5: Halloween ~*~*~*~*~ Time
passed fast. That was the only thing Harry currently could think of. With all
these hard NEWTs classes homework haunting. Others weren’t too bad; only
Potions were nightmare. After all, Harry hadn’t got the qualification to enter
that NEWTs class; with Hermione always away in the library (she was still angry
when the Asian still knew more than the brunet) and all his Quidditch practices,
Harry found his Potions grade falling dangerously close to almost fail. And if
it wasn’t for a certain raven haired Asian, the raven-haired boy could have
failed his sole excuse to practice Occlumency. It
was hard to believe that it was a Slytherin that helped Harry out of his
problem. Every
free period on Monday afternoons, Kitagawa Yura, Kim Dong Eun and Harry would
meet up in some empty classes to do homework together. At first it was only Dong
Eun that had the study time with Yura – the boy had told Harry earlier that he
would need helping to keep up with lessons that were not his own language –
and after the new Gryffindor Chaser found out about Harry’s problem, he asked
the other boy to join. Harry agreed, considering it was an action out of the
desperateness that Hermione couldn’t help him with anything. After
some lessons with the girl, Harry surprisingly couldn’t help to lean onto
Yura’s helps for Potions. Yura was like the newest version of a walking
Encyclopedia – she knew a whole lot of information Harry was sure Hermione
wouldn’t even know, and the more the Boy Who Lived got help from the Asian,
the more he agreed with Dong Eun that the brunet’s struggle would be futile. They
kept the meetings in secret; Harry was sure his classmates would hate to know
him having a civil friendship with a Slytherin and if not Yura could be in
deeper trouble when any of the snakes found out. Harry gritted his teeth. This
was the first time Harry hated the inter house rivalry. If someone told him he
would be having this kind of thought, he was sure to send the person to St.
Mungo, but no. In fact, Harry always seemed to forget that Yura was a Slytherin.
She might be cold and sometimes had that scowl plastered on her face, but she
was kind, rather quiet, and Harry liked her. Talking
about weird Slytherins, Malfoy hadn’t been sneering and pulling pranks at him
as much as the blonde could have done. Harry was missing the Ice Prince’s
attention very much, and he couldn’t hide it. Sometimes he was the first one
who came and made a crude remark to Malfoy in hope of a start of a fight –
Harry was so used to the fights he used to have with the blonde he felt an
emptiness and boringness without them – only to be turned down by a simple
‘sod off’ lots of times before Malfoy went to drag Yura away with him out of
the corridor. He was still rather inseparable with the Asian mudblood, and he
cared nothing of the other Slytherins who gave him disgracing looks. Meanwhile,
things were going very weird in Harry’s Occlumency lessons with Snape. At
first, the Gryffindor seemed to have no power of pushing the Professor away from
looking into his memories, but when Harry sensed that Snape was going to see the
dream he kept on having (Yes, Harry still had that dream *every* night) with
Malfoy in it, a sudden strength engulfed Harry and with a simple word ‘Menotte’
the white wall would come and come again and knocked Snape off his feet. And
when Harry feared for a more exhausting practice, Snape would just send him off
and kept on telling him to practice emptying his mind in-between the lessons.
Come to think of it, the more Harry summoned for the wall, the less exhausted he
got when he did it again next time. The
only thing that was doing fine was his Quidditch practices. With a few
persuasions to McGonagall, the team managed to get Dong Eun a decent Cleansweep
Seven, and the more Harry eyed the Chaser’s practices, the more he was
convinced on Yura’s words. Aside from throwing quaffle to each other (Ron no
longer dropping his quaffle), each position had each its own practices, and when
Harry had caught the Snitch the third time one evening, he saw how Dong Eun
managed to make his seventeenth goal on his own afford. The boy was a natural
like him. Ron, Katie and the other team members couldn’t help but feeling
excited. The Quidditch Cup would undoubtedly be within their reach. It
was a cool morning near the end of October when Hermione stuck a piece of
parchment onto the Notice Board in Gryffindor Common Room. Every student watched
as the girl left for another reading in library and shook their head before they
all crowded around the notice. Harry squeezed himself beside Ron before managing
to read the small notice. As
all the students know, HALLOWEEN will be held on the evening of 31st
of October in the Great Hall. However, this year, we decided to do a small
change. There will be a dance in the ceremony. There will be age restriction.
