Say You Need Me By: kuroneko89 Rating: PG13 – R (This will be the beginning…the explanation…the motive…) Status: Un-betaed. ~*~*~*~*~ Chapter
6: Interference ~*~*~*~*~ Harry
was walking down the corridors that led him to the Great Hall for a quick
breakfast before going to the dungeons for Snape’s Double Potions lesson with
unutterable unease as he felt eyes prying on his back. Ever since the confusing
Halloween Dance that made him felt a little different towards his mortal enemy,
many people, girls and boys, had been sending Harry lusty looks, making the
Gryffindor Seeker think that dressing like that was such a bad idea. A
quick look to the right would tell him that some, in fact quite a number of
girls staring at Dong Eun as well (though not as much as those who stared at
Harry), and found that the Asian was not bothered at all. And another quick look
around would tell Harry that as many girls and boys were also sending the blonde
Ice Prince of Slytherin that very lusty looks, and Dra-Malfoy was not bothered
as well; in fact, the silver-eyed boy seemed to love the attention. Harry shook
his head. Malfoy could be very prissy sometimes. The
Boy Who Lived stood up and waved at his best friend Ron and the Asian
Gryffindor. As he went out of the Hall with Hermione, he could once again feel
the looks given to him and shivered uncomfortably. It was not like he was scared
of them; Harry was not used to get that look from anyone for most of his life
– all the Dursleys gave him was the ‘it’s better if you’re dead’ look. The
emerald-eyed boy was feeling so uncomfortable he missed that one brief lusty
look was actually given towards him from a certain Platinum blonde-haired bluish
silver-eyed Slytherin. Harry
settled at the seat at the back of the dungeon with Hermione, a sigh escaping
his lips. Double Potions was only not his thing, it was also the lesson Harry
loathed the most. The boy could only gave a brief formal reply smile as he felt
a certain Asian Slytherin smiling to him from the front seat. Snape
went to enter his classroom a few while later, and while he was swaying the end
of his robes he gave Harry a malicious look. “So, now, the celebrity Potter
had returned to himself. I was beginning to miss your pretty self a few days
ago; an advertisement of oneself, or just applying that you’re capable of
looking more into a Firebolt?” he sneered, sarcasm dripping from his voice as
most of the Slytherins laughed at Harry. The
Boy Who Lived was clenching his teeth, trying to control his anger. He then
looked up, and a surprising scene entered his eyes. Malfoy
was not laughing at all. He did not even look smug. The blonde’s gray eyes
were filled with something like…lust? Harry
blinked and founded that the blonde had put on his cold Malfoy mask again. He
sighed; deciding that he must had been hallucinating. Malfoy never lust on
anyone; he always got what and would always get he wanted, there was no need of
making a lusty look at all. Little
did the Gryffindor Golden Boy knew that once there was one thing Malfoy
couldn’t get, even after he wanted him so badly. Harry. And
even though the blonde was always saying to himself that he no longer wanted but
despised the raven-haired boy, The
truth was far from that. A
small cough snapped everyone from what they were doing (For Harry and Draco’s
case: thinking. For others: laughing). The Potions Master turned around and
found the mudblood Slytherin looking at him with a calming smile but innocent
eyes. Snape shrugged, never liking the girl too much. “What is it, Ms
Kitagawa?” Yura
smiled again, before raising her head and looked at the Teacher on the eyes.
“Thank you for appraising my work,” she stated, gesturing her hand to Harry,
“Like you had said, transforming Harry into a sleek and fine pretty person,
sir, it had been my job.” The
laughing stopped abruptly as Snape hissed at the Asian girl, giving her a death
glare, but Yura seemed unaffected. Harry was slightly shocked, but smiled a
small ‘thanks’ to the girl afterwards for getting him out of full attention
after the Head of Slytherin turned to the board and waved his wand, asking the
students to brew an extremely difficult Potion (instructions written on the
board) that required a mix of Runes and incantations in it within an hour flat. And
so, for the next hour, Harry and Hermione had been busy brewing the potion,
adding the ingredients carefully, stirring clockwise and anticlockwise all at
the exact instructed time, while Yura and Malfoy, as usual, used a Controlling
Charm and did nothing much but watching the process, making sure that nothing
went wrong. Snape
couldn’t be more than disappointed when Harry and Hermione’s potion in the
cauldron was shimmering a purple vapor and light dark brown in colour, exactly
the same colours
as the potion in Malfoy and Yura’s cauldron. The greased haired man could only
hiss in anger as he went back to the front of the class, asking everyone to put
their potion into a veil and named it before leaving the class and set them a
nasty 24-inches long essay about the old Rune Potions for homework. The
rest of the day turned out to be better. They (meaning: Ron, Harry, Dong Eun and
Yura) had been doing a group work on the star divination and got a full mark for
the assessment, giving each of them 10 extra points to their House points. All
the time during Divination, Ron had tried to treat the Slytherin girl better,
which was welcomed with a thin sincere smile from Yura. Harry was beginning to
get very fascinated. A single smile from the girl can speak of lots of things,
depending on what type it was. Care
of the Magical Creatures went as normally as it usually would, with Professor
Grubbly-Plank setting them to work with tiny little cats (the girls were
screaming ‘Awwww, cute!’), trying to get them to shed their black furs to
later be collected for a cure of any kind of Hair Growing Hexes.
