I know it's been a while since i last updated, but i've been busy. The team records have finally been posted (not the meters records yet...sorry). Long Course season has started and couple meets have gone by. The Kansas and FAST meets are comming up on June 25-27. Meet info is avaliable w/ the coaches (ask Rob about Kansas). I'll figure out the dates of the upcomming summer meets and post them, but if you have questions right now just ask a coach. Kristen and Maddie went to the Janet Evans Meet on the weekend of June 10 and did well. They were close to their best times and are excited to swim in that pool for Olympic Trials, which starts on July 7. In the meantime check out the team records!

I'm gonna start showing when and how I update the site in this box at the top to make it easy to see if you've missed anything new. I posted some of the meet info for all the meets I have qual times for in the Time Standards page (I'll get a list of the summer meets RACE will be attending and post it asap). I've added a coaching philosophy written by my coaches so now you know have an idea of how we train! If you wanna check out the pics again I think that they are all working now...oh and I organized them and added captions. I'm still looking for some input about new links and things i can add to the site don't hesitate to e-mail suggestions to [email protected]

Before April

Well I've been working on this site a TON and there are some awesome pics of our team (some are REALLY old....but they're great pics) so check out "The Team" link to get them. I'm researching the rules of all the meets I have qual times for (under "Meet/Time Standards" link) so hopefully I'll have the rules posted soon. It's the end of the spring season, so we all had our big shave and taper (or rest) meet. RACE did awesome!!! At the Loveland meet (for the people too old to attend Age Group State in the spring) we had great swims. Everyone who tapered for that meet went a best time (if not multiple).....I'll talk to the participants before getting into greater detail. Age Group State was also a kick-butt meet. There were a TON of awesome swims, but a couple of the outstanding ones were made by Elizabeth (Bits) and Sophie. Both girls are in eigth grade and were SOOO close to making their sectional cuts. Sophie was just a couple of tenths away in her 100 fly (in my opinion one of the hardest events to get a cut in) and Bits was close in her 50 and 100 freestyle (she also did well in the breaststroke). Sectionals was an amazing meet for RACE this year. Five boys (Kenny, Kevin, Jared, Greg, and Chris) and three girls (Kirstin, Maddie, and Kristen) attended. The boys swam five relays (yikes!) and placed in the top 16 in ALL of them. Individually the guys did fabulous as well. Kenny went several best times (he gets to swim all the fun distance events). Kevin, Jared, and Chris also had some nice time drops in their events. Greg made the consolation (top 16) heat in the 100 back (Jared made the bonus (top 24) heat). Kirstin dropped time in her 100 and went the sectional cut. Maddie and Kristen both made one national cut and one Olympic Trial cut, so they'll be in Long Beach in July. Kristen made her national cut in the 100 butterfly and her Olympic Trial cut in the 100 backstroke. Maddie made her National cut in the 100 freestyle and her Olypic Trial cut (with an AMAZING swim and huge time drop) in the 50 freestyle. Maddie won both the 100 and 50 freestyle. RallySport had some gnarly accomplishments this season and it's thanks to coaches Grant and Rob who have supported the team and always made time for their swimmers, and the RallySport club and staff who have always been generous and accommodating. They've kept us in line and always do everything they can to help us improve. Thank you guys!
