Manhattan

Manhattan

This city is the headquarters of the Trinity government. Any of the seven main characters can visit Manhattan, but it is of no use unless you're playing at T260G or you want the items from the shop at the Shopping Mall. You start out by arriving at the Port and walking out through the door. Upon arriving in Manhattan, you'll notice that there's three different areas you can explore. If you're not T260G, your best bet is to head over to the Shopping Mall.

Upon arriving at the Shopping Mall, you'll notice a few people wandering around. Talking to them does nothing because they contain no real information. If you walk over to the Restraunt on the bottom floor, you'll notice three people...well, two people and one Mec. One person is the restaurant waitress, who greets you as soon as you come through the door. The Mec, which you will find out his true identity playing as T260G, will only greet you if you try to talk to him. The other person, a human police officer named Fuse, will be reclining at a table. If you're not on the quest for Arcane magic, he will get an attitude with you and tell you his break is only ten minutes long.

If you wander over to the Shop on the top floor, the shopkeeper will follow you until she tells you want they sell. Her wares include bracelets and rings in the form of accessories that can boost your resistance to certain battle statuses. If you're not T260G, this is the best place to come in Manhattan. Grabbing these items early on will alleviate a lot of headaches later.

The Central Gate the front of Trinity's base that's guarded by two soliders. If you're not T260G, no matter how many times you ask, they will turn you away, telling you the Gate is off-limits to civilians. A similar situation happens if you enter the C.T.C. Building. If you're not T260G, the receptionist will greet you, but guards stand at all the doors and elevators. If you're playing as T260G, you can get past this area if you find out the true identity of the Mech in the restaurant.

Shrike

Shrike

This region is famous for two things: Mu's Tomb and Sei's Tomb. They are two kings that were buried in opposite tombs. You can read about their lives and history if you go to the Street. While there, you can restore the HP, WP, LP, and JP of your party. Don't mind the kids playing near the street. If you're not playing as Red, talking to them will do nothing. Same thing goes for talking to the guy and the girl near the crashed car. If you go into the Bookstore, there's three books you can look at to read about the history of Shrike and the tombs of King Sei and King Mu.

If you're on the Rune magic quest, head over to King Mu's Tomb. This is where the Victory Rune can be found and, if he's not in your party already, you can recruit Roufas here. Make your way all the way into the heart of the tomb to battle a fierce skeleton boss. If you win, your reward is the Victory rune.

If you're just curious and want a good fight, head over to King Sei's tomb. This area isn't required for anything, but doing it gives good experience. Wander around in King Sei's tomb to find the three treasures hidden here. Bring them back to the main room and place them in the appropriate places and you'll gain access to a secret room. Once in, you'll see a coffin. You have the choice of turning back, or you can go up to the tomb. King Sei will sit up and fight you for trying to rob him. Beware, he doesn't fight alone. If you win, you get a choice of recruiting King Sei himself or taking his sword, the ultra-strong Kusasangi.

Nakajima Robotics houses...you guessed it, Mecs. If you're playing as T260G, you can recruit two Mecs here. Otherwise, anyone else can only recruit one. You can also buy important items for your Mec as well as strong guns for your party. You can also sell back certain items.

It doesn't matter if you have Fuse in your party or not, going into the Bio Research Lab is fun experience for your party. If you have Fuse in your party, you have the opportunity to rescue his party, which happens to be a Monster. If not, you can wander around to fight for experience. If your party's really strong, dare to go all the way to the bottom floor of the lab. If you look around enough, you'll find another room where horrible experiments were going on. You'll be given the chance to fight one of the hardest mid-bosses in the entire game. Beware, it's a giant dinosaur with a missile strapped to its back and it has a devastating Quake attack. Did I mention that he throws a large iron ball? He's not fair at all because he can hit you up to five times before it's your turn to hit him. Proceed into this battle with extreme caution.

