Yep, it's all about me...

and who am I then, after all? Well I guess that question could be answered in a lot of different ways... so instead of just putting a few biographical paragraphs here, I decided to get creative and make this page a kind of a collage of who I am and what I like... Be warned it's pretty graphics-heavy unfortunately, but worth the wait i think... i hope anyway!

My first love - dragons.

I think this description fits my personality pretty well, it's also a very fun online quiz to take if you're into all things dragoney :)

~*~*~

As the mighty Blades of old, your Dragon color is... COPPER

A COPPER Dragon Lies Beneath!

I took the Inner Dragon online quiz and found out I am a Copper Dragon on the inside. My Inner Dragon is the mighty warrior of dragon-kind. It's just that simple. Coppers show up when someone's about to die. Usually they just go ahead and take out his best friends too, just so he won't be lonely in the afterlife. Coppers don't mess around, and they don't play evil games like Red Dragons. They don't bother with magic, like Gold Dragons. They don't run and hide like White Dragons. They're there to do a job, and they do it well.

But what sort of a dragon would I be if that really was the whole story? I also like to stomp my enemies, start the occasional war, and spend lazy hours preening my battle aura. My favorable attributes are strength, physical abilities, thriftiness, warmth, and longevity in battle. Just in case some puny human (or coniving Red Dragon) thinks they can get the drop on me, I've got a concealed breath weapon - gigantic masses of Fire. Hey, it's the tried and true way to cook a cow in 0.75 seconds.

So yeah, I like dragons...can you tell by how they're scattered all across this website? *G* Mostly though I know about the Pernese kind, from Anne McCaffrey's The Dragonriders of Pern novels. In the past I was very active in Pern fandom online, although I have pretty much backed out of that scene now due to time constraints. Now I'm just a wandering dragon-nut... *wink*

And according to yet another online quizie-thing, if I were a Greek Goddess, I would be...

Sign language is another passion of mine.

Currently I am in an interpreter training program and it keeps me more than a little busy but I really do love it for all my frequent griping at 3am when there's unfinished homework due the next day.

My hope is to someday become a fully-fledged sign language interpreter, but even if I never acheive that goal I don't think I could ever drop out of the "Deaf world" - I love the language and I have met some very cool people too. :)

Hmmm...what else about me? I'm 26, love animals, used to ride horses a lot but not so much anymore, mostly just no time... ummmm I like folk music and fiddling around with the guitar and a few other assorted instruments - I would say 'play' them but that would indicate that I actually could get music or something like it out of them...hehehe. As long as no-one's around to hear me though I have lots of fun.

I also frequent a few Delphi forums under the handle "gloworm", or just glow - above are two custom siggys that different people made for me... both were gifts and still give me a very happy warm fuzzy feeling inside :) aren't they pretty??

Okay, well I never said everything here would be nice... We all have our issues, this is mine. It's not something I'm proud of, but it's a part of me nonetheless. There's a lot I could say about this subject but here are a few links to places on the web with far more well-researched and eloquently stated information than I could ever provide. Most of them are good resources for those who self-injure as well as those seeking to understand more about self harm. If you are one of the many people out there who use self-injury as a coping method, my wish for you is to heal from the inside out. I don't pretend to know your pain, but I pray that one day you will rise above it and realize that there's a very special person inside of you who doesn't deserve to be hurt any longer. Walk in peace, walk in beauty, and know that you are not alone.
