Don't you hate it when people are all like "yeah, that band sucks"? Obviously, we have all said a similar phrase within our lifetime, but it's time we realized that no piece of music truly "sucks". Everyone has different tastes, and if YOU don't consider a piece of music to your liking, try responding with the insightful phrase "I do not find this piece of music to my liking." Or how about shutting up altogether? For a personal example, I can't stand the mall-bred tendencies of a certain band who shall remain nameless. Let's call them G. Charlotte. Nah, too obvious. We're gonna go with Good C. That's much better. Now, it's completely beyond me how anyone could find a metric ton of insipid posturing "catchy", "original", or "inspiring", let alone "punk", but hey, I refrain from making any sort of comment when some Hot Topic reject is toting the merits of Good C's "credibility" and "integrity". Get a clue jerkwad, this particular band couldn't be further from anything remotely resembling actual creativity...hang on, what was my point again? Oh right, I should shut up. Let me rephrase that. I do not particularly enjoy that band's brand of music. I do not begrudge anyone else's affinity for any band, nor will I publicly attack anyone for said affinity. I will keep my meaningless opinions to myself, after all, it's all about taste. This is a promise. Now about everyone doing the same, No one's forcing you to purchase any said piece of music, or even pay any attention to it. Furthermore, why would anyone want to listen to your witty rebuttal of "[INSERT BAND NAME] is for fags, yo." when they've clearly already made their decision about what music they enjoy? Just a thought.
