Check out my Xanga Journal for funny stuff that i used to do here. Well nto so funny, but ... well.. shutup and go here, or go elsewhere don't bitch, thats my job.
February 2003 is here!!
And i'm doing something new with this thing. More of a storage space now, lol. With like personal stuff outside of journal stuff. Since i have a journal at Xanga now. [see above]
So I've read on a couple of people's pages and such, that they kind of have a personal biography of themselves. Well here's my attempt to do so.
Well my name is.. David, well most people call me Krcil, pronounced more like "Ker-chel", don't ask me, I didn't ask to be bohemian, or to the laymen, Czechoslovakian. Umm I play trumpet, trombone, sax, baritone/euphonium, keyboards and a little guitar, and I kinda can sing Bass. And now most recently Flute and Clarinet, thanks to Woodwind Methods class, and Im learning Oboe and bassoon now.
I graduated from good ol McGuffey high school from Claysville, Pa. in 2001. WOO!! I then went to Ohio Northern University as a Music Education Major. This school sucked my left nut, so I transferred to where I now attend Drake University, still as a Music Education focus on trumpet.
I started playing trumpet in 5th grade, but my brother had me hooked on it when I was in 3rd grade. So I knew what I wanted to play when I was given the change to choose. I was 1st trumpet all the way through 8th grade, then was downgraded to 2nd. But that happens when you have a class of 33 players that are all good, and 3 really good trumpet players. So in a trumpet line of very few, we didn't need 4 1st trumpets. So there I was. I learned Trombone after my sophomore year to replace those that would be graduating. So from junior year on I played Trombone and Euphonium in the bands at McG. But I was able to continue Trumpet in jazz band, thank god.
Jazz is my favorite music, to play and listen to. I was in the high school jazz band when I was in 8th grade. I was on 4th trumpet 8th and 9th grade. Then I was on 2nd so I could play all the solos., hehe. I still play jazz and was considering minoring in Jazz performance here at Drake, but I cant fit the classes in and keep up my GPA to graduate on time. I now play lead trumpet in the Jazz Ensemble 2 here at Drake. Its fun, and I still love playing everything.
I have 2 siblings, Mike and Jenny. Mike is 25 now and living in Chicago, working a Dilbert job, as he calls it. Hes an aspiring actor, and film producer and actor. Hes quite good, but hes gotta get his head into and probably do what he doesnt want to do, work waiting tables in Hollywood or something. Jenny is an idiot, but she could do so much. I have no idea what she plans to do, shes 18 now. Just about to graduate and will prolly attend WVU. My Mom and Dad are weird. Dad is retired and causing my mom to go farther insane. But theyre my parents, gotta love them I guess.
Well I think Ive covered everything but my drum corps career. WOOHOO YAY FOR DRUM CORPS!! J I play lead soprano for the Marion Glory Cadets. YAY!! And Im gonna age out this year as my 2nd year with them and in my career. It saddens me. But its time for me to get some stuff on my resume before I graduate in 2 years.
I think I covered everything now. I think I covered almost everything. Well now that I think about it I havent. But its all Im doing now. Ill add stuff like who all my friends and stuff are, and more stuff as it comes to my mind. Signing off, Im David Krcil.
