few.

I found scores of them!  It was astounding!  I think it's wonderful that this show (which has been off the air since 1985) still has such a loyal following!  The "Robin of Sherwood Webring" is a wonderful directory to any site within the Realm of Sherwood Forest.  Many beautiful sites there.

The "Albion" page listed is chock-full of gorgeous Michael photos.

And now...

Michael was quite young when he played Robin in Robin of Sherwood (which aired in the states simply as Robin Hood).  However, in my humble opinion, he turned out quite a fine performance.  He did the show for two of the three seasons it ran, but left (quite dramatically) before the third season.  The last episode of the second season features his noble death- though it may be more accurate to say his martyrdom...

He is shot by about a dozen of the Sheriff's men (but you don't see it!  They thankfully spared us that.  All you see are the soldiers firing their arrows), in order to save Marion and Much (his simple [half-wit, as some call him] foster brother).  "Nothing's forgotten.  Nothing is ever forgotten."

Michael was replaced by Jason Connery (yes, Sean's son), but I must say, I prefer Michael's Robin.  However, one thing I do greatly respect the creators for, is that they did not simply pretend nothing had happened when all of a sudden Robin went from dark to blond.   Instead a new person (Robert of Huntington) was recruited by Herne the Hunter (Robin's mentor) to take Robin's place.  "Herne: 'what brought you to the forest today?' Robert: 'I don't know.  There was a voice.' Herne: 'And what did this voice say? Tell me.' Robert:'It said...' Robin's voice: 'Nothing's forgotten.  Nothing is ever forgotten.' "

But there are far better resources than I on this subject, and all can be found at the webring.  There are episode guides, sites for all the major characters (including a disturbingly high number devoted to Guy of Gisburne!  Eww!), and just about anything else you could ever hope for.

Well, good hunting!
