| When we arrived to pick Gabe up, he was napping, and the foster mom was fussing around him getting him ready to go. Again, she and the foster father were both there. |
| She spent a long time explaining how she makes his bottles, and showing the social worker which bottle nipples Gabe likes best. |
| The foster mom gave the baby one last bottle, and gave us some very special gifts, including some photos from Gabe's time in her home, and a gorgeous hanbok (first birthday outfit) that she had been keeping for her first grandson. We were very moved by her concern for us and the baby. We were the first family that had travelled to pick up one of her foster kids. |
| Finally, the moment did come and she handed Gabe over to us. Both she and foster dad kept up a good front until we were in the car driving away, and then, looking back, I could see her start to lose composure. We aren't sure, but it looked like she was going to be getting another foster child soon. |
