THE DANGEROUS LIVES OF
ALTAR BOYS

2002 ***1/2 105 mins.

Although this film is pretty predictable, heavy-handed, and hard to believe at times, it is still a rather entertaining film. The story-telling method is very well conceived, entertwining the live action story with an animated story, and the acting is top-notch. As I stated previously, parts of the story are predictable and hard to believe. The story centers around a group of kids who steal their school's statue and plan to unleash a live cougar in their teacher's office. You can draw your own conclusions from that.
Rated R for language, sexual content, and youth substance abuse.
