deal.
3 Colours Red have signed a singles deal with Mighty
Atom to release 'Repeat 2 Fade' b/w 'Vitriol' and 'Shopping Trolley Children'
on May 12. More tour dates will be announced soon to coincide with the
release.

Metallica announce new Bassist
Ex Suicidal Tendencies/Ozzy Ozbourne bassist Robert
Trujillo has joined forces with Metallica. The rock legends have been without a
permanent replacement since the departure of long term bassist Jason Newsted 2
years ago.

The future of Vex Red has been placed in doubt after the
departure of vocalist Terry Abott, who is to concentrate on other projects. The
band's future was previously questioned after being dropped from their
label.

Fear Factory chasing new deal
Metal legends Fear Factory, minus Dino, are looking for a
record deal after recording a 4 track demo. After a split in 2001 and
Roadrunner, it's surely only a matter of time before a long awaited return to
the UK.

Deconstruction 2003 News
Bands lined up for this years Deconstruction
festival include NOFX, Boy Sets Fire, Bouncing Souls, Real McKenzies and
Fabulous Disaster. Although no UK date has been announced, the tour is expected
to drop by in the Midlands and London.

Pitchshifter Split
Techno-metal Pitchshifter are to split after their upcoming UK tour.
The split is said to have come to a natural end, with no rifts
necessary.

Rancid in the studio
California bay punk legends Rancid, are working on their 6th studio
album, with a release date being penned in for June 2003. The record is to be
produced by Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz and is the bands first album since
the critically acclaimed self title release in 2000. Gurewitz has said ",The
new stuff is completely amazing. The songs and energy from the band in the
studio have completely blown me away."
