By the way, Happy Chinese New Year to all. It's the year of the Rooster. Here is what it says about all of you Roosters out there:

The sign of the Rooster indicates a person who is hard-working and definite about their decisions. Roosters are not afraid to speak their minds and can therefore sometimes come across as boastful. They make good restaurant owners and world travellers.

Just got in work but dont feel like doing too much today. It's a beautiful sunny day and I really don't want to be stuck in a building all day. Reality sucks. The company was really happy after the Supebowl since they made a killing. Of course, they didnt see fit to share the profits with us.

Now, I'm just trying to come up with a list for stuff that I need from the state for my parents to bring down to me in March. So many things I could ask for but it's not stuff that I really need. Just stuff that I miss from the US. Not much else to write about since these past few days have been pretty calm. If anything else comes up, I'll write about it.

Presently at work right now but it's still early and I don't really feel like getting started on the pile of stuff I have to do today. The weather in San Jose is great. Nice and Sunny with a bit of a breeze.

After I got home from work yesterday, I came home to a couple of drunks. It was Patricia and Jorge(a friend from Jaco). Patricia was cooking even though she could barely stand and Jorge was in front of the TV watching the Simpsons even though I wouldnt quite call it watching. He was more entrance or hypnotized by it. Just what I needed after coming home from work.

I don't mind drunks in general but they are many types of drunks. Happy drunks, fun drunks, bad drunks, crying drunks, Calm drunks, and annoying drunks. Those two fall in the last 2 categories. Usually it's not bad, at least, if I am drunk with them and we are at a bar and I can just ignore them and talk to other people. Unfortunately, I wasnt in such a place. So I pretty much ignored them most of the night.

I went to bed early since I have begun to have a sore throat and a bit of a cough. Hopefully I will be better by the time Superbowl comes around. I think this will be the first Superbowl where I don't have to work!!! For Superbowl, planning on going to Mickey's house where we will have a chili cook off. May the best chili win!!!!

I got some more time on my hands so I will write about Karla's party that took place at the Nashville last Thursday. I got a phone call Thursday from karla to make sure I was gonna be there. Now, if you are familiar with the bar Nashville South, you probably know who karla is and everything else about her. Thus, no need to get into details. The party was to start around 8 and of course, I arrived around 9. Call it Tico Time. There was an actual crwod that night and of course, I ran into Mickey. Not surprising since he is a regular there.

Once there, say hi to everyone and all that and Chad, the old owner, introduced me to Chris, who is the new owner and will be taking over the Nashville the 16-17th of this month. A decent enough guy from NY who basically said that the place will more or less stay the same. Then, after talking to some of the bartenders, it looks like he will fire a few of them. Why, no idea. The party was fine we had a cake for Karla and sang the usual song. Of course, since it was her b-day everyone was buying her shots of something and she ended up singing on the pool table, on the bar and then ended up passed out on the floor.

The odd thing was that no one tried to help her out. They just kind of stood there laughing and saying to just leave her there. Nolan, one of the guy that works there tried to help her out and then Patricia came along to help. Of course, I would have gone and helped but by the time I got through the crowd, she was already up again.

Presently, temperature is great even though a lot of stuff is happening at work.

Even thoguh I'm a little bit late writing this, all I have to say is, another year in the bag. Lots to say since it's been so long but since it's all last year's news, I'm not gonna write much about the long ago past so here goes the Cliff note version of it.

Christmas was ok even though there was some family drama with Patricia's family. Very annoying. New Year's Eve. Dont remembmer much of it and not even sure I had a celebration or not.

I did finally get to meet Audrey and Lindsey. We met in Jaco and I had brought along one of Dan's friend's. A very nice couple and I will put pictures up as soon as I get a chance of our meeting. Jaco was great along with the usual bits of problems. I really had needed that vacation. Got a bit of a tan by going to the river and to the beach.

Trying to get things set up with the reservations for my parent's stay in March even though I am a bit worried since I havent heard from them in a while.

I have been sick and tired of Costa Rica lately. Not sure why but I wonder if I'm getting the "Walkabout" bug again. I feel like I am wasting my time here and that it's time to move on. I think that I have accomplished all that I can here and that it's time to move on. I'm gonna start getting reeady just in case.
