For some reason, many people like this film more than its predecessor, The Evil Dead. I am not one of them. This film is nothing but a comedic remake, which was totally unnecessary. Sure, it is hilarious, and it's not a bad film. I just don't think it stands up to the original. Followed up by Army of Darkness.