This lesson, they were rather working in quiet, for Hermione still
loathed Yura with every fiber of her body for being simply cleverer than her,
and with Malfoy present in that class, Yura had come to partner with him. Harry
sent her a look of something like jealousy before realizing it and had to
mentally smack his mind again. The
boy then spent all his free period sitting by his favorite tree near the lake,
thinking about the mess of emotions in his heart. It was a while before a sudden
tiredness hit the boy and Harry slowly closed his eyes as he was drifting into
sleep. Harry
found himself opening his eyes and walking in the all too familiar darkness by
now, his body glowing stronger than last time, making him able to see not just
his whole body and the path in front of him, but also far ahead. He walked and
turned at all familiar turns. It was a while before the emerald-eyed Gryffindor
managed to get to the place where he would once again see the two balls of
Darkness and the figure of the blonde, silver-eyed Slytherin. Whilst mind keep on denying, attraction can not be halt ‘Is
it?’ Harry asked amusedly, pressing his hand onto the barrier that separated
him from the other field where the two darkness balls stood. Only this time
there wasn’t any invisible wall. Harry’s hand went straight in front and if
it wasn’t for his quick Seeker’s reflex, Harry would have fallen flat on his
face. Go and listen to the decisions your heart chooses, Bring
him into your warmth and never let go, Approachable… The
Boy Who Lived quirked his eyebrows at the voice. Should he really listen to it?
How was he supposed to know if it was Voldemort’s trick or not? Harry sighed.
The voice told him to listen to his heart, and his heart was currently urging
him on to the ball of warmer darkness where the blonde figure stood. Harry
stepped towards it, first hesitantly, but firmly as he got nearer and nearer
towards the ball. ‘Only a few more steps…’ Harry thought as he almost
clearly saw the unmistakably slender back of the blonde, ‘few more steps…’ In
all sudden, the wind went wild and the ground crumbled. Harry jerked downwards
and could only closed his eyes and screamed as huge pain began to engulf his
scar. The raven-haired boy clutched his head and began to panic. The pain had
not been bothering him since he first got the dream about the darkness and all,
and it worried him to suddenly have it again. Soon,
the pain subsided, and when Harry opened his eyes again, he found himself
standing in a gloomy dark room that smelt of old woods, a few hooded people
standing around him. Harry turned to look down and found the ratty face of the
man he hated a lot: Peter Pettingrew. Harry
had to strain a groan from his heart. No, not again, the Boy Who Lived thought,
not the damn dream about Voldemort again. A
sound from someone shifting around him broke the boy’s thought and he was
forced to turn his look to that someone who was bowing in front of him and
kissed the hem of his robe. Puking in disgust, he said in a voice that was not
his. “Well, nice to see you, MacNair,” The
hooded person stood up and opened his hood, revealing the smug face of MacNair,
Ministry of Magic’s Executioner. The man made a small smirk and he bowed at
the Dark Lord again. “The plan is working very well, my Lord,” he informed. Harry
could feel Voldemort raising his eyebrow before bringing those pale, thin
fingers to touch his chin amusedly. “Good. And where exactly is he now, my
Fire Elemental Master?” ‘Fire
Elemental Master?’ Harry thought, freezing. He saw two hooded people came from
the corner of the room, dragging a person with long Platinum blonde manes. Harry
froze. He could only think of one clan who had that very particular hair colour.
‘It couldn’t be…it couldn’t be!!’ Harry muttered over and over again
in his head. The
figure was put down below him. Harry could feel the figure kissed the hem of the
Dark Lord’s robe before looking up. Harry had to strain a gasp. It
was Lucius Malfoy. Harry
cringed. The Death Eaters had somehow managed to free him from Azkaban, which
meant that they must have freed the other ones as well. He was forced to look
straight down onto Lucius’s smug face as the man spoke his gratitude. “Thank
you very much for freeing me, my Lord.” Voldemort
chuckled and made Harry shivered. He reached out the sick long fingers to play
with the blonde manes before bending down a little and lifted Lucius’s face.
“Why, you’re welcome. You know you have a big importance in my plan, do you
not, Lucius, my Earth Elemental Master?” ‘Another
Elemental Master?’ Harry thought hard, trying to think about something he had
read about it. Nil. One
more hooded figure bowed down to knees before opening the hood, revealing the
face of one of the people Harry loathed the most: Bellatrix Lestrange – the
torturer of Neville’s parents and *Sirius*’s murderer… Harry
had to strain the urge to leap and hit the woman; he mustn’t do too much
thing, for Voldemort might realize his presence in the dark man’s mind and
make advantages of it. Voldemort
turned to the woman and smiled an evil smile at her. “Why, I never thought of
this to be so useful, my Water Elemental Master?” “Use
all my services,” Bellatrix bowed and kissed the hem of Voldemort’s robe.
