observation diary2
obsidian as a room-cleaner notes: i finally figured out the grey cloud in the living room corner. i thought it was maybe "pull" to obsidian in the spare room behind the closed door. maybe it was getting stuck or something? however i've seen also clouds pass thru the door into the room when i was in there taking obsidian out of the tumbler. this kind of confused me cause i have mahogany obsidian permanently on the coffee table & sometimes a strand of snowflake too . but i still i was seeing a thin cloud every day. turns out it was mostly from montana the cat. she's adopted the other coffee table as her latest sleeping spot & the cloud is over this right next to the door by the corner. i understand why this is. montana was my daughters' cat, she grew up with the kids & just passed the ripe old age of 13. now both of the girls are grown & moved out of the house. poor montana. as a result she got even more evil to nimue. nimue walked by too close? swat! depressed & need someone to take out aggressions on? nim's always convenient to pounce on. but then i saw montana rolling around on the table looking like a contented happy kitty. this was after the 2nd big combo (selenite, rose quartz, rhodonite, turquoise, citrine & smoky quartz). & no more grey cloud the next day. & she has been behaving--& probably feeling--better the last few months. guess magic stones have done some good cleaning her out ;)

a couple days before this, it looked like montana was seeing smudge cloud pulls (judging from her line of sight & reaction) same time i did. this was in the same room just not up in the corner. i only caught sight of it for a few seconds before it disappeared. i don't think she cared much for it & neither did i  (i smudged the room, in case the obsidian hadn't yet got it).

also the past few days the cats LOVE to follow me when i'm waving a selenite wand :) seems to room-clean pretty well, something else to use besides sage or incense. it makes me pretty high tho so i don't want to do this all the time. well, it was late at night so i decided to use it to room-clean. since the door was already open for air i decided to go zap the 2 obsidian yard-cleaners too if they needed it. & the moon was full which didn't hurt. so both cats follow me to both the obsidian places to sniff & investigate. by the time we get to the 2nd one, they want to play on the obsidian as i'm waving the wand around. & purr, & be petted. like i said the moon was full so we're all having a blast
:)

the next night i did another late-night selenite clean, indoors & out. both of them followed me to the front yard. as i started going to the back driveway just nim followed me. she figured out where i was going real quick. believe me, trying to zap obsidian with a cat rolling & purring on it isn't easy. she seems to prefer this cleaning spot: it has black obsidian in the center, surrounded by a strand of round turquoise beads, again surrounded by a snowflake obsidian strand behind all this is a big hunk of nature-smoothed blond jasper that kind of has a face like an ancient turtle from dinosaur times. the whole rock looks like its head. the face was poking out of the ground on the path by the woolen mills, & i dug him out. a big, patient rock that i've maybe walked on a million times & so have other people-- so i figured he'd be good at helping obsidian keep the neighbors' negativity clouds under control. & my "intuition" or past-life persona said to put jasper there with an obsidian cleaner. preferably in a circle, too, but i still have to find all the "right" jasper. apparently "he" feels the teepee (hey i live in a house now) should definitely be guarded from negativity by obsidian & other stones. this led to some internal musing: should there be stones guarding from all 4 directions? i'm a little concerned there may be obsidian "cross-fire" thru the house if i do this--gods forbid i let them get too dirty--so at the moment i'm testing just 2. the other is a large piece from raw obsidian i broke up myself, with only the rough edges sanded off. ("pure" obsidian surface is much more beautiful than tumbled/polished.) it's under the little plum tree with only a piece of citrine to clean it as of now.

nim got her heart chakra open! really, all i did was pet her... she was outside all morning.  i put it up & went out on the porch. nim was climbing around on the rail & i went to pet her. & blink! there goes the big round green in her aura. well, it's no small thing to be beloved by a cat :)

this morning montana decided she liked sleeping in the cupboard under the kitchen sink. not one of her normal snoozing places, she usually likes the place in the corner lately. maybe it was all the selenite cleaning my medicine bag on the counter? maybe she wanted me to bring the rose quartz out again? well, i did have rhodochrosite... & no cloud in the corner when i got up, nor all day--yep, it was definitely the cat.

more on nimue & the yard-cleaning obsidian: well, she was out again all morning, summer is interesting with all kinds of things to chase. & when she finally came in i caught a quick thought from her: "i don't feel so good." & i instinctively know she's been into dirty obsidian, i can see it in her aura. i'm thinking, it shouldn't be
that dirty. well, let's see: there were some teens making evil bad-ass noises across the street last night (school's just out & they're already bored. sigh...). or it may have been nim's own fault for all i know. she hadn't eaten indoors so i expect she caught herself some nice juicy morsel? probably a bird too knowing her. sigh... so i go out armed with my trusty selenite wand. yep, the one with the citrine was really seriously filthy. i'm inclined to believe it really was something she ate. & recently too, cause the citrine hadn't done much of anything yet. so i start circling the event horizon (obsidian's like a black hole) with the wand. & nimue gets right in there, she started feeling better right away. geez, selenite works better than pepto bismol. i made sure the citrine was physically touching the obsidian to make things go a little quicker next time. then i figured i'd better go check the other obsidian trap. as i get to the driveway nim makes a bee-line straight for it. she KNOWS where we're going by now. & she rolls all over it & lolls her head all over the jasper like it was her own personal pillow. well, i got her moved for a minute & saw it wasn't even hardly dirty. like why bother? but i'm there so i start trying to circle & point the wand. i say "try" because nim apparently decided she "owns" the obsidian trap. after all it comes complete with a turquoise dissipator & animal-friendly jasper, right? mine! she actually made a playful attempt to "defend" it from me looking as play-evil as possible. but then i saw some of the raw killer instinct surface in her face. i rarely see this in her, mostly just in stray thoughts from her prey. & she's a good-natured, affectionate cat who defers to montana constantly (& montana terrorizes her mercilessly). in fact we used call her "chicken kitty" because she's terrified of most people. (when circe came home for xmas a couple years ago & brought her BF, nim actually hid under the house for 3 days. & justin is not somebody you normally need to hide from.) this is not a mean cat, in other words, much less possessive. so probably she'd recently killed & it was still surfacing with obsidian. & the "mine!" energy (which i have NEVER seen in her) was no doubt connected to the animal instinct to defend its kill. well, then, she can roll on the obsidian if she wants to--if she feels like cleaning her aura out that's entirely up to her. at least i didn't find any mockingbird feathers.
