Who Is Kaktis? (Really This Time)

This is who I am, in the esteemed opinions of those who know me. I couldn't think of a creative way to write a bio for myself, so I decided to be creative, (and by "creative" I of course mean "lazy,") and get people that know me to write about me. What better way to present myself to others than by getting others to present me? Exactly. There isn't one. Also, if you know me, even a little bit, or if you have ever actually met me, then feel free to send me something to put on here.

Also, these things are fun:
I am currently feeling The current mood of Kaktis at www.imood.com

Kaktis According to Lara:

Kaktis is Kayleigh Nicole LeBlanc. She is turning 19 years old on November 24th, 2005. It's a Thursday. She is a trombone (gun) toting band geek of the highest ranks of band geekiness and plans on expanding her knowledge of music by going to university for it. She would like to go to either McMaster or U of T. She may not seem like it most of the time, but she is actually a really sensitive person. She worries a lot about many, many, many things and is paranoid on occasion as well. If you ever want to get anything that is troubling her out in the open, don't ask during the day, the best time to ask is when you are driving with her at night, when she is at the point where she is asleep but still coherent, and just at night in general. She is also very intelligent, with all of the nerd jokes that she understands, and just the vast amounts of useless information that she knows in general. She loves fantasy stuff, and dragons... She seems to be a hopeless romantic, too. You would never normally picture Kaktis to be anything romantic, but I believe that she really is. She isn't sad any more either. She has grown a lot since grade nine, from shy-ish to outspoken and opinionated, but not in the negative way, only that way on occasion (when we are arguing)... Her musicality has also expanded a lot as well, obviously, since grade nine, but in the past year that she has been taking lessons and been out of school. Kaktis is a crazy person, very funny all the time, and understands me better than anyone else I know. She is unique, as in, there is no one else like her in the world. She is finally happy with herself, or the majority of herself, because, I mean, come on, everyone would change something about themselves. She and Marcy make the perfect couple, they are very right for each other, more so than anyone else I have known. Kaktis doesn't really care what people think of her usually. She cries during certain movies, and almost through really emotional music. Her favourite instrument is the double bass. Kaktis is also Botany the kitty. For, if she died, all of the books of botany would be erased and the world would have one less science. She is also Red, Tank, Tinfoil the Galloping Gazelle, O.H.O., Hgeliyak, Koyligeh, Eskimo Joe and a variety of other names. She is quite ticklish, especially on the back of her legs above her knees. She really enjoys roses, and her old favourite colour is red. Her favourite style of music is classical. She, like a lot of us, also misses high school a lot. She enjoys helping people out with things. Never try and tell her you're fine when you really aren't. She knows, and doesn't care what you say, she will bother you until you tell her what's wrong. She thinks negatively on herself often, even when she knows she is wrong. She is VERY stubborn. She should also be very proud of her accomplishments. Kaktis is also a really big jerk, and I hate her.

It is really difficult to say who a person is, rather than what. I hope that I have made the real Kaktis much more apparent to all those who read this. Because, this is who Kaktis is; my bestest buddy... HA HA HA!

This is actually only an excerpt from the monster, 31-page epic bio that Lara wrote. To read the whole thing, go here.

Kaktis According to Stephen:

Kaktis is going out with my brother. That's weird, because I didn't think that he'd ever get a girlfriend, until he was rich and chicks liked him for his money. They are gross. I saw them kissing... Twice! It was yucky. She's a pretty cool guy, and I hope she gets mad at Marcy when he shaves his head. I'm shaving my head tomorrow. Anyway... Back to Kaktis... if that is your real name.

...That's all I got. Oh! Here's more:
She is ugly.

Kaktis According to Mac:

Well, I have known Kaktis pretty much all of two weeks, maybe... and I remember seeing her for the first time, and the first thing that POPPED into my head was... WHAT A BUTT.

Yep, I said it. That butt is freakin' spectacular.

