| Journal: In a group of 3, you will need to make a journal (in English!) about your life in the camp. You will need to include at least the following things in the journal: - Your quest in finding out what and where you are. - A description of what happens to you on the transport and on your first day in the camp. - A description of daily life in the concentration camp. - Things that might happen to you during your stay. - Your thoughts and feelings about the camp, the way you're treated etc. To start you off in your Quest, several links regarding concentration camps and the Holocaust have been collected and put in the "Links" section of this site. Of course you're free to use other sites. Personal Reflection Essays: Each group member has to include a Personal Reflection Essay, which has to be at least one page. In this essay, the group member reflects on his/her own performance, the performance as a group and the project itself. If you don't know how to write the essay, you can answer the following questions: - How did you perform? Could you have done more in the group or did you do enough? Explain. - How did the group perform? Did you all work together? Or was there room for improvement? Explain. - What did you think of the WebQuest? Did you think it was fun, boring, exciting, interesting or something different altogether? Explain. Remember: these essays need to be made independently. However, they will need to be included in the project. All written items need to be in English. Time: You have a month to finish the project. It is advised that you don't wait until the last minute, but that you start writing the journal early. Reflection: Every week, the time will be given to come together as a group and discuss your work. What you need to hand in: You will need to hand in a project as a group. the project will have the following form: - Front page including your names. - Page of contents - The journal - Personal reflection essays. - Sources you used for information; websites, books, magazines etc. Further questions can be directed to the teacher! |