Only 4th years and above could come to the ceremony. Make sure to
bring a Date to the dance, and Have Fun! Signed, Professor
Minerva McGonagall Head
of Gryffindor While
hearing all the 3rd years and lower groaned in disappointment, Harry
furrowed his eyebrow and turned on his red-haired friend, expecting him to have
the same troubled mind as him, but no, Ron looked happy, and Harry’s heart
panged in jealousy. He had just forgotten that his two best friends were
together. The boy sighed. Just because the two of them were not spending their
time with each other and did not show any public affections did not mean that
the two of them had broken up, Harry reminded himself. The Boy Who Lived left
his best pal into his trance and went to Dong Eun. The
green-eyed boy sighed before looking up at the Asian. “Have any idea of your
Date yet?” asked Harry. Dong
Eun furrowed his eyebrow and shook his head. “No. Why cant we just go without
a Date?” he sighed desperately, “I don’t know many people here.” Harry
shrugged. “I suppose you can, but -.” “If
it’s just pride, blast that thing,” Dong Eun growled, “so much for being a
single.” Harry
laughed as his mind was silently agreeing on the Asian boy’s statement. “I
can see lots of disappointed girls. You know, you’re quite popular,” joked
the green-eyed boy. Dong Eun eyed the shorter boy with bewilderment in his dark
brown eyes before sighing. “I suppose I can ask Yura,” the Asian said
suddenly. “Well,
yeah. Good idea,” Harry said before pulling the boy to the portrait hole,
“come on, let’s go to the Hall now. I’m hungry. And you can ask Yura about
it there.” Dong
Eun nodded as the two left for breakfast, Harry purposely leaving Ron behind to
figure out how to ask Hermione into the ceremony with such a foul mood she was
in right now. In a matter of minutes, the two boys managed to gobble down some
food and were going out to prepare for their Herbology class when they met with
the Asian girl. The
raven-haired girl gave each boy a greeting. “Morning, Dong Eun, Harry!” she
said with a smile that did not quite reach her eyes. Both Gryffindors greeted
back, ignoring the looks the other Gryffindors and Slytherins were giving them
at that moment. Yura was going to continue her walk downstairs towards the Green
House as Dong Eun decided it was time to ask her his question. “Have you known
about the Halloween dance?” The
girl stopped at her childhood friend. “Why, yes I have,” she answered and
tilted her head in a questioning manner. Harry swore he could see a faint blush
forming on the Asian boy’s tanned face before he blurted out, “Can you go
with me?” Yura’s
face fell a bit before she looked up with the usual grace only some Slytherins
could do, reminding Harry particularly of Draco Malfoy when the girl said with a
slight apologetic tone. “I am sorry, Dong Eun, but I had promised to go with
someone else.” Dong
Eun’s mouth formed an “Oh,” as he looked down in defeat for a while before
lifting up his face again. “And may I know who?” Before
the Asian Slytherin could answer, someone had already sneaked behind her from
the shadows with such a grace that could be mistaken as gliding and placed his
hand on the girl’s petite shoulder. The sight of silver blonde hair and bluish
silver eyes were filling Harry’s mind as that someone, who turned out to be
Malfoy, smirked and answered. “Me,” Silence
reigned over for a few moment as Dong Eun squinted his eyes dangerously at the
Ice Prince that was only a few heads shorter than him. The Asian boy was
regarded with a cold stare. Harry watched the two boys glaring at each other
before Yura coughed. “Well, that’s right. I’m going with Draco.” Every
time Yura called Malfoy with ‘Draco’ always seemed to snap Harry’s
thought. Of realization, because he’d once again forgot that Yura was a
Slytherin; and of…something like…jealousy? Harry
shrugged. That could never be. The boy only missed Malfoy for his fights, his
cold sneers and his hatred gazes towards the Gryffindor. Or
did he? The
three Hogwarts boys were so busy with their own problems they didn’t see an
evil smile forming on the girl’s lips at the look on Harry’s face. Like
many people say, you won’t realize its significance until it’s gone…
Harry
shrugged. That voice again, never leaving him any time since the day the boy got
his power. In fact, it kept on talking a lot in Harry’s mind the boy had
already thought it of his own mind. ‘Yeah, that’s probably right,’ he
replied back to his head. The
green-eyed boy heard the voice chuckled in his head before saying something
again. Miss
it, like it, and then love it… Harry
snapped at that thought, making Malfoy and Dong Eun stopped glaring at each
other and looked at the green-eyed boy instead. “You okay, Harry?” the Asian
asked with a worried look. “Y-yeah…I’m
fine,” Harry replied as Malfoy tsked and grabbed Yura by the arm. “Come on,
we need to be in Herbology class soon,” he said. Yura nodded and left with the
blonde after waving at Harry and Dong Eun. Harry could only stare longingly at
the sight of silver blonde wisps that was disappearing at the end of the
corridor. ~*~ Harry
sighed as he was walking half-heartedly with Ron through the corridors. Earlier
on, his red-haired best friend had dragged him out of the common room to the
library for a company; Ron wanted to ask Hermione about the dance but afraid
that she would snap at him. The sigh became even more audible as Harry saw the
library door reaching their sight. They
stopped walking in front of Madam Pince’s desk, Harry looking at Ron with a
fake encouraging look while the red haired boy glanced at the green-eyed boy
nervously. After standing there for quite a while, they received a weird look
from the Librarian and Ron sighed. He had to do it. The
two Gryffindors entered the library further. After looking around, they could
find Hermione sitting behind a huge stack of books, scribbling madly on probably
her 20th parchment that night. Harry shrugged. How the girl managed
to do it without getting nuts was a mystery for him. The boy then looked at his
best pal encouragingly again and pushed him to his girlfriend. Ron
was stuttering to himself while he was walking there. He reached her without he
himself realizing before lifted his head meekly at the brunet. “Hi,
‘Mione.” Hermione
leered at her boyfriend before shrugging, signaling him that she knew he was
there. Ron sat down on the seat next to her, fidgeting his worn robe’s sleeve
nervously. “’Mione? I-I have something to a-ask you,” the Weasley
stuttered. The
brunet raised one eyebrow at the red-haired boy before she nodded slightly. Ron
fidgeted even more. “Um…” Hermione
turned at the boy. “Hurry up and tell, I still have 2 books to finish before
curfew,” she said, raising her eyebrow again. “Quick.” “Can
you…g-go to the Halloween dance with m-me?” stammered Ron meekly. The
Gryffindor genius snapped her head at her boyfriend and looked at him with
absurdity on her face. “What!? No!! I need to study more! And she might be
studying at that time as well!!” Harry,
who had been watching the scene amusedly, lifted his head to look at his female
best friend. “If you’re talking about Yura,” (Hermione sent a glare at
Harry for daring to call the Slytherin by first name. Harry could only shrugged
at Hermione’s antics) “she’s definitely going to the dance, with
Malfoy.” Now,
that statement sparked interest on both Ron and Hermione’s faces. “With that
ferret face!?” he spat disgustedly while Hermione made a different response,
“I thought Malfoy was betrothed to Parkinson?” It
was Harry’s turn to get shocked. He’d never known that the blond was
engaged. “What!?” Hermione
shot Harry a know-it-all look. “What’s what? I thought you know that
Parkinson is probably the only girl whose blood is as pure as the Malfoys.
