HOMEWORK TIPS

When you get home, do you forget what you have to do for school?

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

  1. Write down all of your homework assignments in your AGENDA.
  2. Take home the textbook(s)you will need to use for your homework assignments. Also, take home your red folder because it will have important papers in it. Double-check that you have everything before you leave school.
  3. Complete your assignments at home.
  4. Show your finished homework to your parents and ask them to please sign your AGENDA.
  5. Put your finished work in your red folder and place it in your AGENDA. Put your AGENDA and red folder into your bag RIGHT AWAY so that you do not leave it at home.
  6. Hand in your homework on time!

Try Saying This:

"I'll try to turn my homework in better from now on."
"I'll try to keep my homework organized."

REMEMBER...BEING ORGANIZED IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR HOMEWORK!

MAKE-UP WORK

In the event that you are absent from school, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed. This includes all work covered in class, plus homework assignments. The rule is that you have as many days as you were absent to complete MAKE-UP WORK. Please turn in all written make-up work as one package.

SKILLS TO SUCCEED

SKILLS TO SUCCEED are skills designed to help you to be the learner and student you know you can be. You will learn how to use these skills within the classroom and your everyday life. Demonstrating the use of these skills are intended to help you to keep a positive attitude about school and your school work. These skills are intended to help you to enhance your "independent" and "cooperative" learning and participation in the classroom as a whole. The following list of skills along with explanations of the skills that we will be learning about and demonstrating in class are as follows:
