MISSION OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA
1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including
Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in
collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the
National Concil of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. ;
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness"
among children
;5. Focus on learning instead of teaching to ensure all round development of the child;
6. Creating an environment for development of life skills in the child, to be successful in career and life;
7. Integrating Information and Communicative Technology in the teaching learning process;
8. Organization of games and Co-curricular activities along with academic activities for the promotion of new
talent and ;
9. Enabling the child to become a productive and contributing member of the society.
