KING MING ...well, HE thinks so!
KING MING ...well, HE thinks so!

Ming-a-Ling...The Foxy Siamese

Ming stubbornly tries to get to the magic land of OUTSIDE
through the same window each time,
which he always THINKS is open.

He climbs to the top of the cabinets and meows for someone to save him.

If he thinks he has not been fed when he should have been...
(which is immediately after he decides it is meal-time) ...he sings.
It isn't pleasant. At all.

And what to Ming must be kisses for us ... to us feel suspiciously like
bites on the ankles!
He constantly entertains his people family,
but his favorite activity is getting Nugget, the not-quite-as-smart-as-Ming
(but very faithful) dog, into trouble.
NUGGET
When he succeeds, Ming sits licking his paws in complete happiness ...
we almost expect him to blow a puff of arrogant cat breath on a paw
and brush it back and forth very quickly across his chest.

The Big Scare

Ming has been with us since June of 1997.

In May of 1999, Luke and Leia were born and became part of our family.
LUKE and LEIA
Amazingly and immediately, Ming seemed to accept the kittens. Or so we thought.

A couple of weeks later, Ming ran away.

We searched, alerted all the neighbors, put up signs
and an ad in the paper, and worried.
Four days had passed, including two very nasty thunderstorms ...
and we feared the worst.
Although Ming still had his claws, he'd never been "alone and away from home" before.
But of course we didn't stop searching and hoping.
On the evening of the fourth day, Ming miraculously appeared.
Skinny and dirty, full of ticks, and very wobbly and weak ...
our cat had come home!
thanks Becky

We don't know what happened during those four days of
"roughing it" in Ming's life,
but we sure are glad he came back home to us!

Perhaps it's best that we will never know....... ?

What a Guy!

Although Ming joined our family
only because his first "people family" the Ritterhoffs,
left this world... he has definitely earned his place in our lives.
His whole world must have turned upside-down when Becky died.
Hopefully, we have been able to earn a special place in Ming's heart, too.
He has given us a tremendous amount of love and laughter.
The love is genuinely returned to him, and I believe
Ming-a-Ling even has his moments of secret cat laughter
...at our expense!

Hope I made you smile!