Luminous

Shrike

Luminious is a must for people that are training their parties to master magic. It's also a must if you're playing as Blue. You have two choices of magic to obtain here: Light or Shadow. Since you cannot possess both, you must choose one. I highly recommend Light magic since it's more versatile and stronger.

If you're playing as Blue or have Blue in your party, the man standing in the Port, Rouge, will disappear. If you don't have Blue in your party, you can recruit Rouge. Rouge is Blue's twin brother.

If you choose Light magic, proceed north into the House of Illumination. Here, the shopkeeper will tell you all about Light magic and you can purchase a few spells here. He will tell you the way to obtain the gift of Light magic is to survive the Luminous Labyrinth. The Luminous Labyrinth is to the left. Talk to the man there and he will send you there. All you have to do is find your way out of the maze and you have the gift of Light magic. Simple, no?

If you choose Shadow magic, proceed to the right and you will talk to the old woman with her back to you. She will tell you about Shadow magic. You can also buy some Shadow spells from her. In order to obtain Shadow magic, you must travel to Omble and find your way out of that maze. As soon as you do, you'll have the gift of Shadow magic. You'll also have the opportunity to recruit someone here.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom

If you're playing as Blue, you cannot come to the Magic Kingdom until later on in his quest. If you're playing as Rouge, he will leave your party before you come here. The Magic Kingdom houses all the prominent magicians. If you go to the shop, you can buy various items that will help you along your quest. You can also learn about the different magics and their opposites. You can also learn about Realm Magic here, as well as buying a few spells.

If you make your way over to the church, you'll find a bunch of people studying and concentrating. They prefer not to be disturbed.

If you head to Furdo's Workshop to the left, you'll find that something's wrong here. All the enemies have been turned to stone. If you take the time to wander through here, you'll come a room with what looks like growing strands of rope coming from the ceiling to the floor. Touch it and the fairies above you will begin to move and release the enemies one by one. Again, these enemies are not weak at all. Proceed with caution, especially if you encounter the bigger enemies. They're that big for a reason.

Kyo

Kyo

Kyo is easily the most beautiful region. In the middle, you can wander through a Japanese garden (it's very realistic, too!). You can also go to the gift shop and buy various amulets that will raise your stats. The coins can either raise your attack points are damage all the enemies.

While here, head over to the Doujou if you don't already have Realm magic. Once inside, you'll see a woman sitting on the floor at a table. Talk to her and she'll tell you all about Mind magic. You can also buy a few Mind magic spells from her. If you want the gift of Mind magic, she'll tell you to go into a room and concentrate. As you stand there looking stupid, each member in your party will have to fight an enemy one-on-one. For each party member that defeats the enemy, they will gain the gift of Mind magic. If you lose, you cannot go through again. Getting the gift of Mind magic is a one-shot deal. My recommendation is to level up and gain skills before you get this magic.

If you head over to Syoin, you'll notice that it looks like you're standing in a big empty room...or so it seems. If you're playing as Red, you'll be able to access a hidden entryway underneath the floor to another area. Otherwise, you can run around in here and waste time.

Yorkland

Yorkland

Yorkland is the home of Lute. If you're on the quest for the Grail Card, you've come to the right place. As soon as you land in Yorkland, head south the liquor distilleries. While there, you have to go from one building to the next, asking about the Grail card as well as tasting the liquor. Once you've had enough liquor, the last person will tell you to go to the Liquior Shrine. Go back north and head west this time. You'll come to a swamp with lots of enemies there. Problem is, you can't walk straight because you're drunk! You have to fight enemies like that, too, so it can be a real pain. Once you make it to the shrine, grab the Grail card and get out of there.

Once you're done with that, head back to the crossroad and head east this time. Here is where you'll come a town with a horse standing in the middle of the road as well as a bunch of children playing. You can talk to them if you want. walk around and head west. If you're playing as Lute, he won't be able to stay here because his mother kicked him out. Otherwise, this area isn't important as well. If you go back out to the town, you'll see a Monster standing on the cliff. That's Lute's brother (human and Monster, yes, I know, it doesn't make sense). You can recruit him if you want.