‘Again!’ Harry was beginning to get sick. Luckily
to the Boy Who Lived, it was not too long before the lingering pain in his head
became more intense. Harry couldn’t help but to scream out loud and before he
knew it, he was already sitting on the grass, the sky darkening – it must have
been over dinner – and he was clutching his scar; it was hurting so badly. Bad
enough to make him stand up and ran over the field, thinking something as, ‘I
have to go and tell Dumbledore about this!’ even though he was not comfortable
to do so at all. ~*~ Yura
was sitting straightly on her seat next to Malfoy, looking with slightly dull
eyes at the old Professor Vector, sighing mentally at the hard stares Hermione
Granger was giving her all the time when she was answering a question. This
shouldn’t have happened. She needed to get along with the bushy haired brunet
as well as *everyone else*. Perhaps she should be acting to be a little stupider
to get along together next time… The
girl changed her mind as she sensed one particular Gryffindor with unruly
raven-hair and clear green eyes began to enter the reign of dream, a reign where
she was so good at controlling. Yura willed her concentration for a while as she
was setting the Darkness all over Harry and watched as he went along all the
by-now-should-be-familiar paths to him while her face made an expression of
pretending to concentrate at the Arithmancy questions. She
waited until the Boy Who Lived reached the field of the two ball of Darkness,
where she had set a vivid image of Voldemort in one ball, and a more clear bit
still vague Malfoy’s image in the ball that was radiating warmness. The
warmness was not from her will – it just happened to be like that. Whilst mind keep denying, attraction can not be halt Yura
smiled as Harry made an ‘is it?’ question and pressed his hand on the
supposed to be there invisible wall. Only this time, deciding that it was time
for Harry to explore more, she erased the wall and had to stifle a giggle as the
Gryffindor Golden Boy almost fell flat on the face. Instead, she began to amuse
herself as Harry began to argue with his mind before sighing and move closer to
the ball of Darkness where Malfoy’s image was placed. ‘Soon…’
Yura couldn’t help but smirk a little, ‘soon…’ Suddenly,
the wind went wild and the ground crumbled; a force so strong, stronger than her
power was intruding and interfering her work, and for a while she realized the
power. It was the power she’d been trying to avoid and protect the boy from
when Harry had his reign of dream. A
thick, dense, powerful Dark Elemental Power… Voldemort’s. The
Asian Slytherin snapped and stood up suddenly, making Professor Vector stopped
her teaching and sent her a weird look. The whole class seemed to stop as well
and Malfoy and Hermione Granger was giving her one particular raise on their
eyebrows. “Are
you okay, Kitagawa?” Professor Vector asked, “sick?” Yura
looked up, appearing a little bit blabbered before gaining her calm,
expressionless mask of emotion. “I am fine. Just a little bit tired.” The
old Professor sighed. “Do you need to go to the Hospital Wing, dear? It must
be a stress from study.” The
Asian girl wanted to snicker, but suppressed it down in her throat as she nodded
at the Professor. “Yes, I would like to rest for a while.” The
Professor nodded before letting her go and returned to the class, Malfoy sending
a weirder, suspicious look at her before she vanished from the room. Yura sighed
heavily before leaning to the cold wall and tried to call her partner with
telepathy. ‘Dong Eun? You there?’ It
was a few seconds before a reply could be heard. ‘Yes, Yura, what’s
wrong?’ ‘My
reign of dream has been interfered.’ A
long silence ‘Let’s
go to Albus,’ Yura said again, ‘I think it’s time for us to reveal the
truth.’ It
was another long silence before a male sigh could be heard. ‘Yes.’ With
that, Yura stormed out of the Tower and muttered an ancient incantation before
disappearing with a soft ‘pop’. ~*~ Harry
ran his hand through his hair in frustration, having not able to find what the
password to the Headmaster’s office even after ranting about food for almost
half an hour. He felt stupid, shouting names of sweets, both muggle and
Wizard’s sweets, in front of the still statue of the Gargoyle. If any muggle
saw him doing this, he must have been taken to an asylum already. The boy
sighed. Now then he understood the meaning of the Dursleys saying that he and
‘his kinds’ were freaks. The
Gryffindor Seeker was about to try again when the Gargoyle moved suddenly. Harry
waited for a while before the sight of a really old Wizard with long white beard
came to his eyes. Dumbledore’s eyes twinkled behind his half moon
shaped-spectacles as he reached out his aged hand and grabbed Harry’s hand.
“Come, I have someone to meet you.” “Sir,
I-,” Harry wanted to tell him about the dream, but Dumbledore silenced him
with a ‘shush’. The boy growled in frustration as he followed the Headmaster
up the moving staircase. He entered the room after the old Wizard, closing the
door behind and was about to rant about his dream when a smiling figure entered
his sight. It
was Remus J Lupin, sitting with his back turned towards Harry, his brown eyes
looking so tired but glowing with something akin to happiness, having more gray
hairs in his brown locks than ever. Harry
opened his mouth a little in shock. He had not been meeting with the only man
approachable that was his father’s best friends in fear of getting reminded of
his dead Padfoot and Father, but now, as he was seeing the man just like that,
he forgot about all of them and only had one thing in his mind: an urge to leap
on him and hug him. Harry was about to run at the Werewolf and wrap his arms
around him to embrace him, but another sight made him shocked and hesitated his
movements. Instead
of looking into a thin, flat, narrowed stomach of the man, Harry was looking
into a slightly big, swollen stomach that could not be a gain of weight – the
other parts of Moony’s body were still so small and skinny. Harry
was gapping. “How- when…what-?” He blabbered as Moony stood up with a thin
smile and pulled Harry into a hug. “Long time no see, Harry.” The
raven-haired boy was lost in the warm embrace for a while before Remus set him
sitting down on the seat across from him and sat down with a slight effort.