Not only was this Ontario-born beauty in possession of the kind of body that many women pay good money for, but she is actually pretty fond of the trombone. From what I am told, "she bones it up everyday." (Lara Kirby) Many hours of (once again I quote,) "blowing Oliver" must be the key to her luscious lips.

Can this be possible? Can this woman be real? Can we clone her?

I even have more questions.

How does a man who plays the trumpet end up with one of the finest women on the planet?

I have no answer.

It's like when people ask me why I am going out with Lara. There are some things you simply cannot explain.

So other than the fact that she's dating Marcel, this woman is someone we can really be proud of. In fact, I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say Kaktis is basically the sexiest trombone player since Glenn Miller.

Although she thinks that I am a musically retarded, (I used the spell check for that,) she is a really cool person. We like to dazzle each other with big words. She says "reciprocate," and I say "meatloaf." You know, big words! She throws kick ass parties that I don't know how the hell they don't get broken up by the 5-O, and I joke around, but she has a pretty cool boyfriend (that should really play football) as well.

Kaktis According to Cassie:

Ah what to say about Kaktis. She likes sex in a pan, sex on a spoon, sex on the beach and sex in grade eleven form. Oh how she has changed.

Editors note: I promised not to edit these before posting them... as much as I would have liked to.

Kaktis According to Kenzie:

Kaktis is a pickle loving ex-insomniac. She enjoys anything to do with music, and nerdly pursuits of varied variaties, such as Dungeons and Dragons, Geocaching, using alternate keyboard layouts, creating webpages, and creating twisted worlds in The Sims. She is a social drinker (of iced tea), and is not afraid to host drinking parties (of iced tea). She proclaims intense hatred for many things (mostly her brother), but also intense love for many things (mostly music or pickles). The only thing she values more than her Trombone is her life - and that's only because she hasn't figured out how to play it while dead. She likes to create and participate in online surveys, but only good ones. As this site will no doubt show, Kaktis was once a non-sleeper extraordinaire, but as some friends will attest, that skill is fading fast - She'll still give it a good run, though.

Kaktis According to Pinky:

A Crapface.

Kaktis According to Marissa:

Kak-tis

(P) Pronunciation Key (kăk΄tәs)

n. pl. Kak-ti-pi

n. One of two geeky, formerly vespertine, prickly-headed, usually leafless persons native mostly to various regions of the Music Room, having a variously colored, rarely showy personality and phenomenal talent with numerous musical instruments and artistic media. Though does not coexist well with mangoes, is most commonly found in regions with high concentrations of nerdliness and has been known to thrive in symbiotic relationships with trombones.
[Latin, cardoon, from Greek kaktos]

Kaktis According to Malhavoc:

Though I've only known her for a rather short time, and then mostly over MSN, Kaktis has become a friend I find myself talking to quite often. She's just the sort to listen to me rant on and on about some totally insane idea (mainly from one of Tolkien's works) - without blocking me for the next month or so. At a first glance, she appears to be calm and reserve - though once you get to know her you'll quickly realize how wrong first impressions can be.

She enjoys her music - so much so that she offered to drive me all the way from Etobicoke to Georgetown just to attend a concert by her school band. She's well-verse (okay, knowledgeable of) Quenya - the tongue of the High-Elves, and she loves her fish! These are admirable traits, people!

She's also the sort of person who'll remember a friend's name two years after a single conversation over MSN. Which, when you're at a party full of strangers, can be quite the blessing.

So enjoy the website, and be sure to spam... ahm, email Kaktis as much as possible.

