To keep it short, KiSS is "paper dolls for your computer". At least, that's what most people use it for. Some people have actually made games with it, but the paper dolls are more common. And have I mentioned that it's rather addicting?
Anyways, it's still fun. Much cooler than regular paper dolls. For one thing, no mess to clean up. The clothes stay on the doll properly (unless it was made a little screwy)--some dolls have "snap-to" code on 'em, that makes it even easier; just drag what you want to the doll and it snaps right on. Some KiSS artists get really nifty and have their dolls blink or change expression when you do something. Needless to say, I spend/waste countless hours playing with these things. -_-
To play with KiSS you need a viewer, which you can download at The Big KiSS Page at OtakuWorld. I would let you download it from here, but I don't wanna get in trouble. Anyways, install it. Then you download some KiSS sets. Keeping them all in one place is a good idea... okay, don't open the .lzh file. You either won't be able to do it or you'll make a big mess (and it's not pretty). Open the KiSS viewer and open the .lzh that way. Have fun. ^_^
Making KiSS is another story; I think there's enough tutorials out there, and the downloads at The Big KiSS Page. It's a little frusterating if you don't know exactly what you're doing, but don't worry, hang in there. ^_^ Unless you're really interested in how I do it (and trust me, it's complicated cuz I use cheap programs and always manage to make things more difficult for myself anyway), I'll make a little page about it.