Harry eyed every movement of the Werewolf before opening his mouth to ask,
“Profess- no, I mean, Lupin, are you pregnant!?” The
man in the shabby clothing shrugged uncomfortably before shooting a smile that
didn’t quite reach his eyes at his best friend’s son. “Call me Remus all
right, Harry,” he waved his hand nonchalantly as he made a move and engulfed
Harry’s hand in his while the boy was looking at the man curiously, Dumbledore
obviously very ignored. The Headmaster only shrugged as he busied himself by
reading some books from his shelf. Remus
sighed before looking up seriously at Harry. “Harry, you do know that the
Ministry of Magic had cast a spell on every single Werewolf on earth to turn
them barren and sterile, unable to bear a new young and therefore wishfully
making our kind extinct?” Harry
shook his head furiously. “That’s awful!” he breathed at Moony before his
gaze fell on the swollen stomach again and raised an eyebrow. Remus
only made another smile before one of his hands unconsciously patted his swollen
stomach. “Oh, I am sterile all right, Harry, my seeds are as useless as dead
rots-,” Harry blushed at the term as Remus made a pause and patted his unruly
raven hair caringly, “but there is a way to change what the Ministry of Magic
had done to us.” The
boy looked up at the forty years old man. “What is it??” The
former Professor made a shrug. “The Ministry of Magic forgot a point. Just
because my seeds are sterile doesn’t mean that my body is incapable of
carrying a young and bearing them.” A
thought hit Harry. “Conception Potion…” he breathed, more blood rushing
into his face. Remus
nodded. “Yes, a useful potion, Conception Potion is – helps transfigured my
sterile sperm into a fertilizable egg during mating and also transfigured my
inner body systems, making it able for me to have the child,” he explained in
a teaching manner. Harry
nodded, trying to get his blood to regulate normally again. Now that he had a
clearer idea about it, he wanted to ask more. “Remus?” Moony looked at him
with a smile and urged him on, “who’s…er…the father?” the boy groaned
as he felt the blushes coming back to his cheeks. In
all sudden, the Werewolf’s face fell, making Harry not too sure whether asking
the question was a right thing or not. When the boy was about to say ‘forget
it’, Harry found himself in a big warm embrace in Remus’s arms. “Forgive
me for not telling you earlier, Harry,” the man’s breathing was slightly
hitched. He paused for a while before taking a breath. “I had been…in a
relationship with…Sirius…for a while last year…” The
Boy Who Lived blinked, his heart hurt greatly at the mention of his Godfather.
“Oh…” he could only say that, “oh…” Harry felt tears running from
the Werewolf’s eyes. He then wrapped his arm around the considerably thin if
not for the pregnancy man and tried to comfort him, realizing that he was not
the only one hurt by Sirius’s death here, “Sirius…left without seeing his
child…” Harry’s breathing was beginning to hitch. He felt tears escaping
his eyes as well and rolled down his cheeks. Remus
made an uncomfortable shrug as he released away from Harry and sobbed quietly
into his hands, couldn’t bear to see James’s son anymore. “If there’s
something I regret so much…” he blabbered desperately as he wiped his own
tears, “Sirius never knew about this…” Harry’s
eyes jolted up while his mouth opened a little in shock again.
“Sirius…didn’t know?” Moony
nodded shakily, more tears were decorating his face. “I myself didn’t know
it after he was buried,” the forty years old man sobbed, “I was thinking
that maybe the Potion didn’t work after all, maybe my sterile seed could not
transfigure into a fertilizable egg because of the spell after all…I didn’t
know…” Remus took out a patched but still fine handkerchief and used it to
wipe his tears, “but I decided to keep it. It might be the only living
reminder of him that won’t be demolished out of time – at least not before I
die…hopefully.” The
emerald-eyed boy suddenly felt sympathy and admiration towards the Werewolf –
he was brave, he decided to carry the fetus with a shattered heart, not to
mention it would be miserable to be pregnant itself – Harry
stood up from his chair as a gush of idea entered his mind. “Remus, do you
have a work?” Remus
gave a raise of eyebrow. “Do you think I am capable of it?” he gave out a
strained playful ‘don’t be silly’ smile. “Then,”
Harry began to curse Sirius out loud in his own mind, “where did you get the
money to feed both you and the baby!?” Moony
face fell. “Debts,” he murmured before lifting his face, trying to make a
bright smile, an attempt that he obviously failed of doing. Harry
heart sank. Being a Werewolf itself had already stripped Lupin off lots of
rights, probably including getting trust from Gringotts or other Monetary
Departments in the Ministry of Magic. That, and the thought that he were living
in luxury of still having two faults full of galleons far down there in
Gringotts made Harry felt sick. “Wait
a moment,” Harry murmured as he got his wand out of his pocket, Remus eyeing
him confusedly. “Accio Gringotts Letter and key.” A
few moments later, the letter with Gringotts’ emblem came flying to the boy
with the key, and Harry took it before giving it to the Werewolf. “Here, take
it,” Harry said sincerely. Remus
took the letter with still puzzled look, opened it carefully and read it for a
while. He then looked up at Harry, who was smiling thinly at Moony. “You can
have the fault.” The
Werewolf frowned and tried to hand the key and the letter back to Harry.
“Sirius was meant to give that to you, not to me. Listen, Harry, that’s not
right-.” “I
don’t care,” Harry cut the protest, “you’re having a hard live trying to
survive out there with the baby you created from his love and I’m living in
luxury having two faults full of galleons enough for three generations? No,
thanks.” Remus fell silent for a while, comprehending what the boy had just
said before opening his mouth and tried to argue again. “Listen,” Harry
stopped him before he even spoke and pushed the key into the Werewolf’s hand
gently while smiling to his face, “Sirius would have given it to you if he’d
known about it. He would have wanted his child to grow up well, and he would
have wanted his lover to be happy as well. Please take it, Remus.” It
was silence before the Werewolf made a somehow defeated but also relieved smile.
