So like, somehow 10 people visited my page here on one day, and that day being thursday. what the hell? i've never had that many hits on one day. Anywho, Corps weekend was the bomb! I had to much fun. I'm still sore beyond belief. But i had so much fun, and i got to take the soprano home with me. Its such a pretty horn. I love it, I love Drum and Bugle Corps!! It fucking rules. Why didn't I do this before now?, oh yeah, becuase I didn't know how and my parents wouldn't have let me anyway. Anywho, being in college rules, i'm getting to do things for myself and make choices that are gonna effect the rest of my life. But I believe i'm making good choices. I mean, i do need to work, but i believe as a music major doin several years of drum corps and maintaining grades and doin well in such while in college would look good to an school that may hire me. I'll be working during the school year though as Drake, which where i hope to be in august/september. Yehaw. It'll be me, Nichole amd Mike. Maybe 1 or 2 other people. But we'd like 4 other people and get this house he checked out. 6 bedroom, and the works. Furnished basement, made for parties and such. tee hee. and an attic he thinks we should make into a studio for practicing and rehearsal any possible combos we make. Fucking Aye!! yehaww.. i can't wait. Well just remember DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS IS COOL. And Marion Glory Cadets are gonna beat every Div III this year, and maybe most Div II. Howdy Howdy. Hows it going people. Well i'm here at college. I'm happy. Its not much better than home, but it is better. But at least I have some things to do here, other than stay up all night on the phone, which was fun. But anywho, i'm now sitting here waiting for a return call from Drake. I called them about transfer stuff. I just needed to ask a few questions. I'm gonna call back in like 30 minutes if i don't get a call back. I left voicemail. DRUM CORPS weekend this weekend. YAHOO!. i can't wait. Anybody reading this want to do Corps? Marion Glory Cadets is looking for Horn players like mad. Few a holes in Drum line are still open. And guard could use a few good people. Guys and girls are allowed to try out for anything. Even if you don't play any brass, they'll teach you how. So if you wanted to but don't play trumpet, baritone, trombone, tuba, french horn, ect yous till can, they will gladly teach anyone, that has the will to learn, to play a horn. Just contact me @ [email protected] , tell other people you know that were interested in about this. It'll be a great season. We are so gonna take 1st place. The horn staff guy said this year he can already tell will be better than last year, and they got 4th at DCI finals. there isn't much better but to get first place. So come one, come all. SO here it is, year 2002. Wow, just as boring. Its been awhile since i've updated, sorry. I got some cool stuff for Christmas. It was nice, but i'm ready to go back now. Well i'm in a much better mood. A few things were answered. i feel better. Still no chance for having a gf. but i'm ok. But a few other things i found upset me alittle, about someone that is taken and i didn't know about, but its ok. I'm still better. Well its been a week since last update. And yes, i have had every mood in the world that i could have ever had in my llife, with in this last week. It started out great with a great drum corps camp weekend. Then for some reason i went into a mild depression, prolly more or less a withdrawl from DC. Then the jazz concert came and we had a celebration party at Mike's on tuesday night, very good time. Moral up. Then Christmas concert and night was ok. Thursday after KKY meeting Christine came over, we had pizza and watched BASEketball, GoOd night again. Then friday came. Mike had a Christmas party. The plan was for me and him to be the only guys and have lots of girls. Well there were lots of girls, but a few guys came with them. Anywho, that night went really well, till they started to leave, even though we asked them to stay, they wouldn't stay, made me sad. Then last night, Kat was supposed to pick me up to take me to another party. Well she forgot. That really depressed me. I still am depressed. It sucks ass. I figrued she didn't 'like' like me, but i thought at least she wouldn't forget about me. Well i stayed up all night till god-knows-when walking and riding my bike around campus. I've been out several times already today. But i'm finally settling back into my old lifestyle. Having nothing ever to do. And nobody ever remember about me. I'm used to it. I'm feeling better though now that i've put this down and out of my head. Check ya later...