Surely you know that those rich pureblooded families won’t want to be…what
is it? Yes, contaminated,” the brunet spat in disgust. Harry
snorted in disgust as well before looking at the girl on the eyes. “But Malfoy
doesn’t seem to like her at all.” Hermione
tsked. “Surely you’ve heard about arrange marriages, haven’t you, Harry?
Those people would do anything to keep their blood pure, even if that means they
have to marry their cousins,” the girl scowled, “and want it or not, Malfoy
*have* to oblige. I am sure Mr. Malfoy did not even love Mrs. Malfoy when they
got married – it was, is and will always be like that. Love is like rubbish
for them.” ‘Cold.
That’s what we all Slytherins share in common.’
Once again Yura’s voice trailed in the raven-haired boy’s mind. Harry
shivered from head to toe. He’d never known. He’d never known that Malfoy
had to do such a later on. So much for thinking that the blond was a spoilt boy,
his own father looked at him like he was a trash and he had to somehow kill his
feeling when he was young. It was no wonder how the boy got called Ice Prince
from the first place. Harry couldn’t help but feeling a little more than
hatred and disgust towards the boy; he felt pity, and there was a strong urge in
his heart for him to be civil at the boy, and probably help him to learn to feel
again. Ron’s
cough brought the raven-haired boy back to earth. The red-haired boy looked at
the bushy haired girl sincerely on the eyes. “So…” he trailed. Hermione
and Harry had just realized that they had just been off the main topic. The
brunet sighed as she looked longingly at the stack of books and the back at
Ron’s blue eyes. “I’ll go,” she said, “Malfoy’ll sneer at you to
death if you come without a Date,” a thin smile graced Hermione’s attractive
face as she walked to the Weasley boy, “after all, you’re my boyfriend.” Ron
looked like he was overjoyed. He leapt off and hugged Hermione. The brunet’s
eyes widened for a mere second before she smiled again and hugged him back a
brief moment before releasing, her pointing at Madam Pince with blushing face.
“Ron Weasley, we’re in the library!” she hissed. “Sorry,”
Ron grinned goofily, “but I’m so happy! Thanks, ‘Mione!” The
couple was too engulfed with themselves they seemed to forgot that the
raven-haired boy was still standing there, looking at them with a badly panged
heart. Harry could only shifted his feet and smiled a thin pathetic smile at
himself. Always remember that comfort can come from even the strangest arms… Harry
welcomed the voice with a sigh of relief. He could not trust the voice just yet,
but just hearing it made him feel even calmer than before. The Boy Who Lived
nodded at the voice. ‘Really?’ I
only want to tell you one thing, dear: Darkness and Light are a part of each
other; one cannot live without each other. Take
your dark before both you and him shatter, Save
him from the cold, piercing ice shreds, and warm him with your Light. Cold… Harry
was taken off his trance by Ron putting a hand on his shoulder. Apparently, the
green-eyed boy had been showing very clearly that he was dreaming with his eyes
opened, and his two best friends did not like it at all. Ron and Hermione looked
at him with worried in their eyes. “What’s wrong, mate?” the red haired
boy asked. “Nothing,”
Harry trailed as he faked a smile, “I’ll…go back to the common room…need
to finish Divination homework…” With that, the boy waved off and ran away
with a top speed from the library, with Madam Pince giving him a stern look
before he left. Ron and Hermione could only shrug before Hermione went back to
her studying and Ron went to take some books about Quidditch and accompanied his
girlfriend. Remember that Darkness and Light are a part of each other… ~*~ Days
passed, and before Harry even knew it, this night was going to be the Halloween
Dance. Girls were giggling, passing around the common room, looking at the
mirror every second, fussing about whether that piece of clothing suit them or
about this make up colour or about accessories, etc, etc. The boys, including
Harry, could only shrug. There were still full 3 good hours before the ceremony
and they were already fussing. The green-eyed boy was beginning to think that
the dance was not a good idea at all. Both
following Dong Eun’s footstep and couldn’t be bothered to find himself a
Date, Harry resolved into going to the Dance alone. If Malfoy saw and decided to
tease him to death about that, let it be. After all, it had been a long time
since Harry last heard the blond giving crude remark to him and the Boy Who
Lived had missed the Ice Prince’s sneering greatly. Hermione,
like every other girl, had started to make up as well – the only thing she
shared with other ordinary girls. Sitting in a corner near the portrait hole,
Harry sighed as he saw Ron fussing about his dress robe. True, the Weasleys had
brought their youngest son a new dress robe, the one without frills on the hem
of the sleeve, but it was still not that good. And right now, Ron was trying to
make all the wrinkles away and redo the slightly faded colour with Coloring
Charm. Sighing
again for no one knew how many times, the raven-haired boy decided to go out