Devin

Devin

Devin is the place to be for parties looking to master magic. Arcane and Rune magic are available here, but you must choose one.

To acquire Arcane magic, go to the tent closest to the left corner. There you will talk to an old man who will tell you all about Arcane magic. You can also buy a few Archane spells from him. If you decide to go on the quest for Arcane magic, he will give you four items and tell you to go to four different places to acquire the Arcane cards. The Shield Card is found in IRPO (Fuse will join your party so you can get it), the Gold Card in Baccarat (find your way to the Gnomes secret layer and bring them gold), the Grail Card in Yorkland (you must taste all the liquor in every distillery before you're allowed to go to the Liquor Shrine), and the Saber Card in Wakatu. You cannot get to Wataku without having someone in your party that's from there. If you can find Gen, he'll take you to Wakatu.

Also, while you're here, go up the long flight of stairs to the shrine. Talk to the girl there and ask her about two kinds of magic, Space and Time. If you're strong enough, she'll send you to Kylin's Paradise. Depending on how strong you are, you will either fight Kylin (once you find him) or buy Space magic from him. If you'll looking for Time magic, the girl will tell you to speak to the Ring Lord in Mosperiburg.

Koorong

Koorong

Koorong is a region that you'll be visiting often because there's so many items that you'll need for your quests here. As soon as you come out of the port, you'll notice the gold exchange. Gold is only necessary for two things: trading/selling and for the Gnomes in Baccarat. The stand right next to it has all the Cures (restores HP) and Magi-Waters (restores JP) you'll need. You can find some status-curing items here as well. Other than that, head downstairs.

Once you get downstairs, go through the first door and you can restore your party's HP, WP, LP, and JP here. Right next to it is a hidden room, the one the chicken is standing in front of. This room is no use to anyone except Emelia and T260G. Go back outside and you can buy leather and fur as well as shoes for your party. You can actually go out to one part of the alleys by keeping straight. For now, go upstairs.

Once you get upstairs, if you're playing as Emelia, you can go into the restaurant. If you're anyone else, either Roufas or Liza will greet you and tell you to stay away from the door behind them. Go outside and talk to Annie and she'll tell you to stay back (paranoid, aren't we?). At one of the stands, you can buy hats for your party. At the stand closest to the alley (to the left), you can buy various armors at "army discount prices" (or so she says...). Go down the manhole and you can buy guns and swords from the two Mecs down there.

If you're on the quest for Rune magic, go back upstairs and exit left to the alleys. Find your way through the alleys into the Natural Caves. Make your way through there to fight an insect boss. Once you defeat it, you'll receive the Hide Rune.

IRPO

IRPO

If you're on the quest for Arcane magic, come here to ask the receptionist about the Shield Card. She will direct you to conference room. Fuse will come in and tell you that you most go to Mosperiburg and he will take you.

Mosperiburg

Mosperiburg

If you're on Riki's quest and you've obtained all the rings, you will have to fight the Ring Lord. If you're here to ask about Time Magic, if you're strong enough, the Ring Lord will send you to the Time Lord's region. Once there, you'll notice something wrong immediately. Everything is frozen in time. Make your way to the giant hourglass and you'll notice it's broken. Go back to the Ring Lord and he'll tell you that Gozarus in Facinaturu sells the SandVessel that you'll need to fix the hourglass. If you want, he'll send you there. Once you get it, come back and the Ring Lord will send you back to the Time Lord's region again. Depending on how strong you are, you will either have to fight TimeLord (one of the hardest battles) or you can buy some Time magic from him.

Facinaturu

Facinaturu

If you're playing as Asellus, you'll start out here, but not in this town. If you're playing as anyone else looking for Time magic, this is the place to be. While you're here, you can enter the magic shop that will teach you about Mystic magic. Because Mystics (and Asellus) are the only ones that can use Mystic magic, you're left to purchasing a few spells.

