Built after his election, the great Republic Executive Building served as Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's office during his time as leader of the Republic
Located near to the Senate chamber in the govermental district of Coruscant, the Executive Building was a large dome-like structure surrounded by office towers and senatorial residences. Huge semi-panoramic windows looked out over the city, reminding senators that their decisions would have wide repercussions. Palpatine's red-hued office was situated within the building, and held many important meetings during his time as Chancellor; Palpatine's loyalist committee would convene in the room, and senior members of the Jedi Council often discussed events with the Chancellor there.
Palpatine usually reclined in a seat of office that included a secret shield generator at the base, after public fears for his safety. His desk faced the door, which was flanked by two of his red-robed guards. When discussions were held there, chairs were arranged in the office, but a holoprojector was also a feature of the room. Palpatine adorned his office with various statues kept from his days as a senator. |
