| On Tatooine, Qui-Gon told Anakin that it was a hard life as a Jedi Knight, and during his missions with Obi-Wan, he realised just how tough it was. The Masters at the Jedi Temple found the boy reckless and headstrong...and dangerous at times. When he wasn't modifying the Temple's droids or playing pranks on his Master, Anakin was off doing what he loved to do back on Tatooine: race - be it a suoped-up podracer or in a dangerous garbage pit contest. Though a lot of his time was spent on Coruscant, training at the Temple, Anakin was allowed on missions with his Master. One of his first found he and Obi-Wan on the mysterious Zonama Sekot, where Anakin learned about the planet's unique starship manufacture. He even got a ship of his own, Jabitha, but the living vessel died soon after. It was on Zonama Sekot that Anakin felt the power of the dark side. He was challenged by a Blood Carver assassin named Ke Daiv. Anakin killed him with his bare hands. Though he did not have a lightsaber at that time, he constructed one when he and Obi-Wan travelled to Ilum to commune with the Force. He put his lightsaber to use shortly thereafter, when he killed pirate named Krayn, who captured the young Jedi and put him to work in a spice processing facility. As he grew older, Anakin was given more missions with Obi-Wan, but he had not yet been assigned one on his own. On one mission, he and Obi-Wan teamed up with Luminara Unduli and her padawan, to resolve a dispute on Ansion. However, on the way there, Anakin began having nightmares about his mother. She was in pain, yet he did not know whether they were merely bad dreams...or urgent messages through the Force. |
