not much to update with. I'm tired, and i'm almos done with shitty ONU. 25 days left and i'll be home. WOOHOO. Go Pirates. And umm.. WOOHOO, i'm almost done. Then i get to work like mad, then DRUM CORPS!! FUCKIN A--!!.. hellz yeah. To say I'm psyched is an understatement. I get hang out and party with sheena, bubba, maybe a few others. and work alot, them i'm off for drum corps. This is too good to be true.
On a side note, Bubba and Steph broke, and she has a BF already. Thats not right, that's not right at all. Again bubba was screwed, i feel so bad. Asshole women. Anywho, i'm done, msg/email me and talk to me, you can find out alot more that way than on here. TTFN!!

Well here i am. Sitting in my room after a kick ass Recital. Not mine yet, but the other people's. They was good. Very. Yesterday i got in the mail a letter from Drake Music Dept. Saying I have been awarded $4,000 in scholarship funds just to be enrolled in Band, Orchestra and Jazz band. Thats all. Things i'd do anyway. This is Sweet. And this is outside of any possible academic or otehr financial aid i may recieve. This kicks so much ass. I'm happy as you can tell. Drum Corps is goin great. Everything is lined up to go to Drake next year. All I gotta do is send in the stuff i have to them, accepting it all. And then call and register for classes. But i'm gonna wait till at least next week to do so. Well i think thats about all. Its all good. Life = Good. Buh!!

Well not much going on. I really want this weekend to be a camp weekend though. lol. I updated my friends pic link. check it out. I had fun week, for some reason. Even though its retarded here. Classes are just dragging like mad. I still got 2 mero days till the weekend. I got a new AIM name, soprano8201 for when i'm in a computer lab somewhere, so i don't knock me off of my current one on my puter in my room. Well thats about all i got. Well i'm watching southpark. Funny show, you should watch it sometime. Anywho, still no puter. Its still gone. The soprano trombone is fun as hell though. I practice alot now. Even more than normal for me. :-P Well i'm bored. Have homework to do. But i hopped on my roomates laptop to check mail and figured i should update. Yeah, so break was pretty nice. I got nice cards from my family. I relaxed. I'm gonna shoot some guns with my dad tomorrow before i leave to go back to hell, i mean ONU. Anywho, i'm driving my own ass back to college tomorrow.MY trumpet i bought on Ebay from India came in on saturday. I spent 2 hours fixing it, but i can resell it no problem now, it plays pretty cool. Maybe Best-buy will call saying that my puter is done and i can pick it up. And even better. Maybe UPS will deilver my new Slide Trumpet tomorrow. It says expected delivery date 4-1-02 WOOHOO. I hope it comes b4 i really have to be going. I so hope it'll be here. I'll be so happy, you have no idea... *no wait... *. Anywho, thats all. I had a nice break, and i may be going back to ONU with my new Slide trumpet and my maybe get to pick up my puter too. That would make tomorrow the best day. TTYL people!!

Ok, so my puter is still gone. I'm on my roomate's puter now. Laptops are a pain in the ass. ANywho, Classes were cancelled today!! WOOHOO, i was so happy, you know no idea. I sat around and did absolutly nothing all day, till i went to go practice at dinner time, then went over to Amy's. We worked on a storyboard script for the sequel to a "movie" we watched in theory that i mentioned in last update. Its all was good today. No class, and nothing to do, i watched movies, tapes, and listen to music. I was happy. 2 days an i go home for Easter. woohoo. well i'll talk to y'all later..

OK, so here I am on the Computers in the Lab in Presser. CHecking my mail because my computer had to be sent in. FUCK. That pissed me off. ANywho, it'll be ok. I don't have anything really too important to do on it. Its just annoying. And now this weekend, i got nothing to do, and no puter to mess on. I'll have to sit in the lab all weekend, or watch TV, or VHS movies. uggghh.. Well anywho, this morning in Theory was fuckin hilarious. WE watched a video that old students of her's made. It was the funniest thing i've seen in a long time. ASk me about it sometime, its not really something to write down on here. But trust me, its worth the inquery. TTYL people...

So my computer died yesterday. Pissed me off royally. I called the 1-800 number and the dude was fairly sure what it was. He said it was the video card. Hence why i worked a couple more times after it initially died. He had me test things to make sure it wasn't the monitor or anything. SO i did and he detirmined thats what it was. So took it in today, just to find out that BestBuy isn't authorized to repair Compaqs. So i had to send it in. 8-10 business days. fucking shit. but he said its been taking alot less than that latly. Maybe it'll be done before i go home, but it should be done by time i come back. Well thats about all i feel like updating.. ttyl.