“Thank you, Harry. I will not waste it,” he said, smiling a sincere smile as
well. The
two looked at each other with smiles on their faces. The moment became silence
again as the boy and the former Gryffindor sat back to their seats, but this
time it was a comfortable silence, and Harry liked it. Of course, his heart
still panged at the hurt of missing his Godfather, but he had to be strong. Like
Remus. For
once, Harry felt that he could completely move on to his life and he could begin
to help the Order again. The
comfortable silence was broken as the door creaked open, revealing a rather
small and pale girl with shoulder length unruly raven hair and brown eyes,
accompanied with a tall and lean tanned boy with spiky raven hair and dark brown
eyes. Kitagawa
Yura and Kim Dong Eun. Harry
was about to stand up and to ask what kind of business they were having here in
the Headmaster office but found out that Remus had stood up first, his eyes
widened a bit and his mouth gaped for a while before smiling and muttered
‘gracious God,’ as he went straight in front of Yura and bent down to his
knees. “Mistress,” he breathed respectfully. ‘What
the hell!? Mistress!?’ Harry thought blatantly as he eyed both Remus and Yura
with wide eyes. He looked at Dong Eun and glared for an explanation but found
none from the Asian boy. The
Asian Slytherin seemed to sigh heavily before her face actually softened a lot.
She bent down and offered the Werewolf a hand and helped him stood up.
“Remus,” she greeted with an actual warm smile, “I do not want you to call
me that,” she whispered as she wrapped her arms around the man. “But
you are Mistress,” Moony smiled as Yura parted away. She noticed the swollen
stomach and smiled affectionately again. “Padfoot’s…?” she trailed off,
Remus nodding lightly at her. Her smile widened as she muttered some ancient
spells on the air, her finger drawing a golden brown David star surrounded by a
circle. “Almourte” she whispered, sending the rune to Remus’s
stomach. Harry
bolted. “What are you casting to him?” he asked in a panicked tone. It was
that when he saw Remus’s face relaxing he realized the spell was not something
bad. “It’s blessing,” Remus murmured to Harry, “a strengthening caring
spell. One of the best, from Mistress.” Harry
furrowed his eyebrow. “Why do you keep calling Yura Mistress??” Remus
looked at the boy bewilderedly and was about to say the reason when Yura
suddenly went up to the Headmaster’s desk, Dong Eun following her.
“Albus,” her face was stern, more stern than anything Harry’d ever seen,
and her tone was lacking the thick Asian accent but had a British accent
instead, although a little bit of the Eastern tone still hadn’t vanish,
“there have been an interference during my reign of dream control.” The
Headmaster looked back, not seeming to mind at the fact that he was called by
his first name. “By…?” he trailed, asking as he lowered his spectacles a
bit. Yura
stared at the twinkling blue eyes hard. “Voldemort.” That
one single word reminded Harry of the main reason why he had come to the old
Wizard’s office. Giving a startled look at Yura, who apparently dared to voice
the Dark Lord’s name, Harry strode towards the Headmaster as well.
“Professor Dumbledore I want to tell you about something – I got a dream
vision about Voldemort.” The
old Wizard gave a little weary look to the two Asians and asked them to sit down
before turning at Harry. “And that would be?” “Lucius
Malfoy was freed from Azkaban by the Death Eaters, sir,” the emerald-eyed boy
informed, “and Macnair had been called Fire Elemental Master while Bellatrix
was called Water Elemental Master – that I do not understand why, and they
seem to be able to help Voldemort’s plan somehow. Oh, and Lucius was also
called-,” “Earth
Elemental Master,” Yura breathed, sighing heavily again. Harry turned at her
and nodded slightly, abashed at her knowing. “How do you know??” Harry asked
wildly, standing up. Albus
Dumbledore shot the boy a calming look. “Please sit down Harry. Wait while I
ask for Minerva to get Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. There is something I
want to tell you,” he said, standing up and went to a device that looked like
a magically built intercom. The Headmaster pressed the button. “Minerva?” “Yes,
Albus?” McGonagall’s stern voice could be heard. “Can
you help me get Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley to my Office?” “Sure.”
With that, the device went off. The
Headmaster turned to Harry, still standing, looking very defiant and very
crossed at Dumbledore’s still calm face. The old Wizard sighed as he gestured
towards Yura and Dong Eun. “Harry,” he addressed him, “Meet Kitagawa Yura
and Kim Dong Eun, Earth Elemental Mistress and Wind Elemental Master.” ~*~*~*~*~ Hermione
and Ron gave each other a worried look before turning their gazes back to the
Transfiguration Teacher in front of them. The two Gryffindros had been very
shocked when Professor McGonagall walked into their class and asked for
permission to summon them to the Headmaster’s office. Why, had they been doing
something wrong? Or had it been something to do with Harry? Hermione bit her
lips, mentally hitting herself for being too drown in her studies and ignored
the Gryffindor Seeker. ‘Well,’ the brunet sighed; ‘if it wasn’t for a
certain Asian Slytherin…’ she snickered lightly. And
as McGonagall led them to the Gargoyle, said the password for them and left them
on their own to get onto the stairs and the Headmaster’s office, Hermione and
Ron glanced at each other worried faces again before taking a gulp and obeyed.
They went onto the moving staircase and were staring at the door for a while
before knocking. A soft ‘come here’ could be heard a few moments afterwards.
And
it couldn’t be more of a shock for the two, especially to the Gryffindor
genius, to find her mortal rival and the other Asian boy she knew just barely
but seemed to be nice boy sitting next to the Slytherin there, right in front of
the Headmaster’s desk and next to their standing raven-haired friend who
looked like someone had just stolen his Firebolt. “You!”