Kaktis According to Devon:

Kaktis is a very fascinating person. While she is very nice and kind in general, always willing to play beautiful music, (and make pathetic people jealous,) and tell jokes, (plan waterbottle,) and the give off the occasional rant, she has an uncanny knack for making you feel stupid, if you are being so. She is one of the most talented musicians that Acton has ever seen, ('cause that's siginficant...) and the closest person I know to being fluent in Quenya (thus she is a hero in my eyes). She is known to, in something close to her own words, "blather away about nothing," which is always highly amusing. She is also very good at grammar, so she likely finds this appalling. [Editor's note: You would not believe the editting I had to do, just to get it to it's current state. I couldn't bear to post it as it was.] She is a very good singer, a very talented artist and a super cool musician, as mentioned by everyone else, and an important member of student council. (Division X.) She is involved in any other nerdly activity she can find. Kaktis was once related to me in some strange way, if she isn't still, and makes a very good family member, room-mate and conspirator, but not a good locate-your-boyfriend-among-the-country-roads navigator. And that is all I can think of about Kaktis right now.

Kaktis According to Donnie Darko:

Kaktis, (or kayleigh,) is a funny character, she is. A taken trombone god, who manages a full time job and a part time job, which really doesn't make sense. Think about it. You can either get a full time or a part time job at a place. (Though her jobs are at two different places.) There is nothing more than full. You cannot work 125% of the time. For this, Kaktis is amazing. A mathematical imposibility. Never the less, she is Kaktis: A cofee/food maker/donut getter by day, a customer care specialist by night, an all around fun person to know. Interests include: Trombone, music, various nerdy activities, Marcy, and dropping by her old high school randomly (if she isn't working or creating web-sites) to play trombone... Which, by the way, she won a music award for, and has her picture up on the music room wall, and she is holding a trombone. It's one hell of a prestigious award, at Acton High. So basically, you wanna know Kaktis? She's ka-raaayyyzeeee. Word to Kaktis. Gooooo Kaktis!

Kaktis According to Colin:

A girl I know that lives in Limehouse. She has some weird fettish with not only music, but a Van Helden. Man, what a weirdo. She manages the impossible and all of the implausible. She somehow manages to keep Marcel in line, and seems to have a love for classical music, (spending $120 on a bunch of instruments making boring sounds from Chicago,) and during all of it is completely confusing, while still making perfect sense. The mature side of humanity, and not afraid to be labelled a nerd. Weirdly finding joy in reading essays just for the heck of it, and telling completely irrelivant people to write her personal biography. What trust she has for other people!

Kaktis According to Alison:

The first time I met Kaktis, I was in grade seven and she sat down at my piano and I was awestruck. People with musical talent *shakes fist*. Later when I attended Acton with her, I came to know her as Lara, the gnome of the music room and the one that always yelled at me when I fought with my sister. She can be very intimidating to a little grade nine. She can also be very nice and fun to eat frozen raspberries with. She would definitely be the best busker ever, too! Or one (wo)man band! Here's to you, Kaktis. *clinks little plastic glasses together*!

Kaktis According to Will:

Things I think of when I think of Kaktis... virtually every musical instrument I can think of, ping pong (the balls sting, the paddles hurt...) capture the flag, and lasers, and snow and gaining up on me, and killing me, crack, (that has more to do with the fact she went to Acton High and it had the nick name of Crackton) musical arrangements that remind me of my lack of talent on any musical instrument, cool drawings, children, (everything reminds me of children), apples, petting monsters (Black and White!), mints, she reminds me of Lara sometimes... dragons, an actual cactus... I look at this and think that maybe I should have actually tried to remember some things, or get to know her better before I wrote a bio on her... In fact this is fairly poorly done, but I am too lazy to go back and re-write it, so... I'll leave with this, the response of a fellow musician: minor sevenths, though dissonant resolve to consonance. Because something doesn't make sense doesn't mean that it won't resolve to a point. Now... can anyone tell me what I just said there?

Kaktis According to Christina:

Kaktis is a very artistic person. She can draw, and she can play many different instruments. I wish I was special like that. She is also pretty interesting if you actually get a chance to just sit and talk with her. There's lots to say about Kaktis, but thats all I got so... GO KAKTIS!

Kaktis According to Kaz:

Kaz has nothing to say about me, but I felt it was very important that this picture was on here.