So here i made it back from Kansas City. Went to Kansas City Missouri for Drum Corps Recruitment camp. Spent aloty of money of gas to get there. And the whole trip was for Not. Fucking school that was holding it, changed plans, due to a Wrastlin tourney they forgot about. Then they proceeded not to tell us about the change till we started arriving on Saturday. And for some reason people started showing up early, and were told by an asshole in a yellow shirt, to go to any school but the one it was changed to. He was just taking guesses at where to send everyone. He knew nothing and should have said so. So 3 people showed up to the camp, after we figured out where to go. 3 percussionists, no horns. That sucks so bad. NOT GOOD. But we're gonna try somthing else and start begging places. I don't know what is left. Well anywho, i didn't get much sleep in the last 3 days. Thursday i was up till 5:30 in the morning, and didn't sleep at all Friday night. Got and hour sleep in a parking lot saturday morning. Which was funny.
WE got to the schoola t like 6:30 in the morning, and pulled up to the parking lot in back and went to sleep. Mike got out and got his sleeping bag and slept on the roof of his car. Amanda slept in the drivers seat, chicken Wing slept in the passenger, and i layed in the back with my sleeping bag. Well we all got to sleep like simultaneously. We also all woke up about the same time, to find ourselves surounded by Cars and people walking around for the wrastlin tourney. We were like, opps, and wow, how did we sleep through this. Especially Mike who was outside on top of the car. It was funny. People gave us weird looks as we were waking up. LOL
Well anyone, that hour or so of sleep and the 2 hours i got in the afternoon on the gym floor. Was all the sleep i got till hopefully tonite, i couldn't sleep this afternoon, i'm too pissed i guess. But i should pass out tonite. Well nighty night people, i am tired. so sleepy time now *snore*

Mmmkay, so i got back from Drum Corps this weekend on sunday. Very good weekend. Except I got alittle sick again during the weekend. But I still had fun. There were a few new people. There was a new horn player, amanda. She's trying out for Dm, but if she doens't make it, i think she'll stay on horn. She was fun, and was a kick ass Soprano player. This weekend is the camp in Kansas City. There is supposedly alot of new people gonna be there. And there is a possibilty for having enough horns to makybe move into Div II. But they will only consider doin so if there are ALOT into Div II. If there are only enough to have like 3-40 horns, then they'll cut from the nwe people there. But if there are 60 players then we'll keep them all and move into Division II. We idealistically want 30 max horns for Div III competition. But we'd like to have a total of at least 20 after this camp. But we'll have to wait and see who actually shows up this weekend. It should be fun, i'm bringing my Video Camera just in case, hehe. And i get to bring my truck up with me maybe. Jenny is buying her own, and if i can get a place to park it, i'll bringing it back up with me after Easter Break. YAY!! Woohoo, I can't wait. Another long day at college. Still boring, and i still have no life. I dont' know what i'm going to do. Class is going ok though. I had the flu, i'm finally over it. Now its just a bad cold. Why do they always turn into colds? Bastards... Anywho, i ran out of things to say, i just felt like updating this to have something to do. But now i'm done, so back to banging my head against a wall or something else productive.

Well I haven't updated in awhile. Not much has changed. I enjoyed my entire 5-day field experience. Nothing too memorable to have to right down here. It was over-all just fun. Saturday we had Alumni jazz practice. It went well, even with only TL, jack, heath, and me. but we got shit cleaned up, that was the mojority of the brass. So that stuff got good, we played it all to my keyboard rhythms. We also jammed realy quick. Jack is gonna start having practices as much as possible with them while i'm still her, so that possibly it'll be good for piek festival. I think we should have a rehearal for over eastoer break, just one, for like an hour or 2, but with everyone present hopefully. So we can run through our 8 or so songs and see what it'll be like. But we'll just have to wait.
Mike got back from Singers tour today, he's not going to continue attending here, he's transfering for 1 quarter to Wright state, about an hour from here.. isn't that some shit? its cheaper for him to live here, and commute there for 1 quarter. So trombone ensemble is dead prolly, but i think i'm gonna try to have a trumpet quartet or quintet. TRY being the key word here. I'm gonna ask Ed if he has any easy music for it. i think it become pretty neat. Or be a complete failure, either way, it doesn't bother me, i'm not here next year, so i can embarass myself all I want. The others would be mad, but screw em, I just gotta find 3-4 other people that want to do it. I'll get back to you on that.
At the moment, from those damn kids while teaching, i have the Flu.. not cool. I'm like super sick. but i'm starting to get alittle better. I should be better in a few days. It can't get worse, and i think its getting alittle better. well thats about all i got to say for now. I'll update again at a later time. ttfn