have a little tea and probably some flying session. After all, like he was
saying, there were still 3 good hours before the dance, and Harry, being the
ignorant boy about his looks as always, would only need 15 minutes at most to
dress up. He brought his emerald coloured dress robe the Weasleys helped him
brought 2 years ago, though, just in case he flew until he forgot the time and
couldn’t go back to the tower to get it. Harry
crawled out of the portrait hole and began his walk to the Great Hall. He
gobbled some tea and biscuits there for a moment before going out to the
Quidditch pitch. Unfortunately for him, he bumped into someone. “Sorry,”
Harry drawled as he rubbed his chest slightly, the part that got the hard
contact. He then looked down and offered his hand only to be held by a small,
smooth, cold familiar hand. Yura
looked up at the person who bumped her and smiled. “Don’t be. I’m not
looking where I am going as well.” The
two fell silence for a while before the Asian smiled again and asked. “What
are you going to do, Harry?” The
boy in question smiled back. “Some flying before the ceremony,” he answered
lightly. Harry shrugged as he saw the girl frowned. “What’s wrong?” Yura
bit her lips and looked at Harry with her eyebrows furrowed. “You’re kidding
right?” Harry
was shaking his head a ‘no’ as the girl scorned even more. “You’re going
to make yourself sweat and non-presentable for the Dance!!” Harry was about to
laugh and tell the girl he couldn’t care less about his looks and he would
have taken a bath before the dance as the girl turned around and drag him away
from the Hall. The boy wanted about to protest at the action, but her infamous
shivering glare shut the Boy Who Lived’s mouth all right. It
was until they reached the all too familiar corridor of the seventh floor that
Harry stopped looking uneasy. He knew where the girl was taking him to: The Room
of Requirement. Just
as Harry thought, the girl turned around near the enormous tapestry depicting
Barnabas the Barmy’s foolish attempt to train trolls for the ballet and faced
the wall in the opposite. She then dragged Harry, who was closing his eyes, into
passing the wall three times. Once
Harry opened his eyes, he gaped at the sight of the Room. It was a huge room
with warm fireplace, a bowl of burnt marshmallows, three huge full body mirrors
that allow you to look at yourself at any angle in the corner, an accessories
kit and an enormous closet. The
Boy Who Lived was startled. Why did Yura brought him for a room like this;
watching her making up and commented for her? Harry sighed. Perhaps, Kitagawa
Yura was also a prissy underneath, like every other girl, Hermione included. Harry
was watching Yura gloomily as she reached out for a mouthful of marshmallows and
offered them to the Gryffindor, who declined politely, before devouring them
into her mouth with a smile on her face. She smiled at the boy, telling him that
marshmallows were her favorite food. The raven-haired boy nodded in
understanding and was waiting for her to start making up. Harry was startled
when it was *him* Yura had asked to sit in front of the mirror. “What
the-?” Harry was gaping like a fish. The Asian only shot him her trademark
smile. “Wait for a while,” she said before digging the closet next to him.
It was a while before she poked her head out of a bundle of clothing. “Harry,
do you have your dress robe with you right now?” The
boy only shrugged before he took out his emerald coloured dress robe and handed
it to the girl, who gasped before taking the garment to her hand. “I’d say,
nice colour. Matches your eyes,” Yura commented before setting the bundle
aside “did you buy it yourself?” The companion shook his head a ‘no’.
“Mrs. Weasley picked it for me.” The Asian only hmmed as a reply. Harry
could only watch in confusion as Yura kept on digging the bundle, putting shirts
and pants next to his dress robe, shaking her head in disappointment before
throwing them aside. She kept on doing that before stopping at a white buttoned
up long sleeved shirt that looked like it was made of silk and a pair of black
velvet pants. Kitagawa
Yura smiled at Harry as she brought the two pieces of clothing up and gave it to
him. “Try them,” she suggested. Harry gave a bewildered look at her and the
clothes in his hand before Yura gave one final glare. Harry had to shrug before
going to the dressing room across the chamber. He changed his clothes briefly
before going out again, moaning at how tight the shirt felt like. Yura
was waiting in front of the room. She scanned him all over. “Just as I
thought, the colours match,” the Asian said. Harry grunted. “Why do I have
to wear matching clothes inside? They’re going to be covered by the dress robe
anyway,” he trailed. The
girl scowled. “Believe me, Harry, the dress robe won’t stay the whole night.
This is going to be a Dance, and I assure you, it will be hot in there.” Yura
then lifted a comb, a brush and a bottle of gel before asking Harry to sit. “Look,
it’s not going to work. My hair is too untamable. Hermione’d tried a lot of
Charms on it and none of them worked,” Harry protested, only to be welcomed by
a raise of eyebrow before she glared again and forced Harry to his bottom.