Hermione hissed angrily and pointed a finger at the girl, “just what on earth
are you doing here!?” Kitagawa
Yura looked at her and sighed; she was about to say something before Harry
managed to interrupt. “Yura and Dong Eun are WHAT?” Ron,
who had been gaping since he stepped his feet into his room, widened his eyes
and looked at Harry with a confused face. Hermione too, diverted her gaze at her
best friend as the boy looked bewilderedly at Dumbledore and Yura. “What on
earth are you talking about??” he shouted in frustration. The
old Wizard sighed, his blue eyes turned to look at Yura and Dong Eun’s brown
eyes first before looking straight into Harry’s green eyes. “Harry, Ronald,
Hermione, please sit down. I am going to tell you something.” The
three Gryffindors shrugged and looked at each other before they sat down on the
newly conjured chairs, Dumbledore smiling thinly at their obedience. “You can
stay, Remus,” the old Wizard added, making Hermione and Ron realized that the
Werewolf was sitting uncomfortably close to the Slytherin girl. The brunet
almost hissed. ‘Why is it that everyone, including Professor Lupin, seems to
adore her!?’ Dumbledore’s
twinkling blue eyes proceeded to look at Harry, Hermione and Ron’s eyes
through the half moon shaped spectacles before he straightened up and opened his
mouth, once again gesturing for Yura and Dong Eun. “Hermione, Ronald, Harry,
meet Earth Elemental Mistress Yura and Wind Elemental Master Dong Eun.” Ron’s
mouth opened even larger while Harry only hissed again and Hermione gave a look
at the Headmaster, demanding for explanation. Albus Dumbledore saw that and only
smiled as he took out his fingers and drew a huge white David Star on the air,
and the room suddenly became dark. “This
world exists,” he began, looking around at the people in the room again,
before continuing, “because of six elements: Earth,” he pointed at the upper
right end where it was glowing brown, “Wind,” he pointed at the yellow point
right below the brown one, “Water,” he pointed at the blue point across the
brown one, “Fire,” his finger turned to the flaming red glow under the blue
one before the old Wizard looked up and gazed at Harry’s eyes intensely. He
paused for a while, leaving the upper and lower point empty before making a
sound from his throat. “Light, the upper one glowed white, “and,” he
paused again, “Dark.” Silence
reigned over the room. Harry could only watch as the diagram vanished from the
air, but the room was still dark. It was a while before Albus decided to talk
again. “Long time ago, Nature managed to live and maintain its magic to
themselves. However… human started destroying Nature and it was no longer save
for Nature to keep the magic in themselves, for fear that the human might found
the place they kept the power and used them greedily and therefore add more
unbalances to the Nature,” He took a breath before making a smile to himself,
“And that was the reason why the first generation of Elemental Masters were
born. They were to maintain the power of their elements and use it in purpose to
keep the Nature and its balance safe.” “There
are two masters for each elements, so that if one died of the inevitable, the
other one will still live and keep the balance of Nature before a new one
replacing the old one was born. Nature’s power is huge, and it would be more
convenient to split it into two and let the pair work their own balances. I
here,” Albus pointed at himself and smiled, “am the last person from the
first generation of Elemental Masters that managed to survive up until now. My
Element is Light.” A ball of light was glowing from his old crinkled hand, as
if proving his words. Harry
looked at the ball before trailing his eyes down to his own palm. He closed his
eyes, willing for a ball of light to come out too, and there it came; even
though it was not as bright or as warm as Dumbledore’s one, but it was there,
real and firm. Yura
and Dong Eun’s eyes made a light gleam as Hermione and Ron’s eyes widened a
little bit. Although Harry had told them about this over summer, this was the
first time they managed to see it with their own eyes. Albus Dumbledore made a
small smile as he stood up and put his hand onto his protégé’s head. “Yes,
Harry, you are the other Light Elemental Master, one of the younger
generation.” Once
again, silence reigned over the room. Harry did not seem too surprised about it
– his power had begun showing for about 3 months, and it explained why
Dumbledore was such a great Wizard. Hermione
shifted uneasily from her seat, making the Headmaster turned his attention to
the brunet. Dumbledore smiled calmly at the Gryffindor genius. “I am sorry to
have hid this from you all – I just thought that it would be better if you do
not know it yet. Being an Elemental Master can be a strain to mind, a
responsibility too high to Nature and human being,” he paused, “And Hermione
Granger, your guess was right back then.” The
brunet stood up and walked to the old Wizard. “So…are Ron…and I…?” The
Headmaster nodded. “Yes, Hermione Granger, you are the Water Elemental
soon-to-be-Mistress, and Ronald Weasley is the Fire Elemental
soon-to-be-Master,” Dumbledore smiled fondly at the brunet, who looked like
she was going to burst with happiness at the knowledge of being something so
important, “I’d had a feeling it would be you. After all, water is calm and
ever so intelligent.” Harry
turned and looked at his red-haired friend. Ron had dropped his jaw onto the
floor, his eyes wide, seeming to be unable to believe what that had just been
told to him. A
shift of leg from the other part of the room made all the Gryffindors and the
Headmaster turned their attention to the Slytherin girl and the tanned
Gryffindor Chaser. It was then the information that her rival had the same
importance as her sank into Hermione’s mind. She was beginning to hate the
Asian girl more than ever. Yura
was giving this very expressionless face to Dumbledore before the lights went
back to the room again. The Headmaster suddenly turned to Harry, Ron and
Hermione again. “Whilst you three being Elemental Masters is something to
celebrate,” the old Wizard’s voice turned colder a slightest bit, “there
is something we must concern now especially according to the dream Harry had
informed me of having.” A
thought sunk into Harry’s mind, making his face go hard as his best friends
eyed him with another worried faces. “Macnair and Bellatrix are the other Fire
and Water Elemental Masters,” Harry hissed through his clenched teeth, “And
Lucius is the other Earth Elemental Master as well. It is not very good that
they had decided to join the Dark and can use their power against us.” Dumbledore
sighed. “True,” he whispered, suddenly looking very old. Hermione’s face
turned hard too. She did not need to hear the full story; she had known that
Harry must have had another dream of being Voldemort again. “Voldemort has
already 3 Masters at hand,” the brunet stated in a slightly panicked tone. “No,”
Albus’s face wrinkled, making him looked older than before as the man stared
into Harry’s eyes, “Voldemort himself is a Dark Elemental Master. They have
already had 4 Masters at hand, and adults ones as well.” A
Dark, moody air began to hung around them. Ron had stopped gaping and instead
grim lines started forming on his head, so as Hermione and Harry. It was a while
before Dumbledore sat back on his chair and gestured towards the three other
forgotten occupants of the room. “Your powers are still unstable. I want you
to prepare yourselves and train to gain more control of your powers. Yura and
Dong Eun *will help you.” Hermione
Granger could not strain the snicker anymore. She snorted out loud in front of
the calm Slytherin girl, pointing at her with absurdity on her indignant face.
