The morphometric analysis of blood platelets.

The special device for computerised image analysis and morphometry of blood cells was developed on the basis of Hemocytology Lab. There is no any qualitative criteria for estimation of morphology of blood platelets on stained smears. Our device allows to evaluate up to 14 geometrical and optical features of this cells, that can essentually expant the opportunities of clinical reseasch.

Human whole blood platelets are great heterogeniuos in size and saturation of granules.

Ratio of the different morphological forms of platelets can reflect the thrombocytopoiesis on normal and pathological processes.
