I am barely breathing. I feel the air seep from my lungs, slowly depleting my energy. Losing the will to survive. Every breath laced with threads of crimson pain. Water encapsulates my body, enclosing my entire being with the pressure. Breathe...I think...If only I could. Compression. Cold. Everything going black and my limbs gradually going limp. Giving up. All the pain finally leaning towards a dull throbbing sensation. Everything seems to go black. The searing sensation welding across my lungs, now pressing harder. Wanting to weild the small amount of air into the weak muscles. My mouth opens and finally I breathe in...attempting to gain oxygen but only inhaling the water more. Bubbles escape from my mouth, trailing in an endless jettison. My arms escape, I reach for the light, what I can still see of it... I am sinking in the endless pit of deadly cold liquid. I'm about to fall to a watery grave. Sinking...not floating like any normal mass of a human. My density now becoming too great to handle. Heavy...Everything seeming bleak and dead around me. The floor of the ocean calling to me, willing my body to join the crooked flailed arms of the seaweed and hit the ground level of the amber sands...Willing me to stop moving and give up, just to join the endless cycle of marine life. Let the sharks eat my remains...
