As far back as I can remember, this has been one of my personal favourites. A HUGE thank you goes out to my lovely girlfriend, Christy Barringer, for buying this DVD for me. I have wanted it for so long, and I now have it.
After watching the film again, I decided to give it three and a half stars. Is it still one of my favourites? Absolutely. I love this film just as much, if not more so, as I did when I was a kid. However, let's face it, Charlton Heston running around with a woman who comes right out of the blaxploitation films of the '70s killing zombies isn't, exactly, top-rate filmmaking. Of course, the blaxploitation feel of this film does make it work all the more. All in all, this is a film that you can thoroughly enjoy. Don't expect to see a great film--just one you can watch over and over and over.