“Look, Harry,” Yura was starting to put the gel on the boy’s wild raven
hair, Harry marveled at how cold the liquid was, “you’re forgetting the fact
that I have untamable raven hair like you do.” The
Boy Who Lived looked up at the girl and managed a laugh as Yura kept on applying
the gel onto his hair. It was indeed true. Yura’s hair was one to keep on
sticking out on every direction, almost Potter like. Yura shot Harry an amused
look before reaching for the comb and began combing. Harry was shocked that
instead of trying to make his hair neat, Yura pulled his hair upwards and made
them stick even more. “What are you trying to do!?” Harry shrieked. Once
again, Yura raised her eyebrow. “From experience, I know that trying to tame
your hair will be like fighting a losing battle, so instead of that,” she
pulled more and set them into a few particular directions, “I made them stick
out as if it was fashioned like that.” She flattened some parts of his hair
and left his fringe for covering his scar. It
went on for a while before Yura exhaled a breath she hadn’t realized she had
been holding and gave one last brush to the boy’s raven hair. She then asked
him to stand up and look at himself at the mirror. Harry
expected to see walking broomstick clad uncomfortably in weird clothing on the
mirror, but instead, he found quite a gorgeous boy staring back at him. The
white buttoned up silk shirt was draped finely on his skin, tight on some parts
of his body, emphasizing his boyish curves, showing his lean, lanky and
Quidditch built body, whilst the black velvet pants stuck tightly on his bottom
but a little less below, showing him a long leg he’d never thought he had and
his tight ass. His hair was still sticking up at many directions, but instead
sticking up disorderly, it was sticking up nicely, and some were sticking down
– like it was fashioned to be so. The
boy blinked. Harry couldn’t believe it was him that was on the mirror. The
Magical mirror gave a whistle and the boy blushed. Yura
smiled from behind him through the mirror before handing the boy his dress robes
to wear. Harry turned around and gave a little thanks before wearing the robe
carefully. He glanced at the mirror again, marveled on how his inner clothing
and his dress robe’s colour suit each other so well. The
brown-eyed Asian student gave another smile – not the expressionless but the
sincere one – as she was neatening the wrinkles from Harry’s robe. She then
looked up at the boy’s emerald pools. “I like dressing other people,” she
confessed as Harry was blubbering thanks and looked at her widely, “especially
beautiful people.” Harry
blushed so heavily his face could rival a ripe tomato before he coughed and
looked up at the girl. “How about yourself? I thought girls tend to be prissy
about their own appearance.” Yura
raised her eyebrow at Harry before shaking her head. “I told you, I like
dressing beautiful people. And myself is not in that category,” she said as
she took out a black long sleeved sweater with big V-neck hole and gray tank top
from the closet. The Boy Who Lived shook his head as well. “I am not
beautiful.” The
girl chuckled. “Bullshit, Harry. Look at yourself in the mirror and you’ll
see.” Harry
glanced at the mirror and sighed. Yura had made a point. He’d never thought he
could be like this, so much for having Dudley’s hand-down clothing. Yura
was taking a white miniskirt from the closet when she exhaled a heavy sigh. “I
wanted to dress Draco too, but Draco is a Fashion Master already, he needs not
my help to look gorgeous.” Harry
almost gagged at the statement. Draco? As in Draco Malfoy? Gorgeous?? Harry
wanted to shiver in disgust, but instead, imagining the blonde in tight black
buttoned up silk shirt and in leather pants that showed his slender curves
perfectly well. Harry was lost in the imaginary gorgeous Draco Malfoy before he
realized what he had been thinking and smacked himself mentally. The Boy Who
Lived sighed in frustration. He did not even know whether Malfoy was gay or not!
And Harry was sure that he was most definitely straight. Was
he? He
had to! Remember about Cho!! Harry scowled deeply. He tried to imagine the
pretty girl in tight clothing, but the image kept on drifting to a certain
Slytherin blonde with bluish silver eyes. Feeling desperate, Harry tried to
divert his mind somewhere up there in the tower, thinking about Ron’s attempt
on making his dress robe more decent. His heart fell. What was his best friend
going to say if he saw Harry like this? The
whole time Harry was thinking, the other raven haired one had changed her
clothing and was tying her black knee-length boots and clasped the opening of
her brown dress robe that matched the colour of her eyes. Her hair was tied back
with some glitter sprinkled onto it. A smile crept up her lips as she knew that
Harry must have had been thinking about a certain blonde. Yura
cleared her throat and snapped Harry off his thought. The Boy Who Lived looked
up at his companion and smiled sheepishly while Yura sighed and nudged on the
clock. “It’s almost time.” Harry’s
eyes widened as he eyed the clock. He gaped. Three hours had passed just like
that! The boy nodded as the two of them left the Room of Requirement and walked
down the corridor quietly. Yura looked up at Harry. “Mind if we go down to the
dungeon first? I need to fetch Draco. We can part if you want.” Uncomfortable
of being alone with his new looks, Harry shook his head. “I’ll go down with
you.” The
two continued their walk in silence. It was when they almost reached the
dungeons the Slytherin Ice Prince showed up, a scowl gracing his lips. Harry
had to strain himself not to gape. Draco Malfoy was more gorgeous than he had
imagined in the Room of Requirement. The blonde was clad in a gray dress robe
that glowed silvery under the light, and Harry could catch a sight of the tight
black buttoned up silk shirt underneath it, accompanied with even tighter
leather pants draped around his skin like a second skin, showing the
raven-haired boy every curve of the Slytherin’s beautiful slender legs. The
black colour made an incredible contrary to Malfoy’s pale skin. The
blonde was about to smile thinly at the sight of his Date before he caught sight
of her companion. Malfoy had to strain a gape as well. The raven-haired boy was
very gorgeous, with stunning emerald eyes and matching dress robe, fashioned
wild raven hair, body clad in white buttoned up silk shirt and long legs draped
in black velvet pants. Strange, the pale boy thought, he’d never seen him
before in Hogwarts. It was when Malfoy saw the all too familiar round shaped
spectacles that he had to gasp. It
was Harry James Potter, the Gryffindor Golden Boy. The
blonde couldn’t believe it. He wanted to scowl at himself for fawning over his
mortal archrival. He sneered at him, but as he caught a sight of the
raven-haired boy again, he couldn’t help but thought that Potter was looking
so good this night it wouldn’t hurt just to steal some occasional looks, as
long as the Boy Who Fucking Lived did not notice. Yura
chuckled at Harry’s face and the expression Malfoy was giving out before his
family mask came back on his face. The chuckle brought the Slytherin Prince out
of daze. He gave her a warning look before taking her hand. “I have been
looking for you,” he said coldly. The
Asian gave her fellow housemate an expressionless smile. “Sorry there, Draco.
