You Cannot Knowİ
You cannot know what freedom means
Till you have lived inside a cage.
Till you have walked among the prisoners
And felt their sorrow and their rage.

You cannot know what confinement means
Till you have lived inside a cell,
Sharing heartache with fellow convicts
And lived the stories that they tell.

You cannot know about dying
Till you life's been taken away
And you no longer have a life to live
Yet you walk and breathe each day.

You cannot know what heartache means
Till you have lost all that you loved
When there's nothing left but memories
Of what you had thought was a gift from above.

You cannot know what loneliness means
Till you have faced the life I live
And there's no one there to comfort you
After you gave all -- that you could give.

You cannot know what sadness means
Or how little people care
Till you have given someone your everything
Then when you need them -- they're not there.

You cannot know the value of life
Till your life -- you have lost.
For it's only after dying
That you know how much life cost.

But I would gladly relive my life again.
Relive all the heartache--and tears I've cried.
Just to relive those few short meoments
When Chelle was by my side.
