The Hiitachiin twins and Ohtori Kyouya made fun of him when he told Haruhi to call him him "King" In the first manga chapter. Hikaru saying "Do pardon us, your majesty!" Kaoru saying "Your in the way, royal-ness!" And Kyouya saying "Your request list is backing up, sire." |

Tamaki is half-french, half Japanese. He gets his french half from his mother, who lives in France still. His grandmother, who is the true head of the Suou family, bears a grudge againest Tamaki. The reason because his father had had an affair with his mother, and ended up divorcing his legal wife once Tamaki was born. The only reason why his grandmother acknowledges him as a Souo, is because there is no other heir to the family, but she refuses to let Tamaki live in the main house, and forbids him from any contact with his mother.
When Tamaki did live with his mother, he stayed with her and played the piano so she would feel better. He didn't go out and make friends like a normal kid would.
Tamaki holds no grudge againest his Grandmother for his feelings, instead he keeps a positive outlook on life. |

He thinks of the host club as a sort of family. Him being the "father", Kyouya being the "mother", the Hiitachiin twins as the brothers and Haruhi as the daughter. I'm not qute sure what Hunny and Mori are though. |
