| Holt's reception center had been closed for remodeling until about one week before we arrived, and it looks great after its facelift. We saw about 30 kids there, ranging from 3 days old (in an incubator) to 10 months. |
| The caregivers at the reception center were very attentive, and they reminded Eric to wash his hands before picking up this little guy on the right. The kids were being held and rocked, as well as just hanging out. The rooms were light and airy, and had quiet music playing. |
| Like everywhere else, everything was being done on the floor, and we took off our shoes to go into the reception center rooms. The kids were separated by age for the most part, and there were lots of women around working on meeting their many needs. |
| There is a fully equipped nursing station at the reception center for 24-hour care - thankfully no kids were in that part of the center when we visited - everyone was very healthy. |