HEre I am, halfway through my 5-day field experience at good ol` McGuffey. Its going pretty cool. Hartzel is amazing. I actually can see myself as a elemtary or middle school director. I stll prefer to have the high school, but i could do those as well. Anywho, its going pretty good. I've having fun, but i'm tired as hell. I don't do anything much after school. I haven't even practiced much, and I need to start practicing trumpet and piano again. I'm gonna be backed up when I get back to school, and they all will be mad if I came back and i'm back up from where I left off. But anywho, I was gonna add alot, but i'm not in the mood. Just felt like adding that i'm alive at home during my spring break, not working at Kings, fuckers. But the 5-day is going well. I've watched a few movies at home, might be goin out saturday or friday night with friends to a movie. Good times. Yah, saturday is the jam-fest, AKA alumni band practice. Should be good. Anywho, i'm bored, I'm following Mrs. Minter to her middle/high school classes tomorrow so i can do somthing different for once this week. All of her's and Hartzel's classes are exactly the same all week, because they have different classes everyday of the week. So its the same thign everyday, so i'm not doin anything new, but going to middle/high school with her tomorrrow ill be good. well ttfn people, send me some mail or something, give me a call whateva, i'm bored. Well i'm about ready to pack my stuff. And head home. Still havent' worked out a few things that recently happened. But there are other things on my mind and the mind of others that is alittle more important right now. But anywho, I'm going home. and i passed all my finals believe. I think I did really well on my theory finals. But i'll have to check on those grades later. Whelp i think thats all i have to say. Goin home, leaving this hell-hole. Gonna work alot. Jam alot, hang with family and friends as much as I can. And maybe do somthing worth while ;) Whelp i know there was somthing i wanted to say, but i forget now. Yehaaww!! Nothing special i just felt like opening today with a good old fashioned Yehaaw. It's been awhile. Anywho, i'm sitting listening to Music, and talking with Kirsten and i just finished watching Shrek. Its almsot 9:30 now and
Nichole is supposed to come say bye, again, like yesterday, she still hasn't left, she decided to skip all her classes today. Which isn't like her, but i guess i don't know her as well as i thought. :-( anywho, off of that for now. I found out today the Ben isnt' gonna be here all week, and maybe rest of the year. So I had no piano player for my jury. I was screwed. Well AMy was using him too, and Rosey offered to do it for her, and then offered me, and tomorrow i get to get up earlier, than planned for finals week, and try to find the piano music out of ben's locker. So as long as i find the music I got a piano player, a kick ass one, Rosey Williams. YAH!! So i'm doin good on that front, tomorrow i'm gonna study for music 100 final. Yes i'm gonna study. Then also i'm gonna practice for my Ear Training Final Test, also on wednesday, which is also when my Jury is. Wednesday is gonna be a busy day. Final at 10, jury at 3, test at 3:45. wow. Thursday is Piano profieceny, i'll do fine I think, and friday is Theory final, I know i'll do fine on that, maybe i'll study or at least maybe help someone else study for it. Well I think i'm done writing. 3 DAYS TILL SPRING BREAK FOR ME!! WWEEEEEEEEEEE. speaking of which go here to watch a really funny "WWEEEEEEE" Its pretty funny somtimes, and if your in a "happy" condition its even funnier, or so i hear. TTYL people.

