My parents have come and gone and everything is back to normal in San Jose. Well, not quite since we are still in Semana Santa. For those who don't know, it is the the Holy week before Easter which means the city is a ghost town because the country decides to celebrate the rebirth of Jesus by going to the beach. That's Costa Rica for you.

Weather here is great even though it did rain a bit yesterday but it didn't affect me since I was working. Yes, even though I'm not very religious, I was working on Good Friday which is a real shame. Not that they thought so at work since I took a week off work last week. However, the ral reason is that I'm not a Tico. I'm an American on a type of intern/scholarship which allows me to work in Costa Rica. That means that they don't have to pay me double my salary which is what they company would have to do if they paid a Tico to work.

Last night, I went to Mickey's house for chili and beer. That man has perfect timing because we couldnt buy any alcohol last night since it was Holy Week and didnt feel like cooking. However, Mickey is a good boyscout and had stocked up on beer. It was nice to finally check out his place which is close by to mine since every time he has invited me over, I never make it.

Today is Friday and it's another nice day in San Jose, Costa Rica. I didn't get much sleep last night and I am dead tired. Just got an e-mail from my parents and all is as scheduled.

Just thought I would take a quick work break and write a bit. Presently swamped with work since I'm taking a week off and I need to clear my desk before I go. Lord knows that I'll have a pile of stuff for me waitign for me when I come back from vacation.

A beautiful day in San Jose, Costa Rica. Summer is here and this past week has been nice, hot and sunny. Oh, no, gonna turn 31 on the 19th this month. Sigh, another year older.

I am presently looking for a new apartment. Dan will be moving out at the end of the month and I've decided that I dont want to have another roommate. The thing now is finding another aprtment in the area for the right price. Debating whether I want to pay less money for an unfurnished place and buy furniture later. Shouldnt be too bad since I already have a bed, fridge, and washing machine so I got the most expensive stuff over with. It will be a pain to buy furniture but well worth it since there is at least a $100-$200 difference in renting a furnished place and an unfurnished one.
