How, pray tell, did The Evil Dead go from one of the bloodiest, goriest, most mind-blowing horror films to this--a comedy about time travel and an army of skeletons? This is a mildly entertaining little yarn with a couple of genuinely funny moments and great costumes and sets. Otherwise, stick with the first film in the series. It is, by far, the best. As for the different endings, don't ask me which one I think is better. They each have their good and bad traits.