DRUM CORPS IS AWESOME. I love it even more than I thought i could. There wasn't alot of people there, but there was a lot of fun there. Only 6 horns. 1 soprano, 1 mellophone, 2 baritones, 1 euphonium [shortly changing to baritone :) ], and 1 contra bass player. It was insanely good though. we got pre-versions of the show music tentatively called "Primarily colors" AWESOME. Marion Glory Cadets always do shows written by american composers. This year its based on a syphony or somthing by Hindemith. I dont' like this man, but Wes's (corps arranger) arrangment ruled! This guys knows how to write. The brass instructor Jordan, is, as well as, awesome. Very cool people. I love playing the soprano bugle. It's so much fun. Everyone needs to come out here and march with Marion Glory Cadets. If i get enough people they can have the 2nd fleet bus come a pick everyone up from pittsburgh area. They are thinking about goign from Morgantown all the up through pittsburgh, making any stops they need to, to pick up everyone interested. The bus ride is free. But each witner camp costs $35. But its so worth it. The camps are not required. But its highly advised to go as many as possible. We already have tentative show music. Meaning the music he gave us will be in the show in some form and order or another, just not nessicarly the way we have it. And we played it through half decently. Its hard stuff. So if you are at all interested, pls email me. I'll get back to you on the free bus ride pick-up. I need alot, so tell you freinds too. You don't have to play a brass horn already. We'll teach you. All you need is a desire to play kick ass music all summer long. We have a DCM (drum corps mid-west) tour schedule. Not DCI yet. We have 24 shows just for DCM, plus whatever we do for DCI. AWESOME! Here i am. Really early in the morning/ really late at night. Updateing my page. Whoa, Deja vu. Anywho. Not much changed in my life. Heard Jazz ensamble 1 tuesday evening. They are good. Well the trumpets need help. Anytime they played above like an E on the staff, it went really outta tune. Badly. But the bones are on fire. I rarley heard anything wrong, or odd sounding. Once in a high ad. lib. solo. Other than that, there was nothing with them. The Saxes are just weak. The Rythem and Piano ect. are solid. But Northen Lights Jazz ensmable (Jazz 2, the one i'm in() we just do easy songs. We do them ok. Well all but one. It'll be not so good, chameleon. well it Could be good. Could be the key word. Caravan should be ok. Switch in time. i'm worried about it for Debbie only, she has a solo. And hasn't really done it yet. And our concert is in less than a week. fun fun fun. And this friday is supposed to be a last minute rehearsal. well guess what, i'll be in Marion for Drum Corps winter weekend camp. WOOHOO!. Check ya later people!

well, London was great. I had so much fun. But comming home was nice too. Its always nice to see your old freinds, some changed soem didn't. I did. Family is nice to see too. Band was not the turnout i was hoping for. But its still safe untill X-mas break. Then if we don't get a decent turnout, we might just bag it. Its alot of work, and for no one to show up, doesn't help. But we had fun. I played trumpet, maybe i'll play both for it. Trumpet and Trombone that is. I'd realyl like to play this one song nicole it was cool. Really pretty song. I think i'd like to maybe add a solo to the front of it, kind of an interlude or a cappella cadenza begining type thingy. Thats only if i think of one that fits. But the rest i'll do on trombone mostly. Maybe a few trumpets. I'm thinking there will only be 3, brandi prolly won't do it. That song was heavy on anything, so one trombone would be fine. So it'll be all good. I hope it goes on. L8rZ Y'all.

I'm home, well i've been home since aqobut 10:30 on wednesday night. I was quite tired. I'm still alittle tired. The trip went awesome. PLane ride was LONG. LONG LONG LONG. But the trip wan't long enough. I had alot of fun. We went out to Beatles alley, aka Abbey road. Good times. OF course saw all of the traditional sight seeing things in London. Walked around. It was great. The drinking age was 18. Cool. I'll actually go into detail at a later time, but feel free to ask me about it. Then in Paris we, again, did all of the traditional sight-seeing things. But we did one more than most people do. we got lost in paris out in zone 3. (outside the city) and noone out there speaks english. It was bad. But the short end of the story was, Taryn almost died, we got home after a 20 minutes metro mistake turned into a 2.5 hour getting lost excursion. But we're all alive and home now. The trip over all was great. But we could have spent the whole trip just in london. Or just in Paris. I got to Les miserables in London. Really Cool. Well i'll be talking to y'all later.