“And what can she, a younger and inexperienced Elemental Mistress who might as
well had just found out about her power like us, teach us? Not to mention
she’s a slimy Slytherin she can turn to the Dark any time and stab us on the
back?” Her eyes were flaming. It
surprised Harry, Ron and Hermione as suddenly the Werewolf that had been very
quiet the whole time snapped and stood up. “Hermione, you have no right to say
such to Mistress!” He had this very bitter look on his face, like if he were
in his wolf form he would have bitten her leg off. And
as Hermione was going to cry out ‘what is wrong with you, Professor
Lupin!?’, Yura stood up and patted the pregnant Wizard on the back, asking him
to sit. “Remus, it’s fine,” she said in British accent with a tone that
allowed no further argument before turning to face Hermione and looked up at her
with a very, very cold look that if it was Harry that was under it, he was sure
to have run and hide already. The brunet was a little bit scared, but did not
want to show it and instead glared back at the smaller girl. Yura’s
eyes made a little twitch. “I may look so small, Ms Hermione Granger, but I am
over my eighties.” The
single statement made Harry, Hermione and Ron widened their eyes and turned to
look at Dong Eun, questioning his age as well before stopping at Dumbledore,
demanding for another explanation, in which the old Wizard only raised one white
eyebrow. “Once realizing their powers, Elemental Masters will stop growing
until it was their time of age where it would be near for them to die,” Yura
waved her hand nonchalantly, explaining in favor of the old Wizard, who only
nodded with her. “Elemental Masters can live for thousand of years, like Albus
here, but no worries, although Albus had shown that he would be near to his End,
Albus is a Light Master, and Light and Dark Masters tend to be stronger than
others.” Dumbledore
made a small smile to Yura. “Do not say something as such – I am sure that I
could never have defeated Grindelwald, the Dark Elemental Master, back then in
1940s, without you two’s help. I owe you lots, and especially because that it
was only my name the credit was given for.” Harry
blinked. 1940s? He turned to scan Yura up and down before shrugging. The girl
– woman – seemed to be quite old and experienced. Yura
was waving her hand nonchalantly again as Dumbledore turned to Harry and his
friends. Seeing that Hermione still had this weird, offended look towards Lupin
for his harsh snap to her, the Headmaster explained, “Elemental Masters not
only can control the power of Nature, but also every beast that have lived under
the element. Because when the beasts are using the energy of the element, they
are using up the energy of the Elemental Master as well, thus they owe huge to
their Elemental Masters and tend to be so protective about them.” “You
can summon them for help as well,” added Yura before sighing and turning at
the old Wizard, “there are so much for them to learn Albus…” That
explained a lot, especially at the fact that why Firenze seemed to have so great
a respect towards the girl during Divinations. And as Yura and the Headmaster
were talking to themselves, Harry couldn’t help but voice his thought out
loud. “Well, Yura is Earth, Dong Eun is Wind, I am Light, Ron is Fire and
Hermione is Water…” he paused, “I wonder who the is other…you
know…Dark?” Dumbledore
and Yura stopped talking that right moment and looked at Harry. There was
silence once again as the disguised Slytherin and the Headmaster looked at each
other with weary look. “Well?”