I had been busy transforming Harry here. What do you think of my work?” Yura
gave an innocent look at Malfoy. Harry only shrugged. He could feel Malfoy
scanning over him up and down. Not that he did not like it…he was
just…uncomfortable. “I
shall praise you, Yura,” Malfoy snickered, “you’ve transformed walking
broomstick into something good looking like this. Of course, I am still more
gorgeous.” Harry
blinked, not believing his ears. Did Malfoy just compliment him? No, Harry shook
his head; Malfoy was complimenting Yura. But then again, the blond did say Harry
was good looking, didn’t he? The
Boy Who Lived’s thought was snapped by Yura’s chuckle. “Now, who can deny
that?” She gave a look at Harry, who took the statement with a scowl. Yura
always made a point. Just now when Malfoy was eyeing him, his body was aching to
touch the blonde. Harry screamed mentally at that. ‘Just what the heck am I
thinking???’ The
three of them started walking upstairs towards the Great Hall and parted
slightly before they reached the door. Harry looked up at the direction of
Gryffindor Tower and could make out the outlines of people coming from that way.
The boy raced towards them before the sight of his red-haired best friend
grinning a goofy smile came into his eyes. He then waved at Ron, unaware of many
girls staring at him. “Ron!” Harry
ran and stopped straight in front of the youngest son of Weasley. Slightly
panting he grinned as he scanned the dress robe up and down. “Hey, not bad,”
he commented, nudging at the dress robe. The
look in Ron’s face was priceless. The red-haired one’s mouth was gaping like
a fish, and his blue eyes were opened wide while he was scanning the Boy Who
Lived up and down. Harry raised his eyebrow and shrugged. “What’s wrong??” It
was Hermione – Harry did not know the pretty girl with sleek brown hair in
sapphire coloured dress robe was Hermione, but if she was going with Ron, she
must be Hermione – who responded at the raven-haired Gryffindor. “Oh my God,
Harry!!” The brunet went straight in front of him. “What happened to you!?
You look…fabulous…!” A
blush crept up Harry’s cheek as he realized what he was wearing.
“Oh…er…thanks,” the boy replied, and he was startled when Hermione
lifted his dress robe to take a better look at what he was wearing. He yelped
loudly before the brunet put down his robe again. She looked up at her best
friend with lots of interest. “Harry, you look…so…sexy!” (Harry blushed
very heavily at this) “How come you never tell me you have this good sense of
Fashion!? You could have helped me shopping! And your hair, oh Harry, it looks,
once in your life, great!” Harry
blushed even heavier, suddenly aware at the girls staring at him. He shifted his
look from Hermione and looked at Ron meekly. The red-haired boy seemed to have
managed to overcome his shock. He grinned at Harry. “Yeah, mate, if I knew you
have this sense, I would have asked you to help me!” The
emerald-eyed boy shrugged. “It’s not me…someone else dressed me up!” Ron
and Hermione looked at each other before looking back at Harry, “Who?” they
asked in unison. Harry
shifted around his feet, wondering what Hermione would do if she knew who had
dressed him. He opened his mouth to answer, but. “Yura, right?” someone else
had answered it for him. Harry looked at the person who had said the statement. Kim
Dong Eun The
Boy Who Lived nodded meekly. “Yeah…I accidentally bumped into her when I was
having tea…and then she dragged me and dressed me up…” he paused, ignoring
the shocked glare Hermione was giving him and looked up at the Asian Gryffindor,
who was biting his lips bitterly, “how do you know?” Dong
Eun shrugged. “She used to dress me up as well,” he admitted softly, “she
likes to dress people up, especially…” “*Beautiful*
people,” Harry shrugged, helping the Asian finish the statement. The boy then
looked at Dong Eun up and down. The new Gryffindor Chaser was wearing a
pitch-black dress robe, and Harry could see hints of dark brown shirt that
matched the Asian’s eyes and cream coloured velvet pants that fit his ass
perfectly. The black robe gave him the sensation of being a ‘dark’ person,
while the cream coloured pants gave a nice contrary to the tanned skin. For
once, Harry thought of Dong Eun as beautiful; a quick look around would tell
that the girls were fawning over Dong Eun as well (even though most of them were
fawning over Harry himself), but Harry didn’t know why, he didn’t feel the
lust he felt when he was looking at leather-clad Malfoy. For
once, Hermione changed her glare into a look of interest as she glanced at both
Dong Eun and Harry. “What, is dressing people her favorite pastime?” Dong
Eun shrugged. “Well…kind of, but she doesn’t dress any people. She dress
people that are close to her only, and usually her work are always good. For
instance, Harry here,” The Gryffindor Seeker blushed deeply again as Hermione
nodded firmly, “and she sticks with you long enough, she’ll teach you a lot
of Fashion sense…like I here,” Dong Eun continued, “I used to have so poor
a clothing sense before.” Ron
was awing. “Didn’t seem like you did,” he commented, before looking at
Harry with eyes that said ‘I want to be dressed up by her too’. Harry
shrugged before the four Gryffindors went to enter the Hall. The ceremony had
already started, and the band Weird Sisters were playing slow songs for couples
to dance to. Harry and Dong Eun, who came without a Date (though many girls were
looking at them with a look that said ‘I wish that he is my Date’) resolved
on sitting down on the tables that were set aside to leave a huge space in the
middle of the Hall and gobbled down a little food, while Ron went to ask
Hermione to dance with him. There
were lots of couples on the Dance floor. Aside from Ron and Hermione, Harry
could see Cho with Roger, Ginny with Dean, Neville with a Hufflepuff girl,
Michael with a pretty Ravenclaw girl Harry didn’t know, Millicent with Goyle
huge as ever, and there were many others. The teachers were dancing as well;
McGonagall with Dumbledore, Hagrid with the new DADA teacher Wetzel, who turned
out to be not as fun as the first lesson kept on giving theories to them Harry
was beginning to feel that the one that came up on their first lesson was under
Imperius Charm or something, Sprout with Flitwick, etc, etc. Harry kept on
looking around but found Yura and Malfoy nowhere. The
slow songs went on for roughly half an hour and the teachers kept on swapping
partners before the band started playing with hard beats, making almost everyone
(but Teachers) rocked their feet and went into the Dancing floor, dated or not.