Well here i am, classes are DONE. Kick ASS!.. i get to sleep tomorrow too! no football game, no practtice till late tomorrow. This is so cool. I got my Culture and Schooling final done and turned in. I have another final exam paper to write though. This one for english. We have to rewrite/revise our very first paper of the year as our final. The better job we do on fixing our own paper, the better our scroe will be. If ti was orignally a C paper and we make it to a low B paper, we'll up to a high B for the final, depending on what we changed. We haev to turn the orinigalcopy plus the revision in on monday night. She'll grade it first without looking at the old one. Then see what we changed and determine how good a job we did. Cool ain't it. I have B in the class as of now. So the final WILL make or break it.
Well Mike (welch, a trombone player here, nice guy) said i should forget about LER, he's giving me a ride to Marion Glory Cadets. He marched with them, and they are fairly cheap and are close to here so i can make the winter rehearsals. so its sounding really good to me. PLus i still have alot of money in my account and i dont' think i'll be buying books next quarter, and very few spring quarter. So i might not need to work very much over the summer. I should be able to pull this off. ITS GONNA ROCK. Well talk to y'all later.

Well another day has gone by, AND I UPDATED!! holy shit. Anywho. I'm about where i thought i'd be on my final paper for Education class. I have trombone ensamble concert tomorrow night. It's in the indiviual ensamble concert tomorrow night in Presser. It should be interesting. We are the closers, and are probably the best group going to perform. hehe. I am playing trombone in Pep band. Should be some killer fun
I'm also highly considering joining a Drum Corp over the summer. Either the Glassmen or Lake Erie Regiment. LER is cheaper though, and they are getting good, they're record over the last 5 years has given then recognisition in whold status. They may be able to go Division III in a few years. And they are close to my home. By Glassmen are close to here. they are in Toledo, about an hour north. So i don't know. I requested info from both. But Erie is sounding really good. i just really want to do drum corp. It would be some killer fun. Brad was thinking of joining the Cavaliers, who got first this lst year inDCI finals. Yeah, they're good. They also cost an arm and a leg. But i guess if you can afford it, its worth it. Well check ya later..

Damn it, I always forget to update here. I'm busy ok. I got finals commng up. I have a test tonite at 8:49. Its a one-on-one ear training test, she a lots 12 minute time slots to everyone. Thats mine. I think i can get a decent grade.. but I can't sing worth shit. Its a mojor part of the test. But i'll survive. The other parts are easy. they are Conducting while playing basic rythms on the piano, and tapping and playing, and singing one pitch and tapping on weird times. Then playing certain scales. not well, just plunk them out, and then play certain intervals and such. Its all easy, except the singing. I wish i could sing. But i'll survive. the final is next Sunday. DURING THE STEELER GAME, its not fair damnit, if i wasn't going to Europe I could see the whole game of the steeler's kicking the Brown's ass. but i'll have to tape it or somthing. Well thats about all. I'l add at least one more update b4 i got to Europe. and if i find a cheap internet Cafe, i'll add one while in Europe. Check ya later.