Harry mused. He could feel his two friends wondering as well. “Is he not in
this school or someone we know?” Yura
and Albus shot each other a look again before the Asian turned to look at Harry
with somehow defeated look and opened her mouth. “Draco
Malfoy.” Another
silence. And
then panic. “What
if Malfoy turn to his father, which we know is what the git will probably be
doing, and submit himself to the Dark? Won’t they be a lot stronger? With the
two Dark Elemental Masters and all?” Hermione’s voice was rising. Dong
Eun, who had been sitting in the corner quietly looking at the people in the
room, went up. “That is the main reason we disguise ourselves as students when
we probably could already handle the job of being a Professor, and dug out our
old accent. We are to help making sure that wouldn’t happen. Yura here has a
really important role, for she is the one in the Slytherin House. And for me, it
looks like her attempts are quite working. Of course, people with magic power
get attracted to the person with a stronger magic power similar to their kind
and thus that is what that makes Malfoy becomes friends with Yura, while he may
not even want it to happen at the beginning.” His voice was still deep, only
that his accent was almost a perfect British accent. Yura
nodded. “I have been trying to make the friendship deeper, but he keeps on
sniffing the clues out of me. Can’t help it, Draco is a Dark. Dark is
suspicious.” Suddenly,
before the talk went further, Dumbledore stood up and pressed his hands onto the
table. “So much for today. Remus needs rest. Harry, would you mind
accompanying him to the room I prepared for him?” Harry
nodded. He paddled across the room and helped Remus out. Harry was about to
close the door and leave the room when Dumbledore called him. The boy turned and
gave the Headmaster a questioning look. “Harry,”
the old Wizard’s eyes were twinkling once again, “once again, I will tell
you that it will help a lot if you manage to befriend Draco Malfoy, despite of
the fact that you hate him so much.” Unlike
last time, Harry nodded, before his figure turned and left. Hermione
and Ron gave one look to each other and were about to excuse themselves to have
a talk over all these with Harry when suddenly Yura and Dong Eun gave them quite
hard looks. “Do not leave yet, we have something to discuss,” Yura stated,
only to be strengthened by Albus’s nod. The
two 16 years old Gryffindors looked at each other and tried to make themselves
more comfortable on their seats while Yura and Dong Eun sat closer than before.
The five stared at each other for a while before a sweat was dropped from
Yura’s forehead. She sighed and wiped it off before opening her mouth. “There
is a way of making one Elemental Master’s power much stronger than
before…” Yura trailed. Hermione’s eyes were turned fully to her as she
straightened her position. “Yes? Mind telling us, know-it-all??” “Look,”
the Asian girl sighed in frustration, “it is better if we get along with each
other. We need each other’s power to win, and please, I have lived long good
80 years, quite a long time to read millions of books,” she stated, and
Hermione shrugged. The Slytherin made a point. Yura’s
usually void brown eyes turned once again wary as she looked around the room
before setting onto Hermione’s eyes. “Well, I’ll continue. The way we can
do of making one Elemental Master’s power stronger is: the basic of all
strength,” she paused, “…Bonding with another Elemental Master.” The
brunet closed her eyes and let out a huge sigh. She’d known what type of
Bonding it was, or else Kitagawa Yura wouldn’t be so wary to say it. Ron
himself was squirming uncomfortably on his chair. “Let’s
just say,” Yura stated again, looking at the two teens in front of her up and
down with some amused looks, “we know the choice of mate you two will be
choosing,” Hermione and Ron turned beat red at the statement before Hermione
managed to gain her composure back. Yura managed a smile at them before biting
her lips. “The problem is how to get Harry and Draco together to bond…or
else Harry’ll never strengthen.” Hermione
slumped back to the chair at that statement, while Ron’s face was turning red
with anger and absurdity. “Why that ferret face!?” he shouted, standing up,
“He’s a prat, a git, Harry deserves better!” This
time it was Dong Eun that was sighing. “Look, Yura clearly said that it is
better to get along – we can’t afford to win against two Dark Elemental
Masters.” The
youngest son of Weasley was not pleased with that answer. “Yeah, but why
Harry!? It is as if he’s not a victim of Fate already! With that Ferret face,
oh my God!! Why can’t you just let that prat shag you and let Dong Eun has
Harry instead!? At least Dong Eun is much nicer, and Harry won’t object that
much!!” Ron nearly spat to Yura’s face. Silence
reigned over. Dumbledore looked around at the expressions of the teens and
teens-in-disguise and the old Wizard’s face fell. What Ronald Weasley had just
said was true. Harry was already the victim of Fate; he needed not more by
having to bond with his archrival. The Headmaster sighed. There was no other
way… Yura’s
eyes turned into a very, very cold brown colour. “I can not, Weasley,” she
stated, and before Ron could scream at her on the face again, she continued,
“I have bonded with Dong Eun a long time ago to be able to overpower
Grindelwald, and once bonded with another Elemental Master, one Elemental Master
can not bond with anyone else anymore. So, unless you’re saying that one of
you get Draco to shag you instead of Harry, this arrangement can not be
changed.” Once
again, the air around them became very heavy. Yura eyed the expressions on
Harry’s best friends’ faces. Ron was pummeled with anger and sparks of fire
had started to burn the carpet if not for Dumbldore’s magic putting it down. “Look,”
Yura sighed, “we do not want Draco to go over to the Dark, nor losing to the
dark due to not being bonded. Bonding is a very useful thing; it makes you and
your mate be able to fuse your powers and got a lot stronger,” the Asian girl
stated with heavy voice, trying to convince the other two, “and we are working
as hard as we could for it. I am currently invading Harry and Draco’s dreams
to get them together – I am a Seer, by the way,” she quickly added, “and I
really wish that it is improving. Hopefully I will be able to stir his mind
towards it, and I want you to encourage this matchmaking. That is all I want you
to do.” Ron
and Hermione looked at each other again for no-one-knew-how-many-times that
night and sighed before they nodded silently and excused themselves out of the
room. Dong Eun stretched out on his chair, looking with a faraway look as Yura
slumped her face to her hands and Dumbledore lost the twinkle in his eyes, all
losing their minds into the world of deep thinking. ~*~*~*~*~ End
