| stones effects & results. some effects seem to be cumulative. i've also sometimes noticed greater effects after the stones get put away than while actively using them. for example, the first time i used moldavite, i just laid it on my 3rd eye for about 5 minutes, then put it up. for about the next 4 hours i had visions on the back of my eyelids if i closed my eyes. or using record-keeper quartz for maybe 20 minutes, i might see triangles for hours. patterns & combos tend to be very noticable when you have them out. | ||||||||||||||||

| raw mahogany obsidian chunk: reminds me of tiger... | ||||||||||||||||
| the deep-clean experiments continued: ok, after several occasions of putting out "too much obsidian," i decided to get brave & lay out damn near everything i had (anyway it was daylight hehe). i have one large & 4 small selenite wands, i often lay these all out & then add the contents of my medicine bag to clean/charge these. that seems to be working pretty well except i get pretty stoned (pun intended) on the selenite. not as bad as only using citrine tho which is really loud if i give it too much light. the selenite will sometimes get a little dirty but i can usually easily fix that by pointing it & telling it to clean itself hehe. just to be on the safe side, i added 2 tumbled citrine touching the main selenite wand, several turquoise strands (dissipates negativity) & one tumbled smoky quartz. for obsidian i had the mahogany obsidian ball, the large mahogany chunk, 3 good-sized apache tears, my black convex triangle, & 3 strands of snowflake including one of round beads. i also set everything up in the kitchen away from all the coffee table fossils. things sometimes get a little spooky with fossils & saturated obsidian. obsidian starts dragging cobwebs out of the dark corners of your subconscious & fossils are, well, fossils. after a few hours of this i started feeling really really seriously depressed. i let this go on for maybe longer than i "should" have, but what the hey, let's get this all out, or as much as i can at one time. in a way this is positive cause it shows how much better i've been feeling the past several months. the stones themselves didn't really feel dirty, so i guess tho stuff surfaced, the obsidian's gravitational pull hadn't quite pulled it all in, &/or they were cleaning well. obsidian does have this annoying little habit of telling you exactly what it's cleaning out, especially in round forms. the fact that i had a million cleaning stones was a definite plus. well, the selenite got the worst of this off me. i put everything away except for the selenites, turquoise, 1 citrine, & 1 snowflake strand to ground everything/clean up any residue. then i got out the long strand of rhodonite & surrounded everything w/ it. rhodonite is commonly supposed to be a "love" stone, but others say it rebuilds your emotional foundation. the first time i tried the long strand for this purpose, i got extremely angry. (so much for the love stone idea.) however i did go thru an anger phase a few years back as a way to deal w/ depression, so this isn't surprising. rhodonite seems to work better for me now tho, i've used it frequently w/ a selenite/garnet combo. but if i leave it out for more than 2-3 hours i tend to get a little irritable or shaken up. it definitely stirs things around. maybe it works for a love stone if your emotional foundation is stable & secure. i then added 2 pieces of rose quartz. & voila. the reaction was very fast: i actually felt the rose quartz strongly for once (usually i prefer to wear rhodochrosite, which is stronger). the effect at close range was pretty angelic--selenite tends to sanctify most things with white light, so the emotional level was pretty high, more like the spiritual love zone. went to lay down to meditate & could feel the combo strongly for a little while before it leveled off. fell asleep during the meditation, which was probably the best thing that could've happened. heal in your sleep if you can ;) rhodonite is said to dissolve the old mortar in your emotional foundation & help you rebuild. i did feel stirred around when i woke up (there's a lot of rhodonite in that strand) but not so depressed. this combo should work well in a medicine bag as long as i don't use it too long at one time. the high point: well, i woke up to the sounds of neighbors across the street having one of their "parties." those houses are mostly duplexes & hard-drinking truckers seem to moved into all of them. it gets pretty loud over there sometimes. definitely not conducive to more meditation so i put everything up. opened the door for some air & went out on the porch. next thing i know, here's the cat running around looking a little upset. she immediately tosses telepathy on me: "there's a lot of people!" clear as a bell. well, the cat telepathy experiment is going well after our recent moldavite trip. & i did find somewhere that selenite might aid telepathy as well. most of the time when i do pick something up from her she gets a quick soft white glow as the thought goes off. this is consistent with selenite, however i've seen this a few times before i started doing major work with stones. the white of selenite helps you connect to your higher self. so the white-light telepathy reaction might be one's higher self connection or superconscious communicating w/ the other person or being's, with some kind of auto-translate feature ;) obsidian note: i have this new chunk of mahogany obsidian which i have only used once before (pix above) along w/ the mahogany ball. i'm reminded of that old story about the lady & the tiger: well, this chunk definitely has teeth in it. it's a raw stone w/ rough edges, meaning it can be considered "empathic" as a stone broken from its original piece. & i've noticed that raw or broken/ding'ed stones can be pretty jangly or loud: "empathic" tends to mean misery loves company. so it's a good idea to heal these stones. i've been trying selenite for this purpose, which seems to work reasonably well. anyway we'll see how the tiger obsidian behaves... |
