The Cast
 Christina Ricci as Kat Harvey:
Kat (short for Kathy) is the daughter of Dr. Harvey who just wants to stay in one place
instead of traveling all over the US with her dad on ghost hunts. She soon finds
friendship once she moves into the Whipstaff Manor, however.

Pullman as Dr. James Harvey:
Dr. Harvey used to be a psychiatrist, but he moved on to "after-life therapy"
after the death of his wife, Amelia. He travels all over the country with his daughter,
Kat, helping ghosts "move-on" and eventually ends up at the Whipstaff Manor in
Friendship, Maine.

Idle as Dibs:
Being the "right-hand-man" of Carrigan proves to be a difficult job, but Dibs
looks like he can take it. He is always with Carrigan as she plans her next move on
getting the ghosts out of the house, but may not be able to take her insults forever...
 Cathy
Moriarty as Carrigan Crittenden:
Her father has just died and left her an inheritance, but not one she hoped for. Instead
of riches, she got the condemned Whipstaff Manor. Before she completely dismissed the idea
of keeping the property, however, she discovers that there is a treasure in the mansion.
She also soon discovers that there ghosts haunting the Manor which won't be giving up the
property any time soon.
 Devon Sawa as Human Casper:
This is the Casper we see on film, but only for a brief time. As a result of good judgement by Casper, he gets to be real for the night until 10:00, when he changes back into a ghost.
 Malachi
Pearson as the voice of Casper:
For having the biggest part in the movie, we never see his face. Instead, we see the
fun-loving ghost, Casper! I don't need much of an explanation for Casper since he is the
ghost that needs no introduction.
