Life of an Ordinary King

When I was a young boy, there was something inside of me just screaming for release. I could not put my finger on it at the time, but I always felt as if I were different than everyone else.  My imagination was an intricate and personal kaleidoscope of visions and dreams manifesting inside of me, sitting, waiting.
I remember my mother playing Elton John's Levon, when I was about five years old. Listening to that song opened  up my heart, mind and soul to music. At a young age, I had become very fond of music. It had become my emotional escape from the everyday struggles and fears of growing up. Music had become everything to me and would eventually carry me down so many different roads in my life.
Eventually, as the years went by, I turned to drugs and alcohol as a means of escape from myself and the responsibilities of life. I would go on to become the self-proclaimed King of Trenton, musician and songwriter. This is my story, a tapestry of my life, painted in the songs that I have written throughout the years. Some are sad, some grim, and some are happy, but they all are extensions of my soul and how I was feeling at different times in my life.
So feel free to take a walk with me as I reveal the innermost being of an ordinary king.
