She started paying off her debt by joining the host club as a member, needing 100 requests at first, but it's then raised to 1000 for making them "lose a regular." It took quite awhile for the "king" of the host club to figure out Haruhi was a girl. In the anime, it's because he walks in on her changing, seeing her in the tanktop she was wearing under her shirt. In the manga, he finds out because she dropped her middle school student ID. |