Well the Glenn Miller Concert was AWESOME!! And then some more. Everyone had a solo. The trumpets guys were tight, the Trombones had alot of showman ship with superb skill. It was great. The saxes, well actually the woodwinds. they all played sax, fulte, clarinet. The Barisax player also played Bass clarinet. They did All the classics. Plus a kicking Cheroke Arrangment. Larry O'Brian was the band leader (I think it was Larry). But he played like really high. and with the best tone i've ever heard. He was, to say the least, KICK ASS. The bass trombone had a solo in the last song, his solo was a la Count Basie. He ran from his seat, stopped up front, and played. It was so cool. This was definatly worth going broke over. hehe. Well i've decided to update again. This time with my plans for the next week or so. I've also decided to start updating thisevery otehr day or so. As often as i'm in my room to do so. As for today, classes suck. but tonite the Freed center is having "The Glenn Miller Orchestra". Its gonna be cool. I got 3rd row seats. Plus Tomorrow I only have one class. Becuase its wednesday. WEll i have band classes, but they don't count. Next quarter is gonne rule for me. i only have 15 credits. Everything was filled up by time I was allowed to Schedule. So i hage Music Theory/Ear Training. A wellness lab. Wind Ensamble, Pep band and Jazz band. And, my piano and trumpet privat lessons. Thats all. I might actually be getting a B in English and Culture and Schooling. I thought they were gonna be Cs, but i'm getting close to A's and my finals will kepp them at Bs. Hopefully :-). This week end I was at Canadia as i mentioned last night. And this comming weekend i'm going on Tour with the university Singer's brass ensamble. WE're gone from saturday night till tuesday night. Yo everybody, sorry for not updating this as often as i said i would. Bite me :). I've been very busy, you know, with getting a real life and education. But anywho. Since the last update, lots of things have changed. Every girl that i have listed here in some or other, has pretty much stopped talking to me. but i'm ok. I got some friends besides el chicas. But its all good. I'm passing my classes. Read a 330 page book and wrote a 12 page answer report about in 4 days, thats the reading and writing in 4 days. We had 3 weeks to do it. But anywho. I turned it in. Had a second paper to do at the same time for English. I wrote it, it sucked and the teacher told em so, then i wrote a brand new one from the top of my head in 1 hour. And it was 100x better. That one i have till tomorrow/today at 5pm to proofread and re-write the final draft. That'll be easy.
This weekend we just went to Canda, and performed at a collegiate football game on saturday. Kick ass stuff. the bus ride there sucked. The hotel was decent. The bar under the hotel was kick ass. And mom if your reading this, i didn't have a margarita, it was my evil Twin. So to the rest of you, i still the take home glass it came it. I'm saving it as a momento. I also took a hand towel thingy from the hotel we were at.
On sunday we performed a Prfessional Canadian game. The Hamilton Tiger Cats. Doug Flutie's brother is on it. Canadian football is cool. My kind of football. Kick ass kinda football. No Fair-catch rule. Field is 10 yds longer and 15 wider. Field goals can be caught and downed in the endzone for 1 point. WEird rule. They also have 0 yrd penalties. yes 0!! yard penalties.
I'm so broke right now. i didn't taqke any money out of the bank b4 i left, and they gave us 20 dollars american (about 32 canadian) but for everyone else, that was enough for little bit of food we had to buy. But who knew that the bar would be that expensive. hehe. I'm sure there is mroe write about, but i don't what that would be. for the future, i'm going out of town again next weekend. Well this weekend was kinda boring. But I managed to make do. Nichole sent me a gift on Friday. It had a letter, which goes as follows: haha.. like i'm gonna spend the time to write it down. Sop anywho, it was just alittle cutesy card from her. It was in a box though. Also in the box (also within many wrappings of tape) was a rubber Bouncey Ball with Garfield in it. It was cute. But anywho, the card had the song we ,me and Nichole, had started to write about a month ago. It soudsn pretty good. We have alot of stuff in it. It made my day to get that song in the mail. i ment to work on it all weekend. But i didn't, hehe. figures, instead I hung out, and practiced alittle, Saw 2 concerts. the concerts were great. I ment the trumpet player from the Jazz band on friday. he played with Maynard Ferguson. He's on my cd "Live from London", I can't believe I met that dude. It was so cool. the Barbershop quartet night on Saturday was really cool too. 2 of the groups were unbelievably good. They had show and style and excellent voices, they were funny with their amusing songs. Which was very enjoyable. All the groups were good, but 2 of them were excellent.
Well one thing that sucked, was last night. Someone burnt popcorn at 3 in the morning. Not fun, burning popcorn set off the fire alarm, which means we all have to go out of the damn dorm. AT 3 IN THE MORNING! Damn people can't make fucking popcorn. Well thats all. There was somthing else, but I can't remember it now. L8rZ
