Family
Poems
Growing up in a family of five children, Ariel is the eldest daughter but has three older brothers.   She has survived a childhood that included physical, mental and sexual abuse.  Unfortunately, as we know she is not the only one to have had this type of childhood.   Writing  poetry was her saving grace.

"
The poems come to me and I must quickly write them down before they fade. I am not the creator but the conduit. And many times what I wrote was what I needed somone to tell me, a truth that needed to be acknowledged. "

Her greatest challenge has been, and continues to be, trying to survive the warped lessons of this family.

And to create a better one for her children and the future.

Ariel sincerely hopes that her poems help other survivors by resonating the pain and hypocrisay they live with. The most importatnt lesson is to know that you are so much more than what others try to make you.