It was the time Harry realized what Yura told him about getting hot in the end
of October night meant. The people were dancing so close, bodies clad with each
other, each discoing like mad. Ron
and Hermione soon approached them, huffing and covered in sweat. “I can’t
cope. What is it with them; dancing like they’re loonies?” the brunet
complained. Ron only shrugged as Dong Eun gave a small comment, “This is why
all the 3rd years and above were restricted.” The
four Gryffindors kept on watching the people discoing. At first, it was a
jumbled crowd, but later, some people moved aside into a circling manner and
left a huge space inside, as if letting just a few people dance in there. Harry,
whose curiosity was getting better of him, stood up and gaped at the sight. There,
in the middle of the circle was Malfoy and Yura, robe-less, doing something like
small dance moves before Malfoy reached his hand out and lifted Yura up, sort of
*threw* her upwards only for the small girl to loop and landed on perfectly
again and they did another pattern of dancing moves. Harry eyed the two of them.
Yura, whilst her body was not so bendable, was light, and thus easy to make a
jumping and flip on the air. Malfoy was so opposite; he could bend like he was
rubber, like he had no bones, and gracefully he could do that too. The
blonde’s face was passionate, soaked with some blonde locks falling down and
flushed red, Harry utterly wished to be able to ravish him that very moment
before once again smacking his mind. Everyone
watched as the song was getting harder and the two Slytherins in the center
reached out their hands; Harry could see Pansy Parkinson fuming at the very
sight as she got the circle opposite to the Gryffindor, before Malfoy once again
lifted the Asian up and she glided down as Malfoy spread his leather-clad legs
apart and let the small Slytherin slid through them, Yura stopping with a split
and another hand joint with her partner before the song stopped abruptly,
leaving a small silence behind. All the people in the Great Hall applauded,
including the Teachers and Hermione, but excluding Pansy. She was still fuming.
Harry shook his head in pity before making a quick look at Dong Eun beside him
to be welcomed by a look of…jealousy? Harry blinked. True. Jealousy had been
radiating off the Asian Chaser’s body. Malfoy
and Yura were gathering their composures back when Yura caught sight of Harry.
She smiled widely at him before reached out and dragged Malfoy, who surprisingly
did not do much complaining, along towards the four Gryffindors back to the
table they were sitting at. The Slytherin Ice Prince sat down and almost
immediately gulped down a nice, cold glass of Pumpkin Juice. Yura
herself was smiling at Ron and Hermione, her Malfoy’s dress robes in hand
before she caught a glance of Dong Eun. She turned at him and smiled. “Bad
choice of a dress robe, Dong Eun, your skin is tanned, thus does not go well
with dark colors,” she paused as Dong Eun pouted, the jealousy seemed to have
wiped off from his body, “but I daresay, nice choice of a shirt and fabulous
cream pants.” By
that time, Ron was almost jumping. “Can you dress me as well once a while?
Harry is so fabulous!!” Yura
furrowed her eyebrows and looked at the red-haired boy with dull warm brown
eyes. “I’m sorry Weasley, I don’t do commercial…” she paused, “and
thank you for complimenting me, a mere Slytherin.” The
word must have hit Ron hard, for then he silenced down. They still hadn’t call
each other with first names, and Ron had not really came in truce with the
Slytherin; he just basically played dull with her, greeting once a while only if
she greeted first, and tended to ignore her in the chat at the Quidditch Pitch.
From the faint disco light, Harry could see Malfoy smirked faintly. They
just sat in silence when the next hard song was played, and nearing the end,
Yura stood up and smiled at Malfoy. “Want one more?” she asked. The blonde
only nodded and stood up with her. Surprisingly, the Asian girl turned to Harry
and Dong Eun as well. “You too?” her eyes were twinkling faintly to Dong
Eun. Harry
was about to refuse when the Asian boy nodded and pulled Harry to his feet.
