| When Anakin Skywalker was grievously wounded after attacking his Master, Ben Kenobi, he was destroyed. Or at least, his spirit and all that had been good about the young Jedi was...from a certain point of view. Anakin sustained terrible injuries, and it was only through the dark side of the Force that he managed to stay alive. He renounced the Jedi Order, and became an agent of evil. Emperor Palpatine found the young man, and created a suit of armour which would enable him to stay alive...but entombed in an armour- ed iron lung for life. Palpatine made Anakin his apprentice, and a new name was chosen to reflect his status as a Sith Lord. Darth Vader was born. Vader constructed a new, red lightsaber to replace his blue-bladedJedi weapon, now in the possession of Ben Kenobi. Vader's bionic suit became infamous across the galaxy, though few knew who Vader had once been. Even less knew that Vader had two children...including Vader himself. They were safely hidden away while Vader carried out his Master's bidding. |