While you're here, visit Gozarus's shop to find the SandVessel tool to fix the broken hourglass in the Time Lord's region. He also sells a very nice, strong sword here called the Asura. I highly recommend getting it. However, I should warn you...you can't buy the items Gozarus sells for money. He only takes LP (Life Points). Once you give up your LP, that's it. There's no getting it back. So, be very careful of how you spend your LP here.

When you're done with this gloomy town, make your way to the restaurant/bar and talk to the man sitting there. He'll tell you he can get you out of Facinaturu and to meet him downstairs. Go downstairs and talk to the slime Monster there. He'll open the secret passage for you. Run through there fighting enemies until you make your way to the man's ship. He'll fly you back to Koorong.

Scrap

Scrap

Scrap is an industrial town controlled by the Caballero family. They're not very nice people at all. If you're playing as anyone except Riki or T260G and you try to go to their Office, you will be kicked out. The same thing goes if you try to enter their Factory.

If you visit the Pub, you'll notice this is where all the lovely citizens of Scrap come to hang out after a long hard day working. The Pub is also a place to recruit some characters for your party. Lute, the guy hanging out in the corner by himself will join you without any problems. He needs something to do anyway. Riki and Mei-Ling will join you as well because they feel you're not a scary person. T260G will join you so he can finish his own quest. Gen is a hard one. If you're on the quest for Arcane magic, he will join you because he'll be the one to take you to Wakatu. He's the only living survivor and plus, he can use poles like swords. If you're playing as Riki or T260G, Gen will join you without you needing to go to Wakatu.

If you go out into the town, you'll notice a lovely, quaint inn where you can restore your party's HP, LP, WP, and JP.

There's also a Junk Shop here, which is good for when you're first starting out. Pay owners 1000 credits and you can root through their junk for three items. Sometimes you get good stuff, sometimes you don't. You can also sell back some of the higher-end guns here.

Owmi

Owmi

Owmi is a peaceful port town that's good for relaxing. If you need to, you can make a pit stop at the inn to restore your party's HP, LP, WP, and JP. Once you're done here, you can visit the restaurant to talk to the locals. If you're playing as Lute, you'll meet Captain Hamilton here who will volunteer to help you on your quest. If you're playing as anyone else, the restaurant is more of a social place rather than anything important.

Make your way over to the Lord Manor behind the town. If you're playing as Asellus, you can find the Water Mystic (aka mermaid), Mesarthim, here. Once you find her, the owner of the Manor doesn't want you to take her away because he claims to love her so much. Make your way to the basement through a trapdoor and you can fight various enemies here. There's even the giant squid here that blocks your progress. Fight him and you can access the rest of the basement.

Nelson

Nelson

Nelson is sleepy port town where few people hang out. It also serves as the base for Captain Hamilton's team. If you're playing as Lute, you'll come here many times before you beat the game. If you come here as anyone else, you'll quickly notice that there isn't much to do here.

Make your way over to the bar and you'll notice strange creatures playing instruments as well as strange people dancing. The guy at the pinball machine is only concerned that the game is cheating him. The few individuals left talk about how the dancers are really good. Talk to the guy that's standing at the right of the door. He's a gold trader. Trade your gold here that you got from Koorong or buy some more.

Head over to the only other place you can access, which is the Shop. Here, it may not look like much, but they sell armors and shields that you'll need for your quest.

Baccarat

Baccarat

Baccarat is the richest region around. It's all due to the fact that the Gnomes own the biggest casino/hotel building around. If you're on the quest for Arcane magic, you come here to find the Gold Card.

Once you land in Baccarat, you'll quickly notice how expensive everything looks. It's because the Gnomes have built the best casino around. It draws citizens from other regions to come here and lose most of their money. There's several floors of casino games here as well as a bar. You can also recruit Emelia (the girl dressed as a rabbit) here. She's also looking for the Gnomes.

Take the elevator to the parking lot and you'll notice that a manhole is open. Attempt to go down it and Emelia will come running up asking you to let her join. My advise is to let her. Once you climb down, you'll notice that you're in the basement with many enemies. Fight them and wander around until you find the Gnomes. Bring them some gold and they'll let you have the Gold Card.

It should be noted the Baccarat has neverending hotel rooms. There is no bottom that I've found.

Shingrow

Shingrow

Shingrow is a very hot region known for it's Ruins, one on the left and one on the right. If you have Fuse in your party, there will be a woman named Doll standing in the Port that you can recruit.

Make your way to the Shingrow Palace. If you're playing as anyone other than Emelia or Red, you won't be able to take part in the martial arts contest being held there. All you can do is wander around and find a few items. If you are playing as Emelia or Red, you can take part in the martial arts contest. If you win, that's a good thing. If not, you can still wander around the Palace. In Emelia's case, she will see the mysterious Joke walking around the Palace and follow him. In Red's case, he will see the murder BlackX walking around and follow him.

Make your way over to either Ruins and use this as your grounds for leveling up your characters. If you're playing as T260G, you can gain valuable information here as there is lost technology buried there.

Tanzer

Tanzer is actually the belly of a monster that lives in the space between regions swallowing up ships. If you're on the quest for Rune magic, if you attempt to travel from anywhere to Koorong, Tanzer will swallow your ship. Once there, you and the passengers will be harassed by Nomad's (big crime boss) minions. Nomad will finally show her face to stop them from harassing you and the passengers and will ask you to join her. Before you can make up your mind, Fei-On will show up and tell you who Nomad really is. If you want to live, follow Fei-On.

After traveling for awhile through Tanzer, Fei-On will lead you to his small camp. Talk to him and he will tell you where you can find the Vitality Rune. You can rest in his tent to restore your party's HP, LP, WP, and JP. Follow him out into the depths of Tanzer's being. Be careful and follow Fei-On closely. It's very easy to get lost here because everything looks normal. There's very places that you can get sucked into if you stand to close to them.

After awhile, Fei-On will lead you to what looks like a bunch of slimy slides. After you pick the right, Fei-On will tell you that the Vitality Rune is up ahead. Once you fight and beat the three slimes guarding it, Tanzer will start to shake. As you're leaving, a smaller Slime joins your party. Fei-On officially joins your party. Tanzer will end up spitting out your ship and you'll return to Koorong.

Wakatu

Wakatu is a deserted and destroyed filled with the ghosts of the people that Trinity murdered years before. In order to get to this region, the port attendants will tell you that you need one person in your party from there that can safely guide you there. The only living survivor of Wakatu is Gen, but in order to get to Wakatu, you have to be on the quest for Arcane magic. You will learn about Gen from a skeleton walking around claiming that he's seen a guy cut through stuff with a pipe. He will describe Gen to you.

Go to Scrap and enter the bar to recruit Gen. At first he will act like he doesn't know what you're talking about, but after some persistence, he will join you. Take him back to Koorong and talk to the port attendants. They will give you the same song and dance about not letting you go unless you know someone from there. Gen will speak up and say he's from there and they'll let you go.

Once you arrive in Wakatu, you'll notice how eerie it is. You must be taken from the port by boat over to the destroyed town. Once there, you'll notice ghosts flying around and lots of enemies. Gen will tell you to follow him. Follow him closely because if you get lost here, it's hard to find your way back.

After following Gen for sometime, you'll run into a collapsed building with no way in. Gen will tell you there's another way in. Follow him. Once you make your way into the destroyed house and up to the top room, Gen will tell you that this is where the Saber Card is. You must listen to the rhythm and watch the shapes. Press the button to get all three Sabers together. If you get all monsters together, you have to fight. You must do this until you get all three Sabers. After that, you will receive the Saber Card and you can go back to the safety of Koorong.
