| nimue has definitely claimed the obsidian area. i put some more turquoise out with it. don't want to selenite-clean the obsidian traps too often, it makes the cat too stoned. & she got really spooked recently. she'd caught a shrew rat & left it half eaten. ick. don't think she cared for it too much. fortunately for her the human took care of it. | |||||||||||||
| i accidentally put a large glass bead in with stones in a saltwater bath. & i stupidly left the bowl in the room with the tumbler. & teeny tiny pieces of quartzified grit left out in a bowl right next to it. & a ton of jasper on top of that. ok the jasper i didn't mind, but... too much in the bowl. & jillions of tiny quartz transmitting images of glass manufacturing, i saw long vats with the hot glass--which had me thoroughly confused till i found the glass bead. also saw strange halloween-like spooky tree images, no doubt cause i put a new piece of interesting-looking wood in there too. had turquoise in there & citrine but it was definitely time for a string of obsidian. lesson: never leave quartz unattended if you don't want to be up half the night. | |||||||||||||
| found 2 good rocks: this was a good day for rocks at random. i found 2: one a new pix jasper with a perfect impression of sunlight on the water. you can even see fishing lines thrown in & the sun setting in the background. & a teal rainbow obsidian piece! see rainbow obsidian page. | |||||||||||||