“Come on, it won’t hurt. After all, this party is supposed to be for fun.” The
Boy Who Lived cast a glance at Malfoy, who didn’t seem too offended at having
to dance with him, and nodded. “Well, Dong Eun made a point.” The two tanned
Gryffindors then took off their dress robes and set them aside next to Hermione. That
was the first time on the night Malfoy managed to get a good look on Harry’s
inner clothes. The white silk shirt was draped tightly and very finely on his
lithe body, showing his boyish curves and lanky body. A little look downwards on
the black velvet pants that showed the Gryffindor Seeker’s tight ass almost
made Malfoy’s mouth water. The Slytherin blonde had to smack himself mentally.
‘This is Bloody Saint Potter you’re lusting about, Draco and you’re a
Malfoy! Malfoys don’t lust over their enemies! And I am straight!!!’ As
the four of them walked through the crowd of bodies, many of them noticed Malfoy
and Yura going up again and gave them a way, and a while after the song started,
they had already formed a circle, leaving the space in the middle just for
Malfoy, Yura, Dong Eun and Harry. Harry
didn’t know anything to do than to move according to the music and his will.
While Malfoy let Yura did another flip in the air, Dong Eun suddenly seized
Harry’s waist and urged him on, making him did a little flip in the air he
didn’t know he could do The Asian boy grinned before dancing even more, and
Harry felt surprised at the ability of his body to bend. Of course, he used to
bend a lot during Quidditch, to avoid being hit by bludgers and some stands
while he was rushing for the Snitch, but Harry was perfectly unknown to his
ability to bend without instinct of getting danger. Soon, the crowd was not
cheering for Malfoy and Yura only, but also Dong Eun and Harry; some even made a
bet on which pair was better than the other. Harry had to cast an admired look
at the other Gryffindor on the Dance floor. Not only he was a happy-go-lucky
orphan and a great Chaser, but a good dancer too. Halfway
through the Dance, they were swapping partners, without any consent or signals
at all. But the Slytherin blonde and the Boy Who Lived seemed to be too engulfed
in the mood and did not realize the change and the roar of the crowd at the
sudden switch. Instead, Harry found himself grinding his hips with his mortal
archenemy and felt a feeling he didn’t get while he was dancing with Dong Eun
– a fantastic, ravenous, heaven feeling. He felt his dance partner moaned in
pleasure as well, making the raven-haired Seeker groaned and grinded even more. The
emerald eyed boy opened his half lidded eyes and was rather a little bit shocked
when he found a blonde mopped flushed pale face in front of him. Bluish silvers
eyes were opened wide as well and the two seemed to realize whom the two were
dancing with at that time. Harry
froze. How, had he been enjoying such a close contact with his archrival? The
person who had been trying to make his life miserable for the last 5 years? The
handsome, flushed, sexy, silk and leather-clad Slytherin in front of him? Harry
groaned at the thought, willing for it to go but instead made him shiver. Malfoy
was very much thinking the same. How, had he been enjoying such contact with
Saint Boy Who Fucking Lived By Luck, Gryffindor Golden Boy who refused his
friendship a little over 5 years ago? Whom he had been trying to make life a
hell in hope for getting the boy only to be turned down? The gorgeous, lithe,
slender, tanned and stunning emerald-eyed Gryffindor in front of him? Malfoy
groaned as he felt the other boy shivered against him, making him shiver as well
before grinding into each other again. A
few feet away from them, Yura and Dong Eun smiled to each other while dancing,
feeling proud of having the first step of their task done. The
song ended all too soon, snapping both Harry and Malfoy to reality. The two of
them froze before Malfoy went to drag Yura out of Dong Eun’s arms and said,
“I’m tired. Let’s go back to Slytherin common room.” Yura
nodded before she waved at her fellow Asian and went to get their dress robes
before getting out of the Hall and the party. “See you tomorrow, Harry!” she
greeted before Malfoy and she went out of sight, the blonde keeping his face on
his hands. ‘Stupid Draco, you did not like the contact! You hate the boy with
every fiber of your being!!’ the Ice Prince thought desperately. Love and Hate is only separated by a fragile invisible line… Malfoy
groaned at the voice. ‘I will not love Potter. Never!’ We’ll see. We will see…you’ve lost the will to sneer at him and be hostile at him…it will only be a matter of time before you like him. ‘Shut
up!!’ the blonde screamed mentally. Always remember that Light and Darkness are a part of each other… ~*~ Meanwhile,
Harry himself was not in a better situation. He was in a furious battle with his
mind. ‘I do not like Draco Malfoy. I do NOT like Draco Malfoy. It was a fling!
Hell, I do NOT like that insufferable prat!!’ Warm the soul of the cold and dark being… Harry
sighed desperately. ‘Not now please…’ he thought in frustration. That was
when a thought hit him. Malfoy
hadn’t been saying any bad thing at him at all during the dance. In fact,
Harry recalled the blonde calling him ‘good looking’, and the Slytherin Ice
Prince didn’t do anything, absolutely anything bad, said or done, to Harry
since the past 5 weeks. Malfoy was not an insufferable prat anymore. And through
a little conversation with Hermione and Yura, the Boy Who Lived had came into a
little better understanding about the blond and had had a strong will to be
civil with him. Harry
groaned. ‘God…help me from this tangle of emotion mess…’ Without
both the blond and the raven-haired soon-to-be no longer archenemies anymore
knowing, two smirks could be heard from two different directions. “Soon…” “Yes,
soon…” ~*~ End
