The Rules

I don't have many rules, but there should at least be some basic principles, so if can't even follow them, you won't be added to the nominations at all. So, here they are. And don't worry, they're not ogre-y! :)

++ Your fic should be situated in the Buffyverse, with featured characters from one or both shows. Duh.

++ No offensive, discriminating or bashing material will be accepted.

++ Please, make sure you have a plot. NC-17 is allowed but make sure it's not just smut and no storyline.

++ Fics have to be at least 100 words long. Long fics are great but try to keep them below 100 pages or so (as much as we like to read fics, we all have busy lives!).

++ You can have made-up characters in your fic, there's no rule against made-ups or crossovers to other shows, but working with canon characters will increase your chances of winning.

++ Make sure your fic is finished and doesn't have too many spelling mistakes.

++ If your fic is published online, you can put down the link. Make sure you link directly to your fics, because I'm not going to surf your entire site looking for it. If you don't have it published, state this in the comments box and click here to email me your fic.

++ Be clear when stating your category and rating. We won't even read fics that don't have a rating or category. If you're unsure about which category to pick, go here for more information. If possible, you can also put down your main characters and pairings in the comments box.

++ You can nominate several of your own or other people's fics, but only one in each category.

++ There have to be at least two nominations for a category to be included in the upcoming round. If you're the only nominee, your fic will be transferred to the next round (if that's the case, you'll receive an email).

++ You don't have to put up a link to this site or anything like that, but it is appreciated.

++ We email the winners after each round, as well as the fics that might be transferred to the next round. If you don't get an email, you didn't win, but that shouldn't stop you from trying again in the next round!

++ People who have entered in previous rounds or plan to do so in the future, can be judges if they want, but not for the categories in which they've entered. Duh.

++ The judges have the right to disqualify fics and to adjust the rules if the situation calls for it.

There, that's it. Shouldn't be a problem, should it? So, if you agree with these basic rules, go on and enter the Kyerumption Awards!