well i got saturday at about 8 pm.. there abouts, give or take 10 minutes. It was a great trip. Road trips are always cool. We only got pulled over twice. None while I was driving. but anywho. The first time, we're pretty sure we were pulled over not becuase we were speeding, becuase mike is pretty sure he wasn't speeding. They didn't talk to much about how fast they thought we were going. The officer got to us and said the usual, then was checking his license and over his radio they called back confirming the license plate matching his family ID. So we're pretty sure they thought it was a stolen car or a car involved in a crime or somthing, cuz for like 5 miles b4 that we saw like 15 cop cars all over the place. So they must have been looking for somthing. That was on the way to Drake, the last one was about 5 minutes from being home, or back in hell as we refer to it. Well Mike was doin like 86 in a 55 zone, and we got pulled over. And somehow with his own charm of some-sort was talking to the officer and found out he was teaching his daughter trombone first quarter this year, and then the officer said well if you were doin 81 i'd have to give you a 86 dollar fine.. well it went done on paper as him clocked at 81. Lucky ass bastard.
So my audition went really well. It went from playing my first few measures to him stopping me and saying, "ok thats good, it doesn't matter how the rest goes. The rest could go either way. now play alittle of your other peice" I started to play and he stopped me. "Ok now, what trumpet players do you listen to?" I said, ferguson, faddis, miles, baker, gillespie, doc.. "ok, Doc, thats good. now start over and play this song like Doc would" It was a jazzy style piece called Portrait of a trumpet by Sammy Nestico. And i played it really loud and full and only played about 8 measures and he stopped and said "that was great.... now play this high section over here the same. " i tried. But i made a mistakes, then went back and played the right notes but not as loud. "ok ok, stop now, go back and do it better, you got the notes that second time, but fuck the notes, i want the sound. With enough practice anyone can get the right notes, not everyone can get the sound or feelings. And i know now you can get the sound and feelings, so play it like that, dont' worry about the notes, they'll come" so I thought, think like doc, doc doc doc... and i played it as full as I could. It went much better. And thats how the rest of the lesson went, i mean audition. :-D I sight read things with him. some stuff i had that he hadn't played and we played it together, etc. And the last thing he said was "can't wait to have you here next year" So that means I was pretty much accepted to the department. Now I just gotta worry about getting into the school. Well if somehow i'm not accepted into the school, i'm still going out and i'll just work my ass off at a job and make some money till I get accepted. So thats the plan. I can't to get out there. He also mentioned, "So you and mike are friends, huh?.. so that means you like to 'party', if you catch my drift..." ..."I've been known to, umm, fall unconsciencly asleep on his floor a few times... a week... haha, its not that bad. but yes I on ocasion do 'party'" .."thats good to know, we'll get alone very good then man, the rehearsals in the building get pretty wild sometimes". its so cool the school gave the Jazz Dept thier own friggin building. Only Andrew Classen, and other jazz prof. and students in the jazz program have keys to it. Its hella-mess, which makes it an ideal jazz building. It was so friggin neat. I can't wait to go there.
We stopped at the offical store for WOODWINDS AND BRASSWINDS.com. That was very COOL. I bought some toys for cleaning my trumpet. Which I cleaned tonite. Fully cleaned it. And new valve oil. Good shit, "space filler" its 2oz for 3.50. but its like 'liquid Swartz' man. good shit. I almost bought a silent brass system, the old system is listed at $110, they were out of them, the new system is $199 they very much weren't out, but that was too much, so i didn't buy it. But i'm prolly gonna order the old system online from them, as well as buy 2 moth peices. Removable cup mouthpieces. 3c cup, nice symphonic cup, and a 1.25 mx cup, killer jazz cup. Both connected to a very open shank. It'll be nice. But those will cost me over a hundred bucks. And then add the silent brass, i think I can talk my mom into buy some of it for me. And mom if you read this, hopefully i've talked to you b4 you read this. :-D Anywho, i had a good time. The weekend should be ending really nice too. I should be getting a famous Nichole backrub tomorrow. Well its famous to people that know her at least. hehe, i wonder if Mike knows the full extent, i'll have to ask her tomorrow. Well i'm tired as fuck now, i've been typing for about an hour now, on and off of course. i started at 1:38 and its now 2:37, so its time to go to bed. TTFN

Ok, i'm here again. Talking to Nichole, listening to some kick ass music. My own rock, and her hippy music. Its fucking cool. She's still sick :-( not cool. But there isn't much i can do. Sux ass. Anywho, i'm bored, Not badn yesterday or today. i've been so happy. I need to go practice for a few hours today still though. I got my audition at Drake on Friday i need to be keeping and pushing endurance up. But i think i'll survive. Hopefully. Anywho, blah blah, i got nothign to talk about today, then why am i updating. Nichole is comming up Thursday and we leave after concerts. ummmm, blah blah blah. Music is cool. I gotta write a few more emails today about a few things. I called good ol Mcg and they have to mail me a form then i mail it back, and then they mail Drake my transcripts. blahbitty blah. Dirty Dozen Brass band is cool. I'm gonna add a picture of me and Nichole at a party a few weeks ago, we was pretty "happy".. hehe, Look for it up above. TTFN

Well, i'm back from Wind Ensemble concert, and Drum Corp Weekend. OH MY GOD am i fucking sore. Mike Grimes, aka the nicest asshole you'll ever meet. Is an marine, and he is the marching dril sargeant type dude. He's not on staff this year, he's working for Capital Regiment. But he's helping us out at as many camps as he can come to. He's very strict but he knows how to ge us to march and listen and be good. And he can do it better than all of us, unless some of the other instructors that know how, but can't do it anymore. He told us soem funny stories and the most disgusting story in the world too. But it was all cool. I'm so sore its not even funny. he did 8s and 8s for like 30 minutes straight, and that was also after 200 of step-up basics, just learning it one step at a time. I was about to cry from the pain my feet were in. Right now they are still numb so they dont' hurt that bad, but as the numbness disapates, the pain will set in. There is more, but i'm done writing about it now.
The Wind Ensemble performance on thursday went really well. Carnival of Venice went extremly well. Mike Hanna (trumpet soloist) got like an instant standing Ovation from the crowd and then us, the band. I mean the final wasn't even done and the crowd went nuts. It was very nice. The rest of the songs went as well as I could have expected and hoped them to. Other than that and Drum Corp this weekend, i've done absolutly nothing. Talk to y'all later.
